Son of Mar

Xel looked around the arid landscape of the Haven Desert, Just outside the walls of the city of the forgotten Spargus. His sand buffeted arena clothes and armour held the copper of the precursor artefacts. The brown clothing of a desert warrior adorned the places the armour did not cover. The long Green yellow two tone hair forming an almost halo around his face, turning into a long braided pony tail in the back.

With a sigh Xel stepped forward into the sand of the barren outside. A feeling of dread over coming him as he progresses. “Least those fucks could have done was give me a ride.” with a light chuckle he picked up the small sack next to him full of food and the water sack next to it. Soon after he drew a scarf around his face and a pair of goggles for his eyes for sand protection. Silently he shoved off into the desert. Least he was not unarmed he was given a yellow modded (Rifle) attachment to his morph-gun.

Two days prior Xel was being accused of some form of treason and was given a way out of his ordeal by having to spend three days in the desert with little food munitions and shelter. A living hell as it was with constant sand storms with enough force to rend the ever skin from your body. Coupled with roving groups of bandits, it was bound to be the worst three days of his life.

A few miles away Xel looked back at the now mirage of the dome of the city with a look down he saw the foot prints he left behind. “Sand is like snow. You can run forever and it seems like you get no where.” with that he continued his trek getting to a point that he could no longer see the city. With a look around, he actually started to feel lost. After reaching into his pocket for a map he took a moment to look at his surroundings. After determining he was safe he mapped out his location and nodded to himself as he took a swig of water.

After his moment of rest he went back to walking he started to get seriously fatigued “I need to find shelter...” he said quietly. The map he looked at depicted a cavern nearby he could use as refuge. On his arrival he noticed some bandits nearby. Quickly he pulled out his gun expecting a fight. Quietly he got to a location that he could use to snipe from. Thanks to his time in the arena his shots were tight and almost perfect. Every squeeze of the trigger brought another of the three watchmen to his knees.

A moment later Xel would find himself barely avoiding a blow from what looked like a large scimitar. Attached to a bandit arm. Noticing that the blade was stuck in the rock he was just sniping from, Xel grabbed his gun and shoved the butt of the gun into his attackers elbow. This caused him to let go of the blade. Xel quickly shouldered the gun and shot the unknown attacker right between the eyes. After that he managed to free the blade from its rock and add it to his weapons collection. For the moment Xel was safe.

A while later he looked out of the cavern into the wild winds of the oncoming sand storm that covered up the looted dead bodies of his attackers. He put on the new armour that would fit him and placed the rest some place safe to sell once he got back to the city. “Least the sand cant reach me in here...” he noted to himself. Quickly he took out some food since he was starting to get hungry. The usual desert berries and fruit were given to him. Since not only were they healthy but they were also a form of liquid. “Three days is going to be rough... Still it proves my innocence then who am I to bitch..”

He knew he was safe from any threats so he found his much farther into the cave to rest After a while he dozed off into a memory.

A would have been normal day for Xel till he was called on by a man in a shadow who offered him a Dark Eco crystal. Little did he know it was robbed from Damus the local king of the forgotten ones who resided in the city. When they found out that Xel had the crystal, they immediately took him before Damus. Xel told his story but no one believed him. He was given his punishment orders and was to carry them out regardless. The next day he was out in the desert on his own with only himself to trust.

Xel woke up the next morning the mouth of the cavern was open by some miracle. Moving out he decided it was better not to stay to long. “One day down...two to go...” he said to himself as he went for his map to see when else was nearby that might be of use. “Ruins, sounds like fun...”

A mile away he found what he was looking for as precursor ruins, the ancient symbols seemed to speak to him as he walked passed. The word -Mar- flashed in his head. No one was around “Hello?” he called out as he progressed. Eventually he found his way into the sanctum of the ruins to find a man who turned around. The man turned to him with his green yellow back length hair. The man chuckled as he welcomed the younger man to his home. “Welcome...I am Mar...I'm also your father..” He explained he looked at the boys hair the color was a trait known only to Mar's descendent's “Dad is alive?” he said with wide eyes. “Yes....” Mar replied
