Memories of Destiny Islands

Author's Notes:

Ok, first upload here, so if I get something wrong, well, hopefully I'll find out and fix it. That said, what is this? This is a Post-KH2 fic, dealing with a series of events that occurred back on the Destiny Islands, surrounding Kairi, Sora and Riku. Expect more than one pairing.

At the advice of a friend who reads many a fic, I'm breaking this up into rough chapters, roughly lining up with the main scenes in the story... Might break up the flow in and out of memory, but seeing as walls of text aren't such a good thing, smaller chunks it shall be, and we'll see how it goes. Hope you enjoy. If you can, please comment and review. I'm perfectly pleased to have my work torn to ribbons in the name of constructive betterment. That said, if the pairings/conclusions aren't to your liking or personal taste, that's not exactly a constructive complaint: keep it civil and constructive, please.

Without further hassle then, onto the smut:

Memories

From the top of the hill the breeze was strong enough to catch her hair and play with it, dragging it back from her face. She closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the coolness of it, both hands gripping the strap of the heavy bag slung over her shoulder. She hated how Wednesdays always seemed to need all of her heaviest school books. At least the day was finished. With a small sigh she hefted and resettled her bag before starting down the hill, making for the path that followed the beach, and would eventually lead to her house, and a cold drink. In a way she felt disappointed how easily they’d all slipped back into the lives and worries of teenagers, but at the same time, Destiny Islands didn’t feel smaller and more confined than before, like she had read about others experiencing getting back from big adventures… it was still home, and it was nice to know how much more was out there, even if they couldn’t get there any more. It had been a surprisingly short few months since they’d gotten back.

Her eyes swept across the ocean as she walked, then lingered on the small island not too far from the shore, dotted with the not-completely stable constructs built up by generations of children’s play, and the occasional safer structure put in by considerate adults. She marvelled at how close it really was, and how far removed from everything it had seemed just a couple of years ago. That was where it had all started, so long ago now it seemed. Thoughts and images of everything that had happened came to her mind as she ran her eyes over the familiar shapes of the island, but other, far more recent, images sprang up as well, bringing a soft blush to her cheeks that had nothing to do with the weather. Of course, more than one important thing had started there now, for her.

She smiled and walked on, enjoying the private little stirrings of heat that accompanied such thoughts. She remembered every moment of it, like it had been only hours ago, but then, she supposed it was the sort of thing that one remembered, after all. Light knew Selphie had come to her with enough details about her own first time that she’d been quite stunned, besides learning things about Tidus that she was honestly rather more comfortable not knowing. She sighed as she walked, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips, remembering how it had been.

It had only been a few days after they’d all gotten home when she had felt the need to go down to the island again. She had wanted to check on the door, just to be sure that everything was as it should be. She really had to crawl now to get through the entry way, she supposed a day might come when she couldn’t get in at all any more. One hand brushed against the roots that worked their way through the space as she moved slowly along the tunnel; so many memories here. She stopped suddenly, just before the passage opened out. There was someone else. Taking another small step forward she peeked into the chamber beyond. Her heart jumped for a moment, making her breath catch. Sora was there, kneeling in exactly the same spot she had little more than a year ago, one hand against the rocks, looking at the pictures they had scratched when they were so much younger. He’d seen her own addition to it as well, an unspoken affirmation of what they both desired. She couldn’t see his face, what was he thinking? She tried to edge closer, but the movement made a small stone under her hand fall loose and click to the ground. She jumped as Sora spun around, coming to his feet.

“Kairi!” He sounded surprised, of course, but his voice wasn’t altogether steady either. She felt a hot blush racing through her cheeks. Why was she blushing?

“Sora!” She tried to laugh, though it sounded small and nervous, as she stepped into the cave proper. The door was there, as it always was to her eyes now, blank, sealed and safe. She walked over to stand in front of it. Ever since it had first shown itself, Sora, Riku and herself had been able to see it, but it seemed as though none of the others could. Perhaps they needed to be shown somehow. Her thoughts trailed off abruptly as Sora came to stand beside her. His arm was brushing against hers. He was still wearing that outfit the fairy godmothers had given him, apparently the magic made it untearable, fast-drying, self-cleaning, auto-deodorising and everything proof as well. She hadn’t seen him in anything else since they got back. He’d been lucky at school so far; not having a uniform that fit just barely cut it as reason for not wearing one, but that excuse wouldn’t hold out much longer.

“It’s hard to believe it all really happened, isn’t it, Kairi?” He was looking at the door, but glanced across at her. She quickly flicked her eyes back to the door, hoping he hadn’t noticed.

“Yeah, a little.” After a moment she swallowed and turned to look at him again. “Do you remember? This is where it happened, the day the door opened, and the darkness came, and my heart...” she hesitated, then raised her hand and pressed it against his chest, “my heart,” …was hammering against her ribs… “joined with yours.” Her hand brought Sora around to face her properly, his eyes searching hers. They were the most amazing blue. She almost jumped when his hand covered hers a moment later.

“Yeah,” He smiled at her. “And you helped me so much, even if you don’t think so. I wouldn’t have made it, without your heart there with me.” She realised she had moved in a little closer to him as he spoke, and a part of her wanted to turn away as a deeper blush crept over her skin. She didn’t though, couldn’t.

“But even after that, you didn’t just save our Islands, you protected all the worlds. You did so much for everyone, for… for me.” She became aware that her hand and his were pressed between their bodies, she’d leaned so close. “Thankyou, Sora.” Her throat felt dry and tight, and it barely came out as a whisper. She swallowed and wet her lips. His eyes were still on hers, making the blush advance.

“Kairi…” He stopped, and she realised it was because she had leaned in close enough for her lips to brush against his. Her heart hammered. What would he say, what would he think? She wanted more from her first kiss than that though. Don’t let him think, or speak, just… She kissed him again, properly this time, her eyes drifting shut as she tasted his lips on hers, becoming aware of the rest of her body pressing softly against his. The heat flushing through her began to lend a fervent edge to her kiss, her hands slipping around him, underneath his arms, one at his back, the other reaching up to tangle fingers in the hair at the back of hi head. For a moment that felt like an age, Sora did nothing, frozen, but then she felt his body relax and he was kissing her back. A small moan hummed through her as she pressed against him harder. This was it, she realised; this was what she’d been waiting for, longing for, for so long.

There was a thump, feeling wood against the backs of her hands as her unconscious advance was stopped, pinning him against the door. A little surprised, her hands retreated, resting instead against his shoulders, either side of breasts that she worried were too small. They broke for just a moment and she felt his breath on her cheek.

“Mmm… Kairi… I…” Their lips met again before he could murmur more, but his arms replaced hers, sliding around her, one at her shoulders, the other reaching down across her hips, pulling her tighter against him. His arms felt so strong and safe. The heat stemming from their kissing raced through the rest of her body, making her muscles feel weak as she leaned against him, surrounded by that embrace and caught up in the kiss that had become her whole world. A quiet moan escaped her, thrumming through her lips, into his, the heat pressing her body to him, her hips grinding with a growing, almost unconscious, need. She felt the hand at her waist move lower, caressing over her rear. He gripped slightly for a moment, amplifying the motion of her hips and pressing back with his own. It was Sora who groaned this time, though she heard herself make a small, needy sound as well. She was leaning against him completely now, her knees buckled, letting his arms and his kisses support her.

She began to slip, sliding down against him. His lower hand dragged up to her waist again, pulling the back of her skirt with it, then darted back to support her, grasping directly against the thin white fabric of her underwear. She shivered at the closeness of his touch, and gripped harder to his shoulders, determined to keep his lips where she could reach them. A moment late there was a jolt as her knees hit the dirt, leaving her sitting on her heels and chasing his hands back up. Sora’s knees rose either side of her as he sat now, his back against the door, hands rubbing over her back. Her fingers trailed down his front until they balled into small fists on the ground between her knees and his groin as she savoured his taste. She could feel her breath panting in between kisses. She tried to shuffle closer on her knees, pressing herself up a little in the process, her lips pulling away from his. A hot sigh passed her lips just before a new sensation made her gasp another breath. Sora hadn’t stopped when she moved, but kept on, his kisses trailing across her jaw and down onto the tender skin of her neck, lighting small hot fires wherever his lips touched. Her hands jumped up again, gripping the sides of his jacket and holding herself up, her head tilted to expose more of her neck for him.

Her next breath became a long, drawn out moan at his attention, turning into a sharper intake as his hands took advantage of her kneeling up position, dropping down past her hips and over her skirt, to return underneath it, caressing and gripping at her rear. Her fingers tightened on his clothes as she tilted her hips, pressing back into his hands while at the same time moving her neck and chest closer to him, instinctive actions, made before she could even think about them. The tingling warmth growing in her groin spiked as he gripped harder for a moment, pulling her closer and up further. She could feel his breath, hot and heavy against her neck as his lips travelled down further, finding and chasing along her collar bone. He was moaning quietly between breaths as well, his hands stroking and squeezing in time with his breath and his kisses, making a rhythm of movement that her hips couldn’t help but join. She shuddered at the growing heat between her legs, pressing them together more tightly, and found her hands moving again, coursing over his front and underneath the jacket to press through the shirt to his chest.

Head back, eyes shut, her breaths were panted sighs now. Her skin felt so hot, it felt like her whole body was blushing. She grabbed at the tie at her neck and pulled the knot until it came loose. More air would help. Another small moan worked its way through her panting as Sora followed her unintended lead, his lips making a small line of kisses over the top of her chest until they reached the top button on her shirt where he tugged at it with his teeth until it came open. A moment later the second one followed, revealing the edges of a delicate white bra. The cool air on her skin made the hot brushes of his kissing burn even more, and she felt her fingers clenching into balls in his shirt.

In between kisses he plucked at another button, and another, until the shirt began to slip from her shoulders, letting the cool air dance over heated skin. One hand relinquished its hold on her rear, sliding around underneath her skirt to play for a moment with the small bow at the front of her underwear, before freeing itself to quickly release the remaining buttons on her shirt. As it fell back, she felt it pull tight, restraining her arms with each motion of her body. She grabbed at it, raising her arms over her head to pull it free. Sora let himself lean back against the door again, watching her, then, following the motion, his hands moved to stroke over the top of her skirt, at her hips, then coursed upwards. Sliding exploring fingers over her middle and up further to brush over her breasts. She gasped louder than before at the sensation of his fingers. Even through the fabric of her bra, it was so different, so much more intense than her own touch ever felt.

Casting her shirt aside, her body demanded more contact, more sensation. She shifted again, moving in and closer, until only her right knee was between his, pressing close to his crotch, while her other moved forward, to his hip, on the other side of his leg, forcing it down and straight under the pressure of her groin. She could feel his body generating as much heat as her own. Her breasts rubbed and pressed against his chest as her body kept moving against him beyond her initial shift. She craned her neck, finding his lips again amidst heated breaths. He moaned back into her kiss, whispering her name in between. She felt his fingers grip harder for a moment before one hand disappeared. She felt it again, creping back under her skirt, inching further over her rear with each cycle of her hips. She let out a small cry, her head snapping up, away from his and her cheeks flushing even brighter than they already were, as she felt one finger, exploring, between his leg and the now very damp patch of her underwear that marked the core of her heat, tickling against it. The touch sent a jolt of sensation through her and she jerked forward away from it, pressing harder against his leg in the process.
“Hah! Sora!” Her surprised gasp was accompanied by fingers digging into his shoulders even as she felt him tense beneath her. His hand retreated quickly, eyes darting up to her.
“Kairi! I’m sorry, I didn’t…” Uncertainty quavered behind the desire thick on his voice. She felt another moan rise in her throat. Her body, deprived of the sudden sensation, demanded it back and her hand darted down to grab his wrist, pinning it in place as the working of her hips dragged the damp fabric back and forth over the retracted knuckle.
“No… hahh… Sora, don’t… Uhnn…” Her head dropped again as she moved, her cheek brushing against his as she leaned hard against him. She realised now that her need was no longer for his touch or his kisses; all that mattered now was the growing heat and sensation, spreading through her from her groin. Her other hand clutched fiercely onto his shoulder, adding strength to her motions, just as Sora’s free hand slid to the small of her back, pulling her against him in time. His breath was hot on her shoulder, and his cheek was flushed and heated against hers, but he didn’t seem so overcome by the same desperations that gripped her now. She could feel it building deep within her.
“Mmmm… Kairi… what…?” She heard him in between breaths, aware of the small sounds she was making with each motion now and, moving faster, feeling the blaze that was steadily growing in her groin. The wetness of her arousal was spreading, dripping, now coating his fingers even through the fabric of her underwear. The tension raced towards breaking point as she thrust herself against him, every muscle in her body tingling. So close. Her fingernails were digging into his shoulder and wrist as her gasps collected into a long drawn out moan. Sora was kissing her neck as her forehead pressed into his other shoulder, teeth clenched and eyes squeezed shut. So nearly there… Need burned through her, teetering on the edge, until Sora’s teeth found her neck between kisses, biting passionately. Her moan crescendoed into a gasped shout as her body reacted, crashing through that last barrier and washing away all thought in a torrent of ecstasy as every muscle tightened and contracted, crushing Sora against her, and her body against his. Her groaned cries continued as another wave of pleasure rushed through her, and again, her body jerking erratically to a halt against him. She could feel Sora’s hand rubbing against her back, soothing. She released his other hand and clung to him, panting heavily. He brushed his head against hers.

“Kairi… Are you…” She hushed him between pants, then raised her head enough to kiss him again. This seemed to satisfy as he kissed back, just as passionately as before.
“Hah…haa… thankyou, Sora. Hah… I’ve been waiting, so long…” She felt him remove his other hand and wipe it on the other leg of his trousers, leaving it equally unmarked by her excitement. The rubbing on her back became a warm hug.
“Kairi… I- I love you, Kairi, I mean, you know that, but I really…uhh… thankyou, too, Kairi.” His voice was still hot, and she could still feel the hard heat between his legs, where he knee touched, and she bit her lip.

“Sora… I’m sorry, I…” His hug tightened about her for a moment, cutting her short as he leaned forward with her, then back again himself to meet her eyes. They seemed like such innocent blue eyes, even after everything… What was he going to say? He grinned.

“It’s ok, Kairi, you know this outfit doesn’t mess. I hope your shirt didn’t get too dirty though” She hesitated, uncertain, and not knowing what to do, glanced over to where it had fallen, then back down at herself, and up to Sora. Despite his pink cheeks, she was sure he blushed a little, then fixed his eyes firmly back up to her face. She smiled at him, then broke into a giggle, relieved as she realise he wasn’t going to press her further. Her heart felt like it was going to burst with grateful affection and she kissed him once more, softly. She stumbled, trying to stand on watery muscles, and Sora helped her up. The odd, wet, squishy sensation between her legs wasn’t helped by decidedly soaked underwear and she made a face. Sora bent to retrieve her fallen shirt, and she took the opportunity to quickly pull off the offending garment, then sought a dry patch on them to start cleaning herself up with.

“Kairi!” She heard a scuffle and looked up to see Sora standing with his back to her, the tips of his ears a bright indicator that he was blushing more fiercely than he had yet. She stopped, looking at his back, puzzled by his reaction considering what they’d… she’d just done. After a moment she shook her head and continued. Balling the damp cloth in one fist, she shifted and straightened her skirt, then approached Sora’s back, resting a hand on his shoulder.
“Can I have my shirt back now?”
“Uh, yeah, of course.” He turned, handing it to her, and she quickly slipped it over her shoulders, doing up enough buttons to look decent again. They stood for an awkward moment, Sora watching her face, one hand still drifting where he had taken her shirt from him, Kairi rocking her shoulders slightly, hands in front of her, rather more aware of the small draft in the cave than she wished to be. After a moment, she leaned forward to kiss him again, and for another few minutes their worlds went on hold. When they at last came up for air again, Kairi stepped back, blushing afresh. Sora let his arms fall from where they had rested on her shoulders, and was standing as though trying to hide his rather insistent arousal. He let out a long breath before finding her eyes again.

“Kairi, I…” He swallowed, looking away for a moment as one hand crept up around the back of his neck in a nervous gesture. “I mean… I think… I’d really like… Would you…” His blush increased as he struggled to put words to it. She could feel her heart racing again, barely recovered as it was from her previous exertions. She clutched the scrunched up undergarment in her fist harder. She knew what he was trying to ask, what he really wanted, but…

“I’m not sure, Sora… I love you, and I do want to as well, but I just don’t know if I’m…” She gestured futilely with her hands, seeking to avoid the cliché. “…well, ready… you know? I need to think, I want…” She hesitated, biting her lip. “I want you to meet me here, tomorrow afternoon, ok? Same time, ok?” Sora seemed like he was going to say something further, but something in her didn’t want to let him. She darted forward again to hug him tightly, burying her head in his chest, then quickly stepped back a few paces before turning to flee the cave.
