Undying
Mabinogi is an MMORPG originally from Korea based loosely on an old story called the Mabinogion. This story will use original characters and a few references to other games or animes to create a much more dark tale. It will use the Mabinogi NPC's as characters, and will also feature the other forces. Oh, take note that i only have access to the North American client of Mabinogi. Some characters may be a little different than what you remember if you used a separate client.
Note: Special thanks to Lecarde on Mabinogi who helped me create this story.
Here is a list of characters and creatures and towns from Mabinogi, the original characters will be introduced in the story itself. I will only list NPCs critical to the story, the rest will be side characters of little importance.
Nao: A guide from the Soul Stream who guides worthy souls to the land of Erinn. She is the games mascot character, known for her long silver pigtails, blue eyes, and a dress that she tailored herself. It is too tight on her chest, and her large breasts are often shown off, intentionally or not.
Morrighan: A goddess with black angel wings who is a friend of Nao's, and your ultimate target for rescue in Generation 1 of Mabinogi. The stone Goddess Statues found throughout the game are in her image.
Caitlin: She runs the grocery store in Tir Chronaill in attempt to raise money and help her vision impaired mother. She is kind and works hard, but is a little overweight and is very sensitive about her physique. Her long brown hair and brown eyes are attractive nonetheless.
Bebhinn: A clerk at the bank of Tir Chronaill, she is surprisingly intelligent and loves to spread rumors. She sticks out as being one of two black characters in the North American client.
Dilys: The healer in Tir Chronaill. Very wise and talented, she is very well respected. However, she is mistrustful of men. She wears the usual Healers attire, which is a green and white dress. She is also friends with Lassar, a magic teacher in Tir Chronaill.
Duncan: The chief of Tir Chronaill. Though he is apparently very old, he still has a strong physique. He acts as a father figure to the entire village.
Trefor: Rarely seen without his black leather armor and helmet, Trefor is one of the best fighters in Tir Chronaill. However, his reliability outside of combat is questionable. Additionally, he shows signs of infatuation with Dilys.
Tir Chronaill: A small village close to the Forest of Souls where the ones guided by Nao are born. In essence, it is the hometown of almost every living being in the world of Erinn. It is very advanced for a small town, but is still not a full city. It still houses some of the best warriors in all of Erinn. It's important crops are wheat and barley.
Aeria: The daughter of the keeper of the general store in Dunbarton. A young woman of around 17 years of age, she runs a bookstore near the school. Though she is shy, she has strong feelings towards her childhood friend Stewart.
Stewart: The magic teacher of Dunbarton. Somewhat of a prodigy, he is highly gifted despite never having studied in a large city.
Aarawen: A former soldier with the Dunbarton army, but due to unknown reasons switched to being the martial arts teacher at Dunbarton. Her military background still dictates much of her life. She is very disciplined and wears her hair in armor in a neat fashion. She also strictly states that she will only be interested in someone who can defeat her in combat.
Dunbarton: A major commercial town located near the center of the continent of Uldah in the land of Erinn. Dunbarton is surrounded by a wall to protect itself from various monsters in the surrounding woods and highlands. Being a developed city, it houses several facilities including a school, restaurant, and a bookstore. There are crops growing outside of Dunbarton, as well as some farm animals. It's major crop is potatoes. Also, two major dungeons are located nearby the town.
Agnes: A gifted healer from the town of Emain Macha. Originally she became a healer because she enjoyed the garbs, but now she is famed as one of the most talented healers in Erinn. In addition to her skills, she is strikingly beautiful. So much so that men will sometimes fake injuries to see her.
Del and Delen: Twin sisters that are almost completely identical in appearance, so much to the point that they often have to remind customers who is who. Delen is more immature and flirtatious, while Del has a strong prideful side to her. They both sell flowers close to the Emain Macha fountain, and both wear their hair tied to the left. The easiest way to tell them apart is that Delen is social while Del dislikes talking about complicated things. They have a small sibling rivalry due to Del's boasting of being the oldest sister, even though there is only a three minute difference.
Osla: A somewhat enigmatic weapons dealer in Emain Macha. Not much is known about her, other than she is one of the best swordsmiths alive. However, she seems to have a strange mentality, often giving vacant stares or talking with a lisp.
Emain Macha: One of the most developed and beautiful cities in the world, known for it's art and architecture. Emain Macha is known for housing the worlds finest restaurant, tailor, and healer. It formerly had a highly famed school, but it shut down for unknown reasons. Emain Macha also houses one of the largest cathedrals on the continent, and is often the chosen place for weddings. It also is a major exporter of corn and fish.
Bangor: A mining town located to the far east, the soil of the area is very acidic and it cannot be used for farming. However, a large mine is located near the village in Barri Dungeon, making it the single largest exporter of minerals in the continent. It is also the location of the greatest blacksmith on the continent. However, several dangerous monsters are located near Bangor, so travel is risky.
Fomor: A race on Erinn that opposes humanity. Forsaken by the creators, the Fomors aim to wipe out humanity using dark magic. This battle has been going on for a long time. Though Fomors can embody themselves as demons or animate corpses, the most apparent embodiment of their magic is driving animals mad.
This story will spoil the portion of the major plot of Mabinogi that is available to North America, so do not read unless you want to see the spoilers. Also, not every chapter will have a lemon. However, the lemons and battles are too graphic to even consider posting on the regular Fanfiction.net. It will be divided into four parts, a swordsman, a druid, a sniper, and then the final battle. Each will vary in the tone of the story, the number of lemons, and the violence and emotions felt. Each part will have five chapters, and almost every member of the Mabinogi NPC cast will be introduced. There will be exceptions, and the telling of the story will be different from how it happens in the game.
I will post the first chapter, and possibly the second chapter if i have time, tomorrow.
