After the game
Ein and Serene
“Take that! HAH!” Serene struck a demon right at the throat. The demon staggered backwards, screaming a chilling, inhuman wail as blood squirted from its neck. Seconds later it fell on the ground, dead.
“There you are!” Serene turned around and saw Ein, her partner in demon slaying for two years since the defeat of Seth-Ra. “I followed the bodies. The noise helped too.” Ein said.
“Heh-heh,” Serene giggled as she spun her sickle in her hands. “Sorry I’m too noisy.”
“Don’t apologize for the noise. The bodies I saw, I almost felt sorry for the demons,” Ein replied.
“Well, I won’t apologize for that. You think we got all the demons here?” she asked.
“We haven’t checked the church yet,” Ein answered, “you know how the strongest demons like to spit on holy religions and make their nests in churches.”
“Damn bastards. Let’s get this over with,” the two began to go to the main plaza and quickly found the church. The town they had entered was called Cheseonia and when they arrived, dead bodies of the residents riddled the streets and demons feasted on those bodies. It looked like they arrived in hell.
Ein drew his sword and Serene readied her sickle. Serene held her back against a wall next to the church door and Ein braced himself as he raised his foot to kick down the door. The two of them acted as a two person military squad…“On three…THREE!”…who didn’t like to waste time. Ein ran in first and Serene followed. The church in this town was huge, and both expected it to be full of demons, but not one was in sight.
“First room’s clear,” Serene whispered.
“Shhhh!” Ein said. They both listened and heard heavy breathing. They slowly looked around and still didn’t see anything. Serene tapped Ein’s shoulder, Ein turned to her and she was pointing to the ceiling.
“Gods…” Ein muttered when he looked up. The ceiling was covered with vampires, all of them staring at Ein and Serene.
“Come, sisters. Let us kill them!” one screamed as a horde came down.
“Dammit!” Serene yelled as she readied her weapon. Ein took a defensive stance with sword in hand. They attacked like the rain, coming down all at once. Suddenly, the ‘rain’ opened up as they landed, so that they surrounded them, laughing as they did so. In a blink of an eye, Ein and Serene switched to total offense, but when they charged the vampires, the vampires just moved out of the way. It was like Ein and Serene had walls around them that pushed the vampires away, until…
“Arg…!” Ein screamed. A vampire leaped from the crowd and struck his back, ripping it open. Serene looked over at him in surprise, and let her guard down, another vampire struck her arm.
“Dammit, we aren’t getting anywhere like this!” Serene yelled, moving so that her back was facing Ein. Both had gone to full defensive mode. Both were awed as they saw the brilliant battle strategy the demons were executing.
“This strategy is perfect…” Ein began, not letting his guard down.
“This isn’t the time to be admiring the enemy!” Serene yelled, not letting her guard down either.
“Don’t you see?” Ein yelled as he blocked a blow from one vampire who jumped at him. “It’s too perfect. Only one attacks at a time, the rest are exactly the same in looks and movement.”
“So…?” Serene asked, getting annoyed.
“Facial expressions, height, and clothing are the same! All of them are standing and moving around without moving their legs, perfectly identical! To top it off, only one attacks at a time! It’s all an illusion, there’s only two of them!” he yelled.
“What?!” Serene yelled.
“There is one vampire attacking and some other random demon creating an illusion! Not that it helps us any!” Ein yelled.
Serene’s eyes drifted around the room, she then noticed some distortion on the alter in the front of the room. It looked like a perfect glass object sitting there, only one problem: glass doesn’t move. It was the demon casting the illusion and cloaking itself. “I think I see the demon casting the illusion. I’ll get rid of it, but you’ll need to cover your own ass while I do it!” she yelled.
“Go for it!” Ein yelled. Serene flew up into the air and charged the alter. The swarm of vampires followed her, quickly gaining, but not fast enough. Serene raises her weapon in midair and swings at the alter; a necromancer appears there, sliced in half as he falls off. The vampires disappear except for one. Ein charges it and with one swing decapitates it.
“Well…that’s that, I suppose. For this room, anyway.” Ein remarks, exhausted.
“And this is only the first room, I wonder what else is in this place.” Serene smiled.
Ein only shook his head, ‘Why does she seem to enjoy fighting so much?’ he wondered.
They both walked over to the door and pressed their backs on the walls around the door. Serene took the bottom half of her sickle and gently pushed the door open, it creaking all the way. She quickly moved her sickle out of the way and both waited for something to burst through the doorway…nothing. Ein peeked and only saw and empty hallway. He raised his hand to tell Serene it’s clear, but watch your step.
Ein walked into the hallway first, looking at the empty hallway in front of him while Serene followed, looking at the ceiling for anything that could attack from above. Both saw nothing. At the end of the hallway there was another door, already opened. Ein peeked inside and saw nothing. He then gave the same signal to Serene and both entered the room. There were no more doors, not even a window, only some swords hanging on the wall.
“Looks clear,” Serene said, sounding somewhat disappointed. Ein breathed a sigh of relief. “So, what do you suppose this room was used for?” Serene asked.
Ein didn’t answer; something about the wall seemed odd. The walls were solid, but one section of the wall had a break around it. “Looks like a door…” Ein said aloud.
“Oh, come on.” Serene rolled her eyes, “Secret passages only appear in corny books.”
Ein knocked on the wall and found it was hollow. He backed up and rammed the wall, which came flying open. “And what awaits us in chapter two?” he remarked sarcastically.
“Shut up,” Serene responded.
Behind the door there was a long spiral staircase. Both began walking downward. They walked down for a while until they came to an underground room, lit by strange glowing orbs. “What are these?” Serene asked.
“They’re glass balls infused with magic. They can stay lit for years on end. They aren’t used for lighting, but to keep demons away. Only very strong demons can stand it for long.” Ein explained. “We saw them traveling with Fia, Lina and Cierra, in fact, Cierra explained it.”
“Oh, yeah. I remember now.” Serene lied, ‘I should start listening to Cierra’s lectures.’ she thought to herself. “So, this room should be clear, then?”
“Well, this looks like a hallway, so who knows what’s ahead. Besides, the light doesn’t bother very strong demons, so watch yourself,” Ein answered. They cautiously walked down the hallway, ready for anything. The hallway ended in a large circular room with bodies hanging from the ceiling.
“Gods…” Ein muttered, shocked.
“Maybe this wasn’t used as a church,” Serene said, disgusted by the sight before her.
“Or the church is corrupt and got rid of people they didn’t like saying they were ‘possessed’ or something” Ein grimly responded. Both went silent.
“Well…we have no reason to jump to conclusions…” Serene began. They began to walk into the room, taking in every detail of the gruesome sight before them.
“Ya’ know…” Serene began, “sometimes I believe that we are our own worst enemy, and not the demons.”
“That’s true. Once in Asgard, there was this serial killer who killed thirty-nine people before being apprehended. When we brought him in and asked him why, all he said was that we are our own worst enemy and he saved them from themselves.” Ein responded.
“Well, I’m not that twisted…AHH!” Serene screamed.
“What?!” Ein asked, alarmed.
“T-that body just…turned its head toward me…” Serene said pointing at the one in the middle of the room.
Ein sighed, “It must be your imagination.”
“No it…!” Serene turned and glared at Ein, but before she could finish her sentence, she stopped, her face wide with horror. Just then Ein felt something grab his shoulder.
Ein turned and reached for his sword, but froze when he saw that it was one of the bodies that grabbed him. Quickly, he jumped back and broke free, the force of Ein’s sudden pull tore the rope and the body fell to the ground. All the other bodies fell just then, and the skin began to dissolve into a greenish-yellow liquid that let off a foul odor. The liquid quickly dried up and all that was left was five skeletons. Both Ein and Serene were speechless and too afraid to move as the bones began to roll to the center of the room and float into the air. Three of the torsos attached themselves to each other, connecting at the spines and the other two connected at the bottom left and right sides. Bones latched themselves at the end of the spines of the two bottom torsos and big bones connected to those bones making them look like giant feet. More long bones and torsos attached themselves at the top two torsos looking like four arms and a skull attached at the end where the hand would be. Finally, the last skull connected at the top: the head. Leftover bones fell to the ground.
Standing in the middle of the room was a twisted creature made of dead bodies. Ein and Serene had seen many zombies and living skeletons before, but you never get used to it, and this one was different from the rest. There was this distortion in the air around it and the sound inhuman wails and screams filled the room. The creepiest part was that the noise wasn’t coming from the monster, but rather it seemed the noise was in their own minds, it was coming from all directions and covering your ears didn’t make it any quieter. The distortion around the monster suddenly grew outward until it filled the room, and the screams got louder. Ein and Serene felt like knives were being jabbed into their brains. Both dropped to their knees as blood dripped from their ears.
‘That sound…I can’t focus my eyes…’ was Ein’s only thought. Both of them were losing their sense of balance, because a part of the inner ear controls it. The sound was attacking that specific part. Ein got up, trying to ignore the pain. He knew he had to do something before he couldn’t even stand. When he looked, he saw the thing move slowly toward him, head hanging low and arms draping to the sides. This thing was only making an effort to walk and somewhat hold its back up. As he charged it he noticed that as he got closer, the sound didn’t get louder or quieter. This…thing was directing sound evenly throughout the distortion in the room. Ein also noticed walking through the distortion was like moving under water, like something was weighing him down. He could barely raise his sword, but that didn’t stop him.
Ein ran clumsily toward the demon, almost tripping over his own two feet. Since he couldn’t raise his sword very high, he struck the demon’s left leg as hard as he could, the demon didn’t even flinch. The demon reached down and with its bottom right arm and the skull at the end grabbed Ein’s left leg and lifted him into the air, upside down. Ein hadn’t let go of his sword (grim angel training at work) and out of a mix of impulse and desperation swung at the thing. He left a nice deep scratch along the head of the demon, and the demon reacted by crushing Ein’s knee and dropping him on the ground. Ein got up and noticed his left leg bending ninety degrees the wrong way.
The sound of the wailing got louder and angry as it staggered backwards. Ein grabbed his sword and in less than a second: threw his sword at the demon, the sword impaled its head. The wail became angrier as it staggered backwards and Ein jumped upright on his right leg and jumped with one leg and grabbed his sword. The increase of weight made the demon lose balance and fall on its back. Holding his sword with both hands, Ein pushed down with all the strength he had left. The wail became a screech of pain and Ein’s eyes and balance had finally failed him. He threw all his weight onto the sword and finally ran the sword all the way through the skull.
A shrill cry was heard and then absolute silence the demon stopped wailing. Ein didn’t even know if he was face up on the ground, facedown on the ground or on the demon. He didn’t even know if he was breathing. His vision and senses began to return and he realized he was holding in a breath. He exhaled and found himself next to the pile of bones that was the demon. “Did I win…?” Ein asked aloud, and noticed he couldn’t hear his own voice, only a loud static sound. He tried to get up, but when he put pressure on his left leg he fell down again and a horrible wave of pain shot from it. He looked at it and it was bending to the side. Unless it was dislocated is couldn’t possibly bend that way.
He looked around and noticed the distortion in the air had vanished and Serene was sitting down looking exhausted. “You okay?” Ein yelled, but Serene didn’t even turn her head. Ein didn’t even hear himself and assumed that Serene couldn’t hear him either. They sat there for at least and hour and the buzzing in Ein’s ear stopped. “You okay?” Ein repeated and Serene looked up and nodded.
“What happened…to the demon?” Serene asked.
Ein pointed to the pile of bones next to him. “I…somehow…killed it.” he responded. “But…something’s wrong with my leg.” he finished.
Serene looked over to him and struggled to get up. She then walked over to him and sat down next to him, looking at his leg in disgust. “Damn…” was all she could say.
“It could have been worse. Um, Serene? You have some blood coming from your ear dripping down your face.”
“So do you, and your leg is screwed up,” she said, wiping the blood from Ein’s ear.
“Um…thanks,” Ein blushed. He looked at his leg and straightened it.
“What are you doing? Don’t move it.” Serene grabbed his shoulder.
“I’m going to reattach it. It will hurt more that getting it dislocated, but it’s the only way I’m getting up the stairs,” Ein said as he braced himself. With a quick jerk of his hands and a sickening snapping sound Ein reconnected his leg. An expression of incredible pain came across his face.
“Ein?!” Serene was alarmed now.
“I’m…okay,” Ein breathed. He lied down on his back to calm down and noticed the concerned look on Serene’s face. “It’s okay, I’m fine. I just need to put a sling on my leg to allow it to heal now.” He said as he took off his cape and tore two thin strips off and handed them to Serene. “Get one of those bones over there and tie it to my leg so my knee can’t move.” he instructed.
Serene obeyed, still very concerned. “Is that good?” she asked when she was done.
“Perfect, thank you…” Ein responded.
“Oh…no problem,” Serene blushed. “Wait, why are you smiling?”
“They had actual possessed people here. If it was a church it wasn’t corrupt,” Ein laughed, remembering their earlier conversation.
“Ya’ know…you’re hurt pretty bad, and you’re just laughing it off. You’ve always done it, I’ve seen things happen to you that someone like me couldn’t hope to survive and I’ve never seen you even cry. In fact, this is the first time I’ve seen you ask anyone to help you with your injuries.” she began
“Well, if I bent down to put the sling on myself, I might’ve dislocated my leg again. I heal pretty quickly though so within the day I’ll be able to stand again…” Serene then interrupted Ein.
“That isn’t the point. Why don’t you ask for help more often?” Serene asked.
“Well…I’m…not quite sure,” Ein smiled. Serene only sighed.
“Well…that sounds like one of your responses,” Serene rolled her eyes.
“Sorry,” Ein responded. They talked like that for a while until Serene asked a random question.
“What’s was it like, being a Grim Angel, I mean.” Serene asked, noticing Ein had flinched.
“Well, you just follow orders,” Ein responded.
“Like…” Serene wasn’t satisfied with the answer.
“Everything except ask questions.” Ein replied, getting the familiar dark look in his eyes. Serene went silent. “Once Ledah and I had to exterminate an entire village: men, women and children. Ledah took the north side and I took the south side. I killed all that I was supposed to. They all, of course, begged for their lives. I still don’t know why they had to be killed…”
“I’m…sorry. I had no idea,” Serene began.
“I still get nightmares, but admitting that is a sign of weakness. The truth is I’m a coward and disgrace to my homeland. That is part of the reason I didn’t return home.” Ein was shaking now, but he didn’t cry.
Serene put her hand on Ein’s shoulder. “Its okay…to cry. It isn’t a disgrace to anything.”
“I just…can’t cry anymore,” Ein pulled his sleeve up and pointed to a scar on his arm that went all around the width of his forearm. “Would you believe I got this scar when a demon tore my arm off?” Serene’s eyes widened in shock. “They sewed it back on. That was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. And through the whole experience, I didn’t cry once.”
“Ein…” Serene didn’t know what to say. “…I…”
“I’m pathetic. I guess I don’t ask for help because I want to prove I’m someone strong…” Ein sighed. “And not crying just means you don’t understand the situation fully.”
“T-that’s not true! You’re strong! You killed that…that…thing we just fought, didn’t you?” Serene pointed out.
“Well…yeah, I did,” Ein blushed. “But still…”
“The only thing wrong with you is your lack of confidence,” Serene scolded.
“Well how do you propose we fix that?” Ein asked, begging for an opportunity to change the subject. Serene only smiled and stroked his cheek. Ein blushed like mad.
“I don’t know. You tell me,” was all she said. She shifted positions so she was gently sitting on his lap, looking at him in a way that made him very uncomfortable.
“…I…think my leg is…better…now,” Ein stammered. Serene tapped Ein’s leg and Ein winced in pain.
“No it isn’t…” she whispered as she slowly lowered her head to his. He could feel her breath on his face.
‘What suddenly came over her? Did I miss something? One minute she’s scolding me and the next…she’s…’ Ein’s thoughts were jumbled. “Serene, what are you doing?” Ein tried to get up but Serene’s hands shot to his shoulders to pin him down. She smiled as she took a long cloth out of her pocket.
“I’ve been saving this for you, Ein,” she whispered in a sexy hiss.
“For what?” Ein asked, shaking. ‘Something’s wrong. What is she doing? And why? What does she plan to do with that?’
Now both her hands were off Ein, but Ein was too scared to move. She grabbed his wrists and shoved them underneath him. Then she skillfully shoved her own hands under him and tied his hands together. She then pinned his shoulders down again. “Look at you…so…vulnerable,” she giggled. Ein was now greatly disturbed.
‘Is she drunk or on drugs or something?’ Ein asked himself. “What are you doing Serene?” he asked.
“Just thanking you for saving my life again,” Serene whispered as she lowered her head and kissed him. She put her hands on both sides of his head deepened the kiss.
Ein began struggling to get his hands free from the cloth, but it was no use. Most guys would be in heaven, but not Ein. The rational part of his mind told him to stop this, but the irrational part (the part in his pants) said otherwise. His head erupted into a civil war and no side was winning now. Serene broke the kiss and both gasped for air. Serene reached and grabbed the knife she always carried. She held it in her hand as she licked her lips.
‘Oh lords, this won’t end well,’ Ein thought. Serene grabbed Ein’s shirt and began to cut it off. In no time she shredded his shirt and threw the tatters off to the side. Still pinning him down with one arm she held her knife with her right hand upside-down. She lowered the blade of her knife and ran the tip of it across his skin. Ein clenched his eyes closed in pain as his blood seeped from the wound. When he opened his eyes he saw Serene lower her head and slowly lick the wound clean. Ein grunted, it hurt, but at the same time it felt so good.
“Serene…stop…” Ein grunted as Serene proceeded to make another cut along his chest. Serene ignored the comment and started licking up the blood from the newly open wound. Ein moaned as his resistance began to fail him. The cuts were very shallow and healed quickly, especially since Ein’s wounds healed quickly because he was an angel. This didn’t deter Serene, she just made another cut somewhere else and licked up the blood, ever so slowly. The pain was slight, but the pleasure was agonizing. Ein’s resistance was rapidly fading while Serene teased him in a very…sick and disturbing way. Ein shut his eyes, desperately trying to think of something else.
“Don’t ignore me, Ein,” Serene said as she started to rub her ass against his cock. Ein’s eyes shot wide open. “Maybe I’ll give you something to look at,” she said as she put the knife down and began to take her shirt off. Ein watched with eyes wide as she got it off (no bra) and threw it off to the side. Ein’s only thought was along the lines of how they were the perfect size and how they could easily fit into his hands.
Serene giggles as she starts stroking his cheek again. “Pervert, you’re drooling,” she says aloud. Ein’s mind snaps back and he tries to get up, but Serene still is pinning him down. She smiles as she wipes the saliva off and licks it off her finger. “I think you’ve had enough torture now,” she whispered as she moves her hand to pin him down by the chest and lifts her abdomen off and with her other hand takes Ein’s pants and underwear off, then her pants and panties. Ein only stared in awe of the sight before him: Serene’s womanhood in all its feminine glory.
Ein snapped his mind back and tried to get up, it was pointless however, she had him pinned down good. “Wait, Serene, we can’t…I mean we…” Ein stammered, trying to find the right words.
“We’ve gone too far to stop now,” Serene said as her pussy dripped on Ein’s manhood, “much too far…” She began to lower herself onto him.
‘She’s so tight…’ Ein thought. Serene’s ass was now resting on Ein’s lap. He was fully inside of her, and both were breathing heavily. Ein noticed she didn’t have a hymn. ‘She knows too much about sex. This can’t be her first time,’ Ein didn’t have much time to dwell on these thought. Serene began to slide up and down on his pole. She started slowly at first, but quickly picked up the pace. Ein’s resistance was gone now. “Serene…” he moaned.
“Oh…Ein, its never been…this good…!” Serene yelled. She quickened the pace and moaned even louder.
Ein was staring at the sight before him, Serene naked and fucking him, her breasts bouncing up and down and her head thrown back as she moaned. Her wings were draped in front of her but he still had a clear view of everything. Ein started bucking his hips to drive himself deeper into her, causing Serene to moan his name louder. Ein looked at his lap and saw their fluids mixed with blood on his lap, oozing off onto the floor.
They were screaming each other’s names now, both feeling a pressure build in their loins. “Serene…I’m gonna…” Serene knew what Ein meant, and hearing him say this only encouraged her to go faster. “SERENE!” he screamed as he shot his load into her, half staying in and half leaking out into his lap.
“Ein…I…AAAHHHHH!” Serene climaxed soon after; her fluid came gushing out onto not only Ein’s lap, but his legs and lower stomach as well. Serene had stopped her pace, both catching their breaths.
“Serene, this wasn’t your first time, was it?” Ein asked. Serene stood up, her pussy dripping onto the floor.
“What makes you think that?” she innocently asked.
“That ‘it’s never been this good’ comment.”
“Oh, you heard that. Well, I’m not telling you,” she smiled as she untied his hands. Ein tapped his knee to see if it was okay. It wasn’t.
“Leg still hurts,” he said. Serene pushed him down and laid down next to him. She rested her arm on his chest and her leg on his stomach.
“Lets sleep here tonight,” she whispered.
“Serene?”
“Yeah?”
“You owe me a new shirt,” They smiled at each other and soon fell asleep.
“Take that! HAH!” Serene struck a demon right at the throat. The demon staggered backwards, screaming a chilling, inhuman wail as blood squirted from its neck. Seconds later it fell on the ground, dead.
