Royal Roses

[I know it's a rare pairing but I really like these two, other than Dart/Rose. ^o^ We need more LoD fics!]

Chapter One: Roses

How hard it was for Rose to give up Dart for Shana. How heartbroken she was, but she knew in her heart that both she and Dart were not meant to be for Shana was Dart's childhood friend.

The cool wind blew past her. She looked up the sky as the doves flew around the castle. "...Rose."

Upon hearing her name, Rose turned to see the one and only: King Albert. "King Albert..." She responded. Albert smiled and stood beside her, watching the sky with her.

"Don't be so formal, Rose. You can call me, Albert." He said. Rose nodded and with a sigh she looked at him. "What?" He asked.

Rose shook her head, "You are not like other kings. You are so...normal. You don't like to be adressed so formal...and you don't really give a rat's ass of how people see you."

Albert laughed. "I guess I wouldn't give a, 'rats ass', but that's just me. I'm a king...people think they know me so well, but they have no idea how hard it is." Rose nodded.

"I...think I know how you feel." She said. "What are you doing here anyway?"

"Hm...I thought I'd get some fresh air. Meru has been following me asking me countless of questions...so I just needed to be alone." He confessed. Rose looked at him.

"Oh, then I'll be on my way." She said. Albert gently took her hand and shook his head.

"It's okay, I really enjoy your company." He said. Rose hid the blush forming on her cheeks. "Rose...your blushing?"

Rose shook her head. "I don't blush." She lied. Albert chuckled. "What's so funny?"

"Aw...Rose don't be so mad. Everyone blushes from time to time, I'm happy to see you blush actually. You're a very beautiful woman." He said. Rose almost smiled.

'Beautiful? He thinks I'M beautiful?' She asked herself. Albert studied her face. "Yes...I think you are beautiful." He said, as if he were reading her mind.

"No, I am anything but beautiful. Shana is beautiful. I am..ugly. A monster, Albert." Rose said. Albert frowned.

"How can I prove it to you?" Albert asked.

"You cannot prove anything that is not true, Albert." Rose replied. Albert scratched his chin for a minute and smiled. Rose only looked at him as he gently took her from her shoulders. He pressed his lips on hers.

Shocked to feel the king's lips on hers, Rose pulled away. "You know you can't do that." She said. Albert smiled.

"I can, Rose. I...just want you to stop thinking of yourself, ugly. Who cares how Shana looks...it's you who I like, not her." He confessed. Rose looked up at him. Albert took her by her waist and pulled her towards him. This time, Rose planted a passionate kiss on his lips.

Albert quickly took her into his room, where the two fell on his bed. Rose only took off his shirt and let her hands roam around his chest as Albert unzipped her shirt.

Her fresh scent aroused his nostrils as he took off her shirt; Rose would only blush as the king took her nipple in his mouth and began to suck on it lightly. Rose moaned.

Outside...where everyone stood to look for both Rose and Albert would only hear the moans coming from Albert's room. Dart and Shana looked at each other.

"Is...Albert okay?" Meru asked. Unknowningly, Rose yelled as Albert bit her soft nippeles. Meru blushed. "...Someone should check up on him!"

Miranda sighed and began to walk to the door. Albert was now on top of the girl and kissing her lightly. "...I won't do it...until you are ready." Albert said, Rose kissed him.

"I know..." She said. Albert hugged her and placed light kisses on her neck. Miranda would come in staring at the both of them with her eyes widened.

"Ah...hello?" Albert blushed.

"I-I'm sorry!" Miranda yelled and left. Dart would only look at the girl rush past him. "We'll have to be patient, then..." Meru sighed.

"Albert...thank you." Rose started as she placed her garments back on. Albert nodded.

"Thank you...Rose." Rose smiled and kissed him. "Remember, Rose...you are mines." He laughed.

"And you are MINE." She responded.
