A Stroll Through Hyrule
The Legend of Zelda: Evil's Bane
by Joshua John Mears

Chapter Six is up...this one is going to be a bit slower paced, in preperation for some real neat stuff.

Chapter Six
Link ran through the Hyrule countryside, breathing heavily. He found himself sobbing, his chest aching from a lack of air. He knew he was pushing himstoo too hard, and slowed down to a walk. He had to keep a level head if he was to solve this problem. He'd learned that long ago.
Slowly he walked, looking about at the beautiful Hylian countryside, taking in the groves of wild flowers, the strong trees, the pristine waterfronts that never seemed to get old.
Stopping for a moment, he drew the Master Sword. The blade shone in the sunlight, the carved hilt feeling solid in his hand. He smiled. It may be wrong, but it did feel goo beo be holding the Blade of Evil's Bane again.
He continued walking, whistling softly to himself, and began to think about Kakariko.
He loved the place, really. Maybe not all it's inhabitants, no, but the town itself. He grimaced, remembering the sarcastic little smirk on the face of that man who would always run from him.No matter what he did it never seemed he could catch him. And those overzealous villagers who called spear-toting soldiers after him.
Scowling, he continued on. He had to keep his feelings to himself, he was a hero. Even if he would like to pull out the fire rod and burn them into so many pieces of fine charcoal.
In the back of his mind, something told him that these thoughts were completely foreign to him. He'd never thought evil before, not ever!
But now was different. Now he was grown. Now he had experienced enough to develop a bit of a resentment towards certain things...
He stopped at the northern entrance to Kakariko Village, and leaned on the Master Sword, pondering what to do first. He really ought to visit Sahasrahla, but perhaps he'd go to see an old friend.
Sheathing the Master Sword, he nodded to himself, and walked forward.
