Alucard's Dream
He laid on the couch, looking up at the ceiling. He felt regret for hurting Iria, but it couldn’t be helped. If he returned her love, she would just be harmed even more. Let her find love with someone else. Someone more suited to her light. He flipped on his side and thought of a list of qualified men that would suite Iria.
“Yuhi? No, he loves Chidori. Mark? No, he’s far too reckless. Korl? No, too pampered. Kusanagi? No. Ryo? Maybe… Sage? No… No…no…no…damn.” He growled and flipped onto his back. No one really suited his Iria.
“That’s not true. You suite her quite well.” Alucard groaned and closed his eyes. Soon slipping into a deep sleep.
The Dream
He was in his father’s domain, Castlevannia. The stink of blood was everywhere. Bodies of butchered women in white gowns were all over. All the women resembled Sonya. His Sonya. Alucard howled and looked down at his hands. They were covered in blood. In a state of rage, he leapt up towards his father’s throne room, her blood gagging him.
At the top he looked around for his father. Suddenly Iria appeared in front of him. She was dressed in a white gown just like Sonya; only she wasn’t bloody, her eyes looking at him lovingly. He took a step towards her but stopped when he say a tall, dark skinned man step out from behind her, Jacob, Cain’s only son. He grinned and wrapped his arms around Iria’s waist. Alucard let out a growl as she closed her eyes and tilted her head to the side for him.
Jacob’s eyes locked with his own as he lowered his mouth to her throat.
“What you didn’t claim, I will take,” and with that pierced Iria’s throat with his vampiric teeth.
Iria cried out Alucard’s name in pain as her blood began to stain her gown.
His eyes snapped open as he bolted out of bed. He placed a hand on his face as he took deep breaths. He was completely covered in sweat, his heart racing rapidly in his chest. When reality slowly came back into focus was when he realized it was just a dream. Sighing, he slid of the couch and went to check on Iria. He opened the door without knocking and sat next to her sleeping form on the bed.
Her brown hair laid loosely on the pillow and her lips slightly parted as if in a sweet doze. He gently placed a hand on her forehead and smoothed back her hair. She moaned his name in her sleep as tears slid down her cheeks. Alucard felt a painful squeeze on his heart then thought back to her dream. Would someone like that really come to claim her as his own? He’d rather die than she her in the arms of Jacob or someone worse.
He lovingly took one of her hands in his and froze when he noticed she was freezing. Was it the poison? No, he had already killed it off. Had Jacob done this? In a panic he laid Iria on her back and tried to wake her up.
“Iria? Iria! Iria, please, wake up!” He took her by the shoulders and started to shake her.
She gave him no response, his panic increased. In desperation and sorrow, he crushed her against him.
“I’m sorry, Iria. Please forgive me.” He placed his lips over her cold ones. “I love you.”
Iria's Dream
Iria felt complete coldness surround her. She sat on a stone floor, completely nude and alone. Tears of sorrow fell down her cheeks and she placed her knees against her chest. She was alone, somewhere where no one could hurt her ever again.
“Iria? Iria! Iria, please, wake up!”
A voice cried piercing through the emptiness. Iria opened her eyes and looked around for the source.
“Alucard?” She stood up and was suddenly in the silver gown she had worn to sleep in.
“I’m sorry, Iria. Please forgive me,” his voice once again piercing her dream world.
“Alucard! Where are you?” She looked around desperately, the dream world slowly melting away.
“I love you.”
Iria’s eyes snapped open and looked up at the man that held her.
“Alucard,” she whispered softly to him.
He opened his eyes and gently lowered her back down on the bed. Their eyes met and it was then that he knew his true feelings for her. He crushed her fragile form against his own and rained soft kisses all over her face, murmuring her name lovingly.
