Iria’s POV
Iria groaned in her sleep. Alucard’s scent had disappeared and had been replaced by the smell of food. Her stomach growled at her and she growled back. Her eyes burned slightly as she opened them. She was no longer in that mutant’s dungeon, but in a plainly decorated bed. Groaning at her soreness, Iria got up and followed the smell that had manipulated her body.
She walked into the kitchen and gapped at the sight she saw. She saw Alucard, a badass vampire hunter, leaning over a stove cooking. In a million years she never imagined seeing him like that. He looked up from his cooking and straight at her. For a brief second, she saw something flicker in his eyes, but then they returned to normal. She watched as he wordlessly placed the food on the plates and set them on the table. “You shouldn’t be up yet. You should go and rest,” his said coldly as he finished placing the food on the table.
Iria felt the corners of her mouth twitch. “I’ll be fine,” she looked around, “where are we?” “We’re a few miles from Giema. In Myer’s safe house,” he didn’t even look up at her. Iria frowned at his coldness and took a place at the table. He sat across from her, but they ate in silence. Iria would casually glance towards him but he was concentrating more on his food. She finished and left without a word.
“I don’t know why I’m so hurt. He’s always cold towards me,” she thought to herself as she plopped onto the bed and glanced up at the ceiling. She closed her eyes and tried to sleep, but it was no use. All she could think of was Alucard. She groaned and got out of bed. She had to talk to him.
Alucard’s POV
He growled at himself. All through their meal he hadn’t spoken one word. ONE! All he wanted was to reach up and take her then and there. Being alone with her wasn’t a good thing. His body was screaming for her. Alucard wanted nothing more than to hear her scream his name in pleasure. He wanted it. He wanted HER! He clenched his jaw more tightly and turned to his side.
Her smell had already reached his nose. Even though he didn’t have sensitive nose like InuYasha, he could still smell her from where he was, she smelt of plumeria and freshwater. He closed his eyes tighter and thought of how her body would feel against his own, the sight of her withering under him. Whimpering, crying out his name as she reached her climax. His member stirred in between his legs and he told it to quit.
“Alucard?” her voice pierced through his thoughts. He turned and looked up at her. She was attired in a silver silk gown that probably belonged to Charlotte. It looked much better on her; she looked as if she was truly an angel. He cleared his thoughts and sat up. “Yes.”
Her eyes averted to the ground. Why was she so nervous? She sat next to him and he groaned to himself. He could smell her arousal. Was it because of him? He looked down at her, meeting her eyes. As if in a trance her cupped her face in his hands and pressed his lips urgently to her own. She whimpered as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed her into the couch. They exchanged desperate kisses as his hands roamed her body through the silk gown.
She gasped as his lips traveled down to her neck as his fingers massaged her swollen breast. He broke away quickly and jumped away from her as if she was fire. She whimpered in disappointment and looked up at him. She looked down at the bed. “Why?” her voice but a whisper. She looked up at him with tears in her eyes. “Why must you always push me away? I love you! I’ve always loved you but you push me away!!” Alucard felt his heart constrict. He cleared his voice and looked down at her coldly. “You cannot love me for you are light and I am shadow. We can never be. I don’t feel the same way you do.”
Iria’s POV
She felt her heart shatter into a million pieces. Hot tears ran their way down her face. His image blurred in front of her. She felt every muscle in her body shake but she still managed to get off the bed and run to the solace of the next room. She landed on the bed burying her face into the pillows and wept. She cried until nothing else came out.
She knew he had to feel something for her. His kiss and touch had proved it. Had he merely desired her? Just wanted to take her and leave it at that? These kinds of thoughts plagued her mind until exhaustion kicked in and she fell asleep.
She tossed and turned throughout her sleep. Thinking of Alucard and his words. “We can never be…” Her heart ached. She loved him despite the fact he was part vampire. She loved him despite their differences. She didn’t want to wake. She never wanted to be in a world without love.
