Chapter 3

Harry walked upstairs once he began to feel tired; he hoped perhaps he could share a room with someone as he didn’t feel quite right. Knocking on one of the bedroom doors the brunet girl answered.

“Hi, I was wondering if I could share a room.” Harry looked down.

The brunet looked behind her, “Um, I don’t know…” She said to him.

Harry held up his hands, “Its fine. I understand if it’s weird sharing with a man. I’ll go check out the other rooms.” Harry said trying to take her potential worries to mind.

Angela knew he had a really hard day; she knew how hard it was to be alone after such a horrible experience, and it made it hard for her to just turn him away like that. “I suppose you could stay for a little while.” Angela decided it might be nice if she just gave him a chance.

Harry’s face seemed to brighten up when she opened the door wider. “Thanks, you don’t know what this means to me.” Harry looked into her dark eyes.

Angela crossed her arms and looked down, “Don’t mention it.”

Harry looked around the room; it was very vibrant with colour, and almost warming just to look at. Harry sat down at the foot of the large bed. “So, why are you down here?” Harry was not only interested he was desperate to make some sort of conversation.

“I um… I killed someone.” Angela seemed uneasy about this subject as she walked over to the large triple dresser and busied her hands with sorting the nail polish by colour.

Harry nodded, “That’s too bad. I never would have thought by looking at you.” Harry was genuinely surprised by this.

Angela began sorting the dresser top so it looked neat, “Why are you here?”

“I’m here because of my daughter.” Angela turned quickly.

Harry paused as he noticed her alarmed look, “You’re a father?”

Harry smiled and nodded, “Yeah, my wife and I adopted Cheryl after we found her just outside of Silent Hill. My wife was sick you see so; we couldn’t have any kids of our own. Ovarian cancer took her away from us when Cheryl was just a little girl. I tried to make it as happy as I could for Cheryl but being a single father isn’t easy.” Harry said looked down as he thought of the beautiful little girl.

“So you killed her!” Angela screamed at him.

It was Harry’s turn to be alarmed, “No! she’s still alive! I killed a bunch of people who tried to hurt Cheryl.” Harry defended himself quickly as he noticed Angela was gripping a vase very threateningly.

“LIAR! She’s dead and you killed her!” Angela took a few steps closer making Harry stand up quickly.

Whatever Harry just said, it triggered something in the brunet. “Are you alright?” Harry asked her concerned.

Angela’s eyes seemed to dilate; the vase fell from her hands and hit the floor causing it to shatter. Harry looked from the vase to Angela, “I’m… I’m sorry, I-” She began to tear up.

Harry immediately held out his hands, “It’s alright, let me just clean this up for you.” Angela backed up as Harry got onto the ground and began picking up the broken shards of glass.

A lighter subject than that might have been smarter, “What’s your name anyway?”

“I’m Angela Orosco.” She replied before biting down on her index finger.

Harry stood up with all the broken glass in hand, “Harry Mason.” He replied before dumping the shards into a small container.

Angela took a seat on the end of the bed looking slightly lost, “So, what exactly happened just now?” Harry asked pointing to the place where the vase broke.

Angela shook her head, “I’m not sure, you mentioned something about trying to give your daughter a good life?” Angela tried to recall.

Harry realized he had overlooked something; she had split personality disorder which only comes commonly with an abusive pastime. “Who did you kill, Angela?” Harry asked calmly as she looked up worried, “I’m not going to judge you.” Harry shook his head.

Angela looked upset, but perhaps getting through to a bit of her past would be key in avoiding any more mishaps. “My father… I forgot about it but, I killed him.” Angela hugged her arms.

Harry took a few steps closer hoping he wasn’t invading her space. “Why did you kill him?” Harry asked softly.

Angela looked up at him; her eyes began to fill with pain, and suddenly he knew what he had just walked into before she even said it, “He tried to touch me again… I had to stop him so I took the knife from the kitchen.” Angela told him sadly.

Harry shook his head, “I don’t know how a father could do that to his own child. I’m really sorry you had to go that far to get away.” Harry sat down on a small stool a meter away from her place on the bed.

Angela looked up at him; she could finally look him in the eyes without turning away. “Tell me more about why you’re here.” Angela requested as calmly as possible.

“When Cheryl was only about seven she begged me to take her back to Silent Hill. I gave in after weeks of begging.” Harry smiled slightly at the memory, “When we got there, a girl stepped onto the road and she looked just like my daughter; I crashed the jeep and when I woke up Cheryl was gone.” Harry paused there.

Angela was interested, “What did you do?”

“I went all over that damn town looking for her. I kept running into these strange people, Lisa was one of them. Then I realized what my daughter really was, and I knew I had to get her out of that place fast.” Harry shook his head sadly.

“Your daughter, what was she?” Angela asked confused.

“She was created by her mother, Dahlia just to birth a God. Her soul had split itself in two just to escape that town; then her other half called her back. I found Dahlia, but it was too late. I had lost Cheryl, and I ended up killing the God she birthed. When I defeated the God, that girl that had made me crash my jeep showed up holding a baby.” Harry looked up at Angela emotionally.

“Was it Cheryl?” Angela shifted forward as she questioned him.

Harry nodded, “She was back together again. I took the baby and I left that town forever. I got chased around by the cult a lot; they were looking for Cheryl to finish what I stopped. I had to kill a cultist to escape; Cheryl and I moved to Portland and I had her change her name to Heather Morris. It seemed like we were safe for a while, but then the cult priestess came right to my apartment. Her monster killed me, and that’s why I’m here.” Harry told her clasping his hands together.

Angela shook her head amazed, “That’s the most amazing story I’ve ever heard.”

Harry nodded slowly, “I just hope she’s alright where ever she is.” Harry told the woman before him.

“You were a good father. I wish I knew something about that…” Angela rubbed her arm awkwardly.

Harry looked up at the clock on the wall, “I should probably go. We all need some rest.” Harry suggested getting to his feet.

Angela stood up quickly, “I thought you didn’t want to be alone?” Angela asked as Harry stopped before the door.

“I don’t want to upset you if I stay in here. You can’t be very trustworthy of men after all you’ve been through.” Harry noted how she acted around Alex and Walter.

Angela shook her head, “I think it would be alright if you stayed; just don’t make any strange movements in the bed, alright?” She said as she got into her side.

Harry opened the door ajar, “I’ll leave this open for you.” Harry took into consideration her comfort factor.

Angela smiled softly before turning away from him on her side of the bed.

Harry got as close to the edge of his side as possible just to make sure she was alright with him there. It would take some time before Angela could trust him fully; that was alright with Harry.

Elle had managed to check out most of the rooms in the mansion; overall her living conditions were up to seventy-five percent better than her previous living conditions aside from a few details like the forced sexual conduct and the deranged man conducting it.

Elle decided she was going to give up looking around the place soon; it was getting late and Alex would get worried if she didn’t turn up within the hour. Opening up a room off the main hallway she found herself standing inside a room of what looked like the interior of a sex shop. Elle closed the door behind her and began to look around; there were shelves of sexual help books, nearly every kind of condoms and lubricants imaginable along with various sex toys. Somehow it all seemed fairly lucky to have.

Elle walked over to the stand that contained several different sized dildos. Picking up a thin one she realized with disgust it wasn’t meant for a vagina. The thought of how badly it must have hurt Harry with no previous stretching began to come to mind. Perhaps she should be prepared just in case? It certainly would be a lot easier to be prepared for anything; one of the only important lessons her mother told her as a child.

It seemed disgusting but perhaps in the end it might pay off to at least try it out. Elle looked over at the stand of condoms and decided to take a lubricated one off the stand. Ell placed it over the dildo and decided it would be more sanitary to use it that way.

Running over to the door she decided to lock it; someone walking in on her would be an event she never would live through especially if it were Alex. It was quite possible he’d find it disgusting she would even think of doing something like she was. There wasn’t much option as she needed to be ready for anything.

Grabbing an anal sex book off the shelf she decided it might be nice to learn a few things before she got started. Opening the book she sat down on the floor and began to read. It was times like these she felt like she was using her time wisely.

Alex looked up at the clock; Elle had been exploring an awfully long time. Getting up he decided it was high time he went looking for her. Just as he stood up the door opened, and in walked Elle with a strange expression on her face. “You’re back.” Alex sat down again relieved.

“I told you I’d come back.” Elle walked slightly strange before slowly sitting herself down on the bed beside him.

“Elle, are you alright?” Alex asked concerned.

Elle smiled as best as she could, “Alex relax, I just hurt my leg when I tripped. The halls are pretty sleek.” She lied.

Alex nodded, “Yeah, they can be.”

Laying down in the big bed she turned away from him, “Look, I know you’re worried about tomorrow. If you need to talk, I’m here to listen.” Alex promised Elle.

“I’m not all that worried, unlike you I only have to be touched by a girl, not anally probed.” Elle explained closing her eyes.

Alex nodded, “Alright, as long as you’re alright.” Alex lay down beside her and looked at her softly.

“You know, I’m really glad that even in Hell, you’re right here with me.” Alex said to her.

Elle looked over her shoulder, “I’m glad too. You’re the best friend anyone could ask for. Thank you for trying to protect me.” Elle smiled back at him.

“Don’t mention it.” Alex put his arm around her stomach and closed his eyes, “Good luck to you for tomorrow.” Alex said to his best friend.

“Thanks.” She smiled softly before attempting to drift off into dreamland.

As morning came the new residents began to wake up. Walter sat alone in his room; a dark smile stretched across his face. His plan was working; everyone was bonding regardless of the speed. Soon he would have what he was working so hard for; a real family.
