Love Blooms

When the fire died out, Ranmaru was on the ground, his head was on the other's lap as Mitsuhide was sitting up, just watching around for those army guys, they probably figured it out by now that Ranmaru wasn't there. He looked up to see the sky lighting up from the rising sun. He looked down at the other and he sighed, started to stroke the other's hair gently with his fingers, frowning slightly. This poor boy lost everything, now he's under Mitsuhide's wing. Ranmaru stirred underneath Mitsuhide, he rolled to his back and opened his eyes to see Mitsuhide looking down at him. He could now focas on his savior, it was like what he told his mom what he wanted Mitsuhide to look like. Thank the gods...

"Hey..." He said and sat up, hugging the blanket he still had.
"Hey. What is your name?" Mitsuhide asked.
"Ranmaru Mori...." He looked down.
"Okay, Ranmaru right? Well I'm going to take care of you, there's nothing to worry about. Your father was a good friend of mine...so I'll look after you for his wishes." He smiled and stood up.

Ranmaru sighed, he looked over at the grave of his mother and sat up on his knees, just looking at it.

"Where is my father? My brothers?" He asked.
"I don't know...but I pssed your father on the road, he said he was doing business, which by my opinion is a fight. But he said 'If anything happens to me, I want you to look after the rest of my family.' " Mitsuhide said as he put his hand on the top of his sword and held out a hand to Ranmaru.
"Mitsuhide...do you think they died?" He asked, looking up, tears in his eyes and taking the hand.
"It's hard to say..." He frowned and helped the other up.

The ronin wrapped an arm around Ranamru's shoulders and pulled him in as Ranmaru hugged the other. A simple whistle from Mitsuhide as a horse appeared. Ranmaru pulled back and smiled, he didn't know that horses could he trained to come from a whistle. The long raven haired man got on his horse and reached up for the other, pulling him behind him.

"I need clothes." Ranmaru said.
"Of course, in the next town, I'll get you some." He smiled and took off as Ranmaru held onto Mitsuhide's waist.

A few hours later when they entered a busy town, since it was about noon people scattered about, trying to get things ready and done with, Mitsuhide stopped as he got someone's attention.

"Hello, could you tell me where there's a clothing store?" He asked.
"Sure, there's one nextdoor." She pointed and bowed.
"Thank you." He said and got off his horse.

He helped Ranmaru off the horse and made sure that the other's blanket was closed at all times. He walked in the shop, his hand in Ranmaru's. A lady came out and bowed, a smile on her face.

"Welcome, what can I do for you today?" She asked
"I would like a pair of grey shorts and a kimono top." Mitsuhide said.
"Of course, what color would you like?" She asked.
"What color would you like Ranmaru?" He asked.
"Purple. The color of loyalty." Ranmaru smiled.

After the girl went into the back, she came out with both of the things and turned around as Ranmaru let go of the blanket as it fell to the ground. Mitsuhide blushed a little but after getting the shorts on, he started to put on the purple kimono. After he was done, he held onto the waist. She turned around.

"I believe a string is needed." She laughed

The woman fetched out a golden string from her set to the left and gave it to Mitsuhide as he tied it around Ranmaru's waist, making a bow in the back. After a bit, he looked down at his feet and Mitsuhide chuckled.

"Thank you." The ronin paid her from his bag and smiled.
"You're welcome." She bowed and went back into the back.
"I'll pay you back Mitsuhide." Ranmaru said.
"With what?" He chuckled.
"Well I will don't worry."
"Don't worry about it." Mitsuhide laughed.
"I need shoes..." Ranmaru quickly changed the subject.
"Of course, I wonder if there's a good weapon and armor shop nearby...and get on, I'm not having you walk around shoeless on these grounds, there could be something sharp." Mitsuhide turned around and leaned down.
"On your back?" He asked with a slight blush.
"Of course." He smiled.
"Um...okay..." He smiled back.

Ranmaru hopped on Mitsuhide's back as the other held onto Ranmaru's legs, he walked out of the shop and started walking down the street, looking at the signs. Finally Ranmaru noticed a sign around the corner when they came to a cross location in the town.

"It's down there." He pointed to it.
"Good eye Ranmaru." He chuckled and started walking towards it.

Ranmaru was starting to love this man more and more by the minute, what it just him or was Mitsuhide perfect? When they entered the weapons and armor shop, a big bulky man stepped out.

"What can I get you?" He grumbled.
"Armored shoes for my friend here." Mitsuhide said.
"Alright, the shoes are right there, find your size." He said and went back to pounding on a sword.

He set Ranmaru down on the bench as the first one he grabbed fit him perfecting, it even had shin guards that go up to his knees. The man who was pounding was muttering something about female warriors. Mitsuhide heard him and chuckled, there wasn't a moment when Ranmaru wasn't mistaken as a female.

"They fit perfectly." Ranmaru smiled as he hopped up.
"Great." He smiled.

Mitsuhide put the gold on the stand where the boots were as both of them walked out. Ranmaru was as happy as a little kid in a carnival, he held onto Mitsuhide's arm though, still a bit scared of what could happen at any minute.

"Who is the Lord of this village?" He asked silently to his caretaker.
"It seems to be the Takeda." Mitsuhide said as he noticed the flag.
"Oh. You mean Shingen Takeda? Doesn't he have a ninja girl with him? What's her name again....?" Ranmaru asked.
"Kunoichi." Mitsuhide said.
"Ah yes. Her. My father told me alot of things." He chuckled.
"Yes, your father was full of knowledge." The ronin smiled.

All of a sudden there were screams and people running towards the castle, a bunch of riders coming through the town on horses, carrying the Oda flag on the back. Mitshide's eyes widened, he grabbed Ranmaru's hand and hid him in nearby bushes.

"Stay there." He said and ran off.

Ranmaru curled up as he put his hands on his ears and closed his eyes tightly, this wasn't happening!! Mitsuhide left him!! No!!

"Please god, don't let anything happen to Mitsuhide..." He whsipered.

Mitsuhide Akechi smiled as he came out suddenly around the corner and puled out his word, striking on down as he hopped onto the horse and skidding around the corner with the horse and slayed another, flipping on his horse, he tripped a horse as the soldier went flying to the ground. As the others gather Mitsuhide, he just smiled.

"Alright you got me." He smiled.

The soldiers grinned and they all hopped off their horses, coming towards the raven haired ronin. With a couple of quick movements, they were all dead. He sighed as Takeda forces were riding up, Kunoichi appeared infont of Mitsuhide.

"Thank you mister! Now please come with me, my master would like to thank you." She giggled and bounced.
"I have to get someone first." Mitsuhide insisted as he ran over and opened the bushes reaching down and touching him.

Ranmaru's eyes opened as he looked up and smiled, getting up and hugging the other. He was so glad that nothing happened to his best friend that he loved.

"The lord of this town wants to thank me personally. Come on." He grabbed Ranmaru's hand and started to walk.

As they entered the castle, Ranmaru looked around curious, it was beautiful. Mitsuhide looked at Ranmaru and grinned, looking back to follow Kunoichi. Kunoichi looked back, she never thought that Mitsuhide liked boys. Doors opened, soldiers were gathering around them, taking Mitsuhide's weapon. Both of them lowered to their knees, Shingen stood up from his spot on the floor and smiled.

"Welcome and thank you for protecting my town, I was too foolish to put soldiers there. Kunoichi?" He called.
"Yes my lord?" she appeared behind him.
"I want your squard to be in the town at all times." Shingen said.
"Sure boss." she said and disappeared.
"It was my pleasure Shingen Takeda, and thank you for meeting with us."
"My Lord! Are you alright?!" A young man ran in with a spear in hand.

Ranmaru looked back to see a young man, he had shorts hair, but it fell around his face, red armor and a sharp looking spear. A young woman was behind him, she was dressed in pink and had daggers.

"Yukimura, I'm alright, thanks to this young man here." He pointed to Mitsuhide.
"If you don't mind me asking, where were you during the attack?" Mitsuhide looked to Yukimura.
"I was sharpening my spear." He growled to the other.
"No need to growl like a dog." The ronin said.

Shingen was chuckling, he was enjoying putting his young cute warrior on the spot. Ranmaru was sitting there, ignoring everything, he was remembering his brothers...and father...his mother. Shingen noticed this as he put a hand up to Yukimura to make him shut up for a minute.

"What troubles you young boy?" Shingen asked Ranamru.
"The past...." Ranmaru said as he clenched his fists.

Mitsuhide looked back as he wrapped an arm around the other's shoulders and pulled him in, as Ranmaru let his hair shield his crying face.

"I see. Kunoichi, before you go... lead these two to the guests room. Looks like their journey was hard, they need rest." He said.
"Of course boss!" She appeared, laughed and bounced.

Mitsuhide stood up, picking up Ranmaru, holding him bridal style and started to walk after the female ninja. They were walking down the hall when Kunoichi looked back at them, she giggled.

"You two are so cute together!" She smiled.

Mitsuhide just blushed as he didn't really say anything else. She opened the door, and held her arm out.

"Here it is! Now if there's anything you need...you just call me or Yukimura, but I doubt he'll serve you." She said to Mitsuhide.
"why not?" The long haired male asked.
"Becuase you two were already fighting in there, major sparks. He would probably serve your friend since he didn't say anything. I hope you guys get better." She smiled and closed the door.
"I'm sorry Mitsuhide, I'm such a baby..." He wiped his eyes and looked up at him smiling weakly.

Mitsuhide smiled as he leaned with a slight blush and placed his lips across Ranmaru's lips, the young boy was a bit shocked but he melted into the kiss and kissed back. He reached up to Mitsuhide's face with one hand and held it as the kiss deepened, their tongue intertwining like two snakes. After Mitsuhide pulled back, breathing heavy, he smiled.

"It doesn't matter...Ranmaru. I think you're perfect." He smiled as he lied down.
"No I'm not, but you are." He smiled and snuggled in close to the other.

Mitsuhide reached down as he pulled the blanket up to their waist. Ranmaru falling asleep to the thoughts of Mitsuhide's lips. Mitsuhide smiled as he closed his eyes, holding Ranmaru protectively. No one would ever hurt or take away Ranmaru from him....
