Chapter Three
The Lost Woods always were beautiful. A bit dark and musty, perhaps, but always with a certain air of beauty around them. It was here Link walked, taking in the sights of the forest.
And back in the real world, he lay in a garden asleep.
He did not know what had brought him here, but he proceeded slowly, his sword and shield hanging loose at his side. What, after all, could attack him here?
He passed by the tree stump that led to the Forest Thief's hideout, and crawled through handily hollowed logs, making his way forward. He smiled to himself, having memorized the paths long before.
But in a vale on the far edge of the forest, an evil that was not wholly evil awaited him. And as Link journeyed on, he noticed the woods becoming encased in a heavy fog.
Link stopped in place, noticing the fog thickening and swirling around him. "What in the Dark World is going on here?!" screamed Link, as he ran blindly through the woods. He was a hero. But in this instance, he paniced, running frightened like a small child.
Through the mists he saw them. Lights, red and white and yellow. In his ears and mind, he heard a small, sweet voice calling him. "Link...Link, strong man...come to me. Come to us. Please Link. We need you." Link failed to notice the sinister tone in the voice...he simply obeyed. It was a siren song, pulling him forward at a pace he knew he'd never again match.
Finally the fog cleared, only to be replaced by a murky stillness, and looking around, he thought he recognized where he was.
"...Vale of the Master Sword...but..how did I get here?" he wondered. His mind was a blur.
But slowly he walked forward, and stood before the alter. And there before him, the Master Sword sat, somehow ominous in the semi-dark. And again that voice in his head called to him, sweet, and tempting. "Link...Link...my Link..come to me..now...we need you now..."
He reached his hand forward, closing his eyes tightly, feeling the breath leave his body. The Master Sword..how could he do anything but obey?

Well, there's this chapter...the next chapter continues this dream, and ups the oddity and violence count considerably. I'll have to make this thing NC-17 soon...
