Chapter 3
Disclaimer: I don't own Soul Reaver. It belongs to scary people who have nothing to do with me. I'm just a bored teenager; if you pu in in jail it'll just give me a nice, long opportunity to plot my excruciatingly painful and destructive revenge. Nice, huh?
Warnings: ALTERNATE UNIVERSE and... other stuff. Read the other parts if you want the full list of things you need to be warned about. But wouldn't you rather have it come as a surprise?
Oops, nearly forgot. This part will contain a LEMON. Yup, a lovely yaoi lemon between Kain and Raziel, which means two guys having sex. If that kinda thing doesn't float your boat, go read something else, because you will probably be horribly offended by this. There, you have been warned! Lots! No flaming me!

Bruises: Part 3
Kain sat, unnoticed, on the ruins of the wall of some long-abandoned human dwelling, watching Raziel fight. The battle the Serafan priests were currently engaged in was going on all arounm bum but he just sat, perched calmly on the wall, and watched. Raziel was dancing gracefully between the vampires, slicing and thrusting with his sword, leaving none he faced alive. The other Serafan were also out, doing their best, but Raziel put them all to shame with his grace and skill. Where the others snarled and grunted with each sword thrust like animals, dirt and sweat streaking their skin, Raziel stayed silent. He made no sound as he weaved in between the fledglings and older vampires, ending their existences quickly and efficiently. His pale skin glistened with a fine sheen of sweat and his armour was soaked with blood, most of it not his own. He was indeed a beautiful sight.
Kain smirked, ignoring everything else around him and focussing on Raziel, sparks from the fires burning around them dancing in the Serafan's eyes. The master of the vampires mused to himself that his obsession with this tortured human must be growing if he had taken to stalking him in battle, not just visiting him in his chambers. Kain laughed softly to nobody, quite surprised despite himself at Raziel's considerable skill. He would make a strong vampire, much stronger than any on the battlefield at the moment. Perhaps he might even be the strongest, excluding Kain, of course. But that would only happen if Raziel gave in to him and allowed himself to be changed. Raziel had had so much taken from him by force, Kain could not bring himself to take away his lis a s a human without his consent. Despite what many thought, Kain *did* have morals, of a sort.
* * * * * * *
Raziel managed to drag himself back to his chambers and bar the door without being caught by any of his fellow Serafan, grateful just for that small mercy. Perhaps the others were too exhausted from the fight to have their fun with him tonight, or perhaps they were waiting for him at the baths. Well, they would not have him tonight. He sighed in relief as he stripped off his blood-drenched armour and let it fall to the floor with a heavy thud, letting his clothes join it. There weren't many wounds this time, he noted with satisfaction and relief. It would not take long to clean and bandage them, and then he could rest. First things first, though. He picked up his sword and drew it out from the sheath, inspecting the blade and wiping off the last traces of vampire blood onto his clothes, which needed to be washed or replaced anyway. Then he placed the weapon back in its sheath and laid it on the bed, sitting beside it and taking a damp cloth from the bowl of clean water beside the bed and using it to wipe off the dirt from his wounds. The only one that really needed bandaging was a cut on his left arm between his t ant and his elbow. It wasn't very long but it was deep and would probably leave a scar to add to his collection.
Picking up the ever-present roll of bandages from beside the bowl of water, Raziel began to dress the wound, tying off the bandage neatly and gathering a clean sleeping robe from the chair across the room, wrapping it around him and striding wearily over to the bed.
A soft sound made him stop in his tracks and he shivered, knowing that Kain had entered the room, although the vampire said nothing. Frowning, Raziel moved to his bed and sat down, looking up to see the vampire watching him with unreadable eyes.
"You fought well today, you are most skilled." Kain said finally. Raziel laughed bitterly and looked away from him.
"You complement me for killing your own children?" The human said, tensing a little when Kain walked slowly over and stood before him.
"Yes. If they were weak enough to be destroyed by a human, they deserved their fate." Kain told him, sitting down on the bed next to the shivering Serafan, who would not look at him. "It seems you are not as thorough in treating your wounds as you are in killing my fledglings, little Serafan." Kain said with amusement in his voice, leaning over a little to lick up a drop of blood which seeped from a small cut on Raziel's throat, one he'd missed. The human's eyes slid closed and he breathed shakily, a thrill of pleasure trickling icily down his spine at Kain's touch.
"I have something to show you." Kain breathed against Raziel's skin, making the young Serafan shiver and gasp softly, slowly opening his eyes as Kain's cool lips left his throat and the vampire stood up, offering his hand to the human.
"Come with me." Kain murmured, taking Raziel's hand when the human didn't respond, drawing him to his feet.
"Where are you taking me?" Raziel asked, gasping sharply as Kain pulled him into his arms and held him.
"Close your eyes, little Serafan."
Raziel was about to try and pull away when he felt a dizzy rush of movement and he clung to the vampire, closing his eyes tightly and feeling Kain's arms tighten around him. For a moment everything was white, even with his eyes closed, then the feeling passed and he was left gasping for breath. The human opened his eyes slowly, breathing in the scent of Kain, who was still holding him protectively, one arm around his shoulders and one hand resting with a comforting weign thn the small of his back. It felt good to be held like that, his hands clutching the fabric of Kain's shirt tightly, pressed against his chest, but then Raziel realized that they were no longer in his chambers and he pushed away from the vampire, gasping at his new surroundings.
"Welcome to the pillars of Nosgoth, and my throne room." Kain said, smirking at Raziel and stalking over to take a seat on his great throne right at the centre, below the pillar of balance. Raziel looked around at the huge room with its enormous doors and lavish tapestries covering the walls, the pillars rising up in the centre with Kain's throne amongst them.
"Come to me, Raziel." Kain beckoned. Seeing no escape route from the huge room other than the doors Raziel knew he would never be to to open by himself, he complied and moved over to the pillars to stand before Kain, who sat elegantly on the throne.
"Why have you bought me here?" Raziel demanded, narrowing his eyes. Kain simply smiled and reached out to take Raziel's hand, pulling him onto the vampire's lap and holding him there. Raziel gasped and tried to struggle, pushing against Kain's strong chest but once again finding himself no match for the vampire, who waited until his struggling subsided and buried a clawed hand in his dark hair, holding him like that gently, stroking his claws through the silken strands.
"How does it feel, Raziel? To sit here on the throne of Nosgoth with me?" Kain asked in a whisper. Raziel parted his lips to answer, his head spinning at the touch of Kain's cool claws against his skin, and at having his body pressed so close to Kain's strong form.
Before Raziel could speak he was pulled forward by Kain's hand, which had moved dow the the base of his skull, and his lips were claimed in a deep kiss. He gasped and tried to pull away, but felt his will to fight what Kain was doing to him fade as the vampire deepened the kiss, his tongue slipping into Raziel's mouth when the Serafan gave in and parted his lips.
The passionate kiss, coupled with Kain's hands on his hip and the back of his neck holding him still had Raziel's body trembling for something more before long and his hands came up to rest on Kain's chest. enlyenly something touched him, a light brush of fingers down his spine, even though Kain's hands had not moved. More ghostly touches joined the first, caressing over every inch of his body, brushing his skin even though he wore his robe. Raziel knew that he and Kain were alone in the chamber, and that somehow the invisible hands on his skin were Kain's doing. They slid across his back, massaging his aching muscles, over his shoulders and chest, pinching at his nipples and drawing breathy gasps from him when he could hold back no more.
"Do you like that, little one?" Kain asked i amu amused voice, watching Raziel writhe helplessly in his lap, his head falling to rest weakly against the vampire's shoulder and his eyes closing, his cheeks flushed with pleasure. Raziel heard him but could not make out his words through the haze of pleasure surrounding him. He couldn't speak, only give a soft moan, breathing heavily as he felt the phantom touches cross his slim stomach and caress his thighs, parting them and sliding betwthemthem, drawing a cry from his lips.
"You are beautiful, my little Serafan." Kain whispered to him, watching with eyes that glowed with lust as Raziel's head arched back and his arms fell weakly to his sides, his chest heaving with each gasped breath. Kain took the opportunity to remove his own shirt and drop it to the floor beside the throne, turning back to run his claws down Raziel's arched throat, sending a shudder through the human.
Raziel was so lost in the pleasure of Kain's touches, the strong claws that had ripped so many creatures apart sliding gently over his skin along with the ghostly hands that seemed to be everywhere at once, that he barely noticed when Kain lifted him a little so that he could remove the last of his own clothing. Then he released the tie on Raziel's light robe and drew it open, letting it fall from his shoulders to pool on the floor at the foot of the throne.
"Nnhhh..." Raziel moaned, parting his thighs a little further as elt elt one of the delicate, invisible hands move to stretch him, something the other Serafan had never bothered to do for him. He no longer cared about resisting; it felt too good. He was being touched everywhere, inside and out, all at once and it was almost too much to bear. Raziel let out a shuddering breath as the ghostly fingers finished stretching him and withdrew to brush over the sensitive skin on the insides of his thighs. Kain's strong, clawed hands held his hips still and he opened his emerald eyes slowly, darkened with lust, and looked up at the vampire.
"I will not rape you, my Raziel. Have I your consent to do this?" Kain murmured softly, looking into the Serafan's passion-glazed eyes.
"Ahh... P-please..." Raziel managed to gasp, his eyes sliding closed again as Kain lifted him and drew him down slowly, gently, sliding inside his beautiful human. Raziel's breath hitched in his throat and he clutched at Kain's strong shoulders, biting back a cry of pain despite Kain's carefuletchetching.
Once they were fully joined Kain stilled, letting Raziel collapse against his chest, gasping for breath and waiting for the pain to subside. He couldn't help but notice, though, that it didn't hurt nearly as much as when he was with the other Serafan. It felt so much better with Kain, even down to the weight of the vampire's powerful hands at his waist and the phantom caresses running down his back and sides, making him shiver as the pain began to disappear.
"Kain..." Raziel moaned, shifting a little on the vampire's lap, urging him to move. "Please..."
At Raziel's soft plea, Kain lifted him again and drew him down, watching Raziel's spine arch elegantly, his head thrown back. The vampire repeated the action, feeling Raziel's hips move in time with the rhythm they set, and enjoyed the feeling of Raziel's trembling fingers clinging to his shoulders. Kain leant forward a le ane and kissed Raziel's exposed throat with cool lips, feeling the skin vibrate each time the human gasped or moaned.
The pace they set was relatively slow, but after a while Raziel began to moan breathlessly for something more. His moans rose to cries as Kain willingly obliged and increased the pace, feeling his little Serafan's fragile human body shivering in pleasure against him. The vampire enjoyed each of Raziel's delicious cries and heavy gasps, the feeling of Raziel's soft skin against his own and the rhythm of the human's hips rocking into him.
Kain could feel the passion rising, building to a head, and he took Raziel in his hand, stroking him firmly. Raziel gave a choked cry and wrapped his arms around Kain's neck, burying his head in Kain's strong shoulder to muffle his almost sobbed gasps of ecstasy. His head falling back against the throne, Kain groaned out his pleasure, his grip tightening on Raziel's hip for a moment as he drew the Serafan over the edge with him. White bursts of lightening shot through Raziel and he screamed into Kain's shoulder, shuddering violently and clinging to the vampire when the feeling became so intense it almost hurt. Everything spun wildly around him and he gasped for breath, still trembling long after the rush of pleasure peaked and slowly began to wind down. Kain was panting a little beneath him, stroking Raziel's sweat-damp hair tenderly and feeling the Serafan's arms fall weakly down from the vampire's shoulders. The ruler of Nosgoth gently lifted the exhausted human off of him, taking Raziel in his arms and holding him like a child against his chest, watching as the Serafan relaxed against him and passed out, his breathing evening out into the steady rhythm of sleep. Kain couldn't help but smile slightly at the sight of the beautiful creature asleep in his arms. Perhaps Raziel would understand now what the vampire really wanted from him. Perhaps he would see now that things were no longer black and white.
* * * * * * *
When Raziel awoke he sat up with a gasp and looked around him, finding himself once again in his own bed at the Serafan sanctuary. The echoes of Kain's ghostly touches still fluttered over his skin and he shivered, drawing back the sheets to look down at himself as he began to feel the familiar dull ache of a bruise on his hip. Sure enough, a light purple bruise spread across his skin in the shape of Kain's clawed hand, tracing where the vampire had held him.
Usually Raziel hated his bruises, they reminded him of things he'd rather forget and he tried to ignore them as best he could, waiting for them to fade. This time, though, he had been marked by Kain. The Serafan gently placed his small hand over the imprint, sighing softly as he remembered how good it had felt to be touched by Kain, held in his arms and protected.
As Raziel lay back down against the soft pillow and drew the sheets back up, he wondered, for a moment, if joining Kain would be such a bad thing.

There, I got the lemon done! And if it sucked... sorry. I really can't bear those lemons people write that seem to be going so well, then they have to go and put the classic 'I love you's in at the end and spoil it. The next part will be the last bit, with some actual plot in it for once.
