Chapter 2: Companion

From far off, one could only see two shadowed figures in the dusk. Up close, the pairing would be considered strange, a woman about 20, and a young half-elf kid. However, this pair knew each other. Seena and Genis were walking the familar dirt path to Iselia. Sheena had just gotten over a bad mood mere hours ago, but Genis was still smiling about what happened.

Sheena was busy training abroad. Being the new chief of Mizuho meant being ready in mind, body, and spirit. She was causally standing around, when she recieved word that Zelos wanted to speak with her about some important matter or another. Normally, she would have just ignored such a greeting, but deciding to give Zelos the benefit of the doubt for once, she agreed. But she wasn't going alone.

Being near Iselia, she asked if anyone would accompany her. Lloyd had gotten in trouble at school, and Raine had to keep him after class, so that was out. And Colette was nowhere to be found, though she was told Regal had stopped by. So, she decided to take Genis, at which, the Professor allowed, provided that he be back as soon as possible, tomarrow evening the latest.

The journey to Zelo's house in Meltokio was boring but once they got there, things picked up.

"Well hello there my beautiful honey. You came after all. And, hi to you too, brat."

Genis was furious. "I'm not a kid!" Zelos however shruged it off.

"Zelos, you better have a good reason for dragging me all the way over here."

Zelos smiled, and quickly grabbed Sheena's hand, much to her protest, and leading her upstairs, muttering something about 'leaving kids out of adult's way' loud enough for Genis to hear. Genis got mad and sat down on the couch that was there. His mood, however, brightened when he heard what was happening upstairs.

"YOU.... STUPID.... CHOSEN!!!"

Thinking back at that, Genis smiled again. Some people never change... They were about a half-day away from Iselia when Genis decided that they should camp for the night.

"I don't know Genis... I promised Raine..."

"It's ok. Raine doesn't expect me until tomarrow, and besides, it will be nice to camp out together again, like we did on our journey."

Sheena did admit, it would be fun. Plus, she could try some of Genis' cooking, which she loved alot. The only other comparable was Regal's, and when she agreed, they set everything up and Genis began to cook. Sheena watched Genis cook for awhile, and smiled. He really was starting to become a man now, even though he only seemed like a child. Sheena walked off to find a river to clean herself up in, until Genis called, and dinner was served.

The two ate in near silence, both of them not speaking much except about what had been happening currently. Sheena was to be offically named Chief of Mizuho in a few days, so she was out here preparing herself for the tasks as chief. Genis told her he was still continuing his studies and how Lloyd and Colette were. Soon they cleaned up the meal, and went to bed.

Genis lay in his sleepingbag awake. He didn't feel too sleepy anyway. He turned to his side, looking out into the open countryside. He gazed at it for awhile, until he felt someone enter the sleeping bag with him. Genis practically froze when he felt Sheena's warm body press close to his.

"I just thought you might be cold..." She said innocently enough.

"Thanks... but it's kinda uncomfortable for me..."

Genis gasped out in surprise. "Sheena!!" He tried to get away, but the squirming he did only built the pressure he was begining to feel between his legs. "Please Sheena... stop..."
