The Rescue
Alucard’s POV
His heart raced in his chest as he searched for her. Slashing away all enemies in his path. Becoming covered in their disgusting blood. They had managed to find Kimosya’s hiding spot and defeated him with ease. When they noticed that Iria was not with them, they tried her communicator, but they couldn’t reach her. He had told the three young hunters to stay where they were at and wait to see if she would found them.
But Alucard already knew that Iria was in trouble, but he didn’t want to let her three closest friends rush to her aid. They would only make matters worse for her and themselves. Besides, he didn’t want any other man touching Iria.
Despite their obvious age difference, Alucard had fallen in love with the young celestial. However, he wouldn’t admit it openly to anyone, even her. He didn’t deserve her. He was shadow and she was light. He would only hurt her if she knew his true feelings. He had watched and loved her as one would love a little sister when she was a child, but when she came back as a woman, his love for her changed. Even though her eyes still held that mischievousness of a child, he could clearly see the woman behind them.
His heart stopped when her smelt her blood. That and the mixture of poison that was included with it. He didn’t like it. It made him want to retch. He looked down and noticed a metal trap door just underneath his feet. The smell of her was all over it. His heart cramped painfully in his chest. He prayed that he wasn’t too late.
With all his might, he gripped the door and tore it off its hinges. The disgusting smell of poison rushed up his nose and he nearly gagged. Using his vampiric powers, Alucard chased it out from the room bellow. He leapt down and landed perfectly on his legs. He felt something clench his stomach when he spotted Iria lying on the ground unconscious. He dropped to his knees beside her and lifted her body into his arms.
He gave a sigh of relief when he noticed she was still breathing. Pressing his lips to hers, he purified all the poison that had entered her body. Laying her back on the ground, he slipped off his coat and wrapped her securely in it to warm her body up. His lips burned from the touch of hers and cried for something more. Alucard growled and opened his communicator. “Nathan, it’s me. You and the others head back to the doctor’s house and I’ll meet you there. Yes, I found Iria. She’s fine. We’re heading to Giema to get the jewel shard and we’ll head back there. Oh and Nathan, you’re in charge.” Before the young vampeal could complain, he turns the communicator off.
He looked over at his precious little love and cradled her in his arms. He had only told Nathan half the truth. He knew his nephew had feelings for her too, but he didn’t want him to rush and hurt himself and her. He remembered his beloved Sonya. He had been young back then and had bitten her one night after they had made love. She hadn’t turned, but the baby inside her had. He didn’t want the same thing to fall upon Nathan or Iria.
“That’s not the only reason you don’t leave him alone with her. You just can’t stand have another man think and look at her as you do,” a voice inside his head said. It was part of the truth. Even though he knew he could never have her, he knew it was selfish of him to hold her back from other men, but he didn’t want her hurt. Alucard got to his feet with her in his arms and headed towards Giema. Myer had a safe house there, so Iria could get better. Once she was well enough, they would get the jewel shard from the old man.
