The Rescue

Link rose with the dawn, he reached out his arm gently and stopped when it brushed Navi’s back. He rolled off the sofa and stood. He pulled on his jacket and walked into the kitchen. He heard Navi stir as he finished cooking his breakfast. Navi sat up in bed, her hair tussled from sleep. She hopped to her feet and pushed him out of the way, forcing him into a chair.
“Navi’s job to make breakfast, not Master’s. You sit and wait.” She said her voice holding a tone of irritation. Either from him making his own breakfast or her sleeping in, Link really couldn’t tell. When she had finished, she placed the plate of eggs in front of him. He ate hurriedly, for some odd reason he felt more than just hungry. After he finished he took his symbiotic supplement. Again, an odd feeling took him, and he took the next day’s dose as well. He shrugged it off, attributing it to a good nights sleep.
“Today’s the day Navi, today’s the day.” He said pushing the now bare plate away. Navi nodded and picked up the plate. “Are you ready to go Navi?” He asked.
“Yes master, I am ready at any time.” Navi said.
“Good, then let’s go.” Link replied. They were on their way in a few minutes and back into Hyrule Market right when the sun peaked over the buildings. The street was still full of people, but they left a wide path for his bike. They rode on, into the center of the City, where the Central Office of Hyrule National was. Link stopped the bike in the Parking garage and hopped of, pocketed his keys and began walking for the Lift. He was stopped by two guards who stood by the Lift.
“State your business.” The biggest one said.
“I’m here to see Chairman Gannon, about some Fairies I wish to supply.” Link replied smoothly.
“Oh, is that so? I didn’t receive any notice about that.” The guard said.
“They’re for him; I think he would want that under the prying eyes of others wouldn’t you?” Link growled, slightly ticked.
“Oh, its that way is it. I’m dreadfully sorry to intrude on Chairman Gannon’s personal business. Please go directly to his office, its on floor 67, and please don’t tell him I know.” The guard said in a low voice.
“Not a problee ale all have our jobs and you’ve done yours well.” Link said as he boarded the lift and pushed the button for the 67th floor, Navi followed her face on the floor. When the lift stopped Link slid out and pulled off the glove on his left hand, looking down at the Triforce symbol. His symbol was glowing brightly, and Zelda’s was blinking in and outkly, kly, Gannon’s was pulsing strongly, so he moved until Zelda’s began to pulse brighter. He followed this divining method until he found a large metal door. He examined it and found that it wasn’t locked. He pulled open the door and it creaked, loudly.
“If you’re here to punish me again do it quick. I’m getting sick of tasting your cock.” Zelda groaned in a half given up moan. She turned quickly and gasped. “You! I remember you! Your that guy form the Rave!” She smiled and ran up to him. “What are you doing here? Did Gannon hire you as a new goon? Tell me!” She was practically screaming into his face, and had a death grip on his jacket. Link put two fingers to her lips.
“SSSH! Be Quiet! I’ll let you know in good time. I’m here to get you out of here.” He grabbed her arm and began to lead her out the door when she dug in her feet.
“Wait, wait. You’re here to rescue me?” She asked her eyes full of confusion.
“Yes! It’s not safe for you here! Gannon is probably plotting on how to kill you to his best advantage now!” Link said quickly.
“Oh, I see… Well then, what are we standing around here for lets go!” She said as she pulled Link out the door. They ran down the hall, Navi trailing behind. They met no resistance till they reached the lift, that’s when Link saw Gannon. They burst out into the Lift hall and there he was, standing in front of the lifts.
“Link, we finally meet, it’s a pleasure to see you.” Gannon said brushing his long blond hair out of his face with his left hand. “As you can see I decided to change my looks, the other just didn’t suit me this time around.” Link blinked as he looked at who had to be Gannon, but looked like a mirror image of himself. “I see you notice the similarity in body shape and type. Yes Link, I stole your body, but why should you care, at least this time you won’t have to resort to cheap tricks, it will be a skill on skill match between us.” Gannon began to laugh. Link pushed Zelda towards Navi and stepped forward drawing the Master sword from his jacket.
“Navi, take Zelda home, go the quick way, I’ll meet you there!” Navi nodded and grabbed Zelda, both turning into a small ball of light; one blue with wings, the other white and wingless; both vanished in blinblink of an eye.
“I see you know how to clear the field.” Gannon said still in the throes of laughter.
“Let’s do this Gannon.” Link said sliding his feet into their proper places.
“Yes, let’s.” Gannon said with glee. They charged one another, Gannon pulling his sword in middle charge; it was almost an exact replica of Links Master Sword, only the blade and hilt were a dark black. The blades struck, sending sparks everywhere. They spun and slashed, dancing in a dance of death. Blood flowed from both combatants. Link began to feel different, like the blows weren’t affecting him in the same way. He started to feel his blood begin to slow in its flowing. He also felt energy begin to build inside of him. He let the energy go, and almost swore as his entire right arm began to glow a bright blue. The blue glow crept its way up the Master Sword, he spun again, and when the swords met there was a loud shattering sound as Gannon’s blade snapped in half, and the blade kept going, digging itself into Gannon’s left shoulder. Gannon growled and swore as his entire left arm flopped to the floor, sending his dark red blood splattering all over the wall. Gannon swore and ran, disappearing down the hall, leaving his still flopping left arm behind. Link swore and hopped into the lift, pounded the lift down button and began to swear more when the alarm went off in the lift. He then crouched and waited for the lift doors to open. They opened on the garage floor, and the two security guards walked in, to see why the alarm had been sounded. The big one lost his innards to the Master Sword, the other lost his legs. Link left them both in the lift as he ran to his bike; he hopped on, pulled out his keys and had her going before the lift doors had shut. He broke through the garage barricades and rode the bike for all it was worth down the road, reaching top speed by the time he hit the market. He was in the slums in less than ten minutes, and pulling up and in his garage in another two. He burst through the door into his house.
“Where’s Zelda?” He asked Navi who was sitting on the sofa.
“In the Kitchen.” Navi said pointing over her shoulder to the open fridge with Zelda’s legs poking out the bottom of the door. Link walked in and turned around almost immediately. It seemed that between getting to his house and opening the fridge she had lost her clothes. Hw thw them finally; they were on the back of the big sofa.
“No need to be modest.” He heard her say from inside the fridge. “You’ve seen this much before.” He could here her banging around in the fridge, what was she looking for?
“What do you mean I’ve seen that much and more before?” Link asked confused.
“At the Rave you moron. Don’t tell me I was a sucky screw and you forgot.” He could here the anger in her voice.
“I was in the hospital for an OD after the Rave if we’re talking about the same one. That might have been the reason.” Link replied.
“Hmmm, I think I’ll accept that paltry excuse, you’ll just have to make it up to me later.” She sounded slightly less pissed, but only ju “Go “Go sit on the couch, and wait for me to come out. And send the fairy away.” Link nodded and back into the living room.
“Navi, go out and work your sources, see if Zelda has been reported missing yet.” Navi nodded and left via fairy transportation. Link just laid his head against the back of the couch, letting his mind wander.
