"Are you sure you haven't seen her?" Jago asked. "She was with a half-naked blonde woman andittlittle strawberry-blonde girl." The officer shook his head. Jago sighed, exiting the station. Where could Orchid have gone?
"No luck?" Tusk asked.
"For the eighth time, no." Jago said. "If there had been any luck, I wouldn't be walking slowly, would I? No, I'd have a spring in my step because I found my little sister, wouldn't I?"
"No need to be all snappy, brother dear." said a creepy version of Orchid's voice. "I'm right here."
"What the..." Jago gasped as Orchid, Maya and Kim Wu appeared at the foot of the steps, along with a strange woman whom neither of the men on the porch could identify.
"Come on, Jago, give your sister a hug." Orchid said, folding herself into his arms. "I'm cold."
"Jeez, your hands are like ice!" Jago exclaimed.
"Cold...and hungry." Orchid said.
"I'll get you something to eat at McOW!!" Orchid had her fangs in him now, and was swallowing as fast as the hot, gooey liquid would flow into her mouth.
"Mmmmmm..." Orchid moaned. Tusk was pounced upon by the two remaining girls.
"He's so big." Kim husked. "We can share him!"
"You go first, hon." Maya said, pinning Tusk's arms. Kim eagerly sank her gleaming fangs into the big man's neck. She was barely halfway finished when Maya noticed Jago flopping to the ground. Mistress Jandra ascended the steps without touching them, finally landing on the landing. She picked up the limp body of Jago and finished draining him, while Orchid watched. The crackling sound that followed as Jandra finished him off was noted by the three apprentices.
"You have to make sure to kill them, especially if you don't intend to train them as vampires. Sometimes they become vengeful and come back to kill you." Jandra admonished.
"Sorry, Mistress, I'll do better next time." Orchid said. Jandra bent down and licked the blood off Orchid's face.
"I know you will, dear." Jandra assured her. That assurance made Orchid feel like a million bucks, and she beamed happily at her Mistress.
"What the..." a cop exclaimed, drawing his gun at the scene which had greeted him as he had left the station. Orchid growled, fangs bared, eyes glowing, and grabbed the officer's gun. She crushed it in her hand and glared into the officer's eyes.
"There's nothing happening on the porch." she declared.
"Nothing...happening." the mind-boggled officer repeated flatly.
"Now, I think Mistress Jandra has something to say to you..." Orchid finished, moving out of the way so Jandra could finish the mindfuck, or drink his blood, or whatever. Jandra's hypnotic power took over from Orchid's, and she whispered softly into the man's ear. He went back into the station.
"Now he'll invent something for the other officers to do while we clean up here." Jandra said. Maya was just finishing with Tusk. The blonde woman broke the big man's neck, and then she and Kim proceeded to lick each other clean. "Alright, students, next lesson: body disposal."
"Yes, Mistress." the three apprentices said in unison. They picked up the bodies of Jago and Tusk and followed their Mistress to the tuna cannery, and tossed them in the processing machine.
"Exempliry first night,petspets." Jandra said. "Now, let's go back to the lair before the sun rises."
"Yes, Mistress." the apprentices replied, and they flew over the rooftops, reveling in their near-perfect freedom. They walked into the lair, and Jandra stopped short, gasping.
"Celeste?" Jandra asked.
"Mistress Celeste, or have you forgotten who made you what you are?" the redhead woman who sat on Jandra's coffin said.
"I beg pardon, Mistress, I thought the hunters had killed you!"
"My dear Jandra, I have lived in this world for six hundred years, I know a thing or four about vampire hunters." Celeste replied. "I see you have some new apprentices. Think you can teach them to be vampiresses when your own training is not complete? Come kneel before your Mistress, girls, and let the training truly begin."
