Chapter Two

Link stopped, resting his head against his door. What WAS wrong whim him lately, anyways?
The dreams were becoming far more frequent.
His mood was getting ever worse, and his thoughts were plagued by an air of uncertainty and fear.

After he had defeated Ganon, he was hailed as a hero, beloved by all. Festivals, parades, the love of every Hylian citizen...and he had taken it in. Oh, yes, he had taken it in. And he'd tried to grow up as a normal boy. But it was not to be, of course.

The King of Hyrule was a wise man, if a little paranoid, after his failing to protect his kingdom. And he had sent for Link, brought him to his castle, to keep his warrior skills sharp, to gain his trust, should evil rise again. And in this time he got to get closer to the princess, to Zelda.

He had never noticed how he felt when they were young..his focus had been on his quest. But she was indeed beautiful. But her beauty lied more on her inner purity, her innocence, the absolute goodness in her heart, to speak nothing of the seductive lure of her curvacious body, her perfectly formed lips. She was brave and wise, sure to be a great ruler. And what was he? A simple warrior, albeit one with a rather charmed life. He wanted her more than all the women he had met in his short life, mind and body, but he feared in his heart it could never be so. And Link, the Hero of Hyrule, hoped to the Three Goddesses he could control his urges.

He shook his head. No, they were only friends, and she a princess. What use of thinking this way?
Link stepped out of his room and into the well lit and elegantly furnished stone halls in Hyrule Castle. He had never gotten used to it, really. The thought of dozens of slaughtered soldiers cut down by his hand did something to make him a bit uncomfortable. He tempered this with the thought that he did it to save Zelda. Zelda of the beautiful mind and perfectly sculpted body.

"What the hell is the matter with me?" thought Link as he approached the small garden where he was to meet Zelda.
And in seeing her, he suddenly had a very good idea as to what it was.

There was Zelda, princess of Hyrule. She lay on the ground with her eyes closed, the sun beating down upon her. She wore a silk dress of deep white, the emblem of the Triforce embroidered just below the swell of her perfectly formed breasts, lines of deep blue tracing thier way down her sides and delectable legs. Link shook his head as he thought of those legs, and all the things that lay between them. Maybe some of his problems weren't so hard to fathom...

He slowly walked over to where she sat, sitting down next to her and smiling ly dly down on her. Lifting a hand he lightly brushed a strand of her long, golden hair away from her sweet face.
"Good morning, Zelda," said Link "did I disturb you?"
Zelda opened her eyes and smiled sweetly, looking up at the handsome blonde haired face of the young hero.
"Of course not, silly," she said "we were supposed to meet here, remember?"
"Well, of course..I could never forget about you."

They lay like that in the garden for a while, and Link rested with his eyes closed, feeling the warm sunlight playing on his skin, and feeling the gentle heat coming from the young woman at his side."Sent by the Goddesses...she must be..." were all he thought as he drifted off to sleep.

Zelda smiled softly, seeing Link in slumber. She turned onto her side. He was so handsome! His body was like a statue, only etched of muscle and bone and fine golden hair, instead of stone or wood. His smile was always so sweet...but in this, she saw something strange. Something troubled Link..and she could not shake the feeling that this something was anything but a peril to him, and to all people who knew him. But, she forced this out of her mind and lay back with Link, slowly drifting to sleep beside him.
After all, why trouble over dark thoughts, when her and Link could share a sweet dream?

Alright, maybe not too good, and maybe some bad pacing, but give me a review or two and tell me so.Next chapter gets a little wierd.Trust me.^_^
