Chapter Eight
Sitting in the inn in Sepulcher, Jukfel told Zaba about the battle in the Alterac Mountains over their tenth round of Volatile Rum that Jukfel had stolen from some Bloodsail Buccaneer that was down on his luck. Zaba knew that he was getting pretty drunk, but was trying to keep a handle on the situation, biding his time until Jukfel passed out.
His mind wandered a little thinking about Lina and how long he'd been away from the camp. He knew that she would be pretty worried by now. Hopefully she wouldn't be too angry with him for coming home drunk. He was content with the knowledge that she was safe with Tibol there to watch over her.
“Hey! Are you lishtening to me, Zaba! ...Hic!” Jukfel slapped the troll on the back of the head.
“W-Wa? Oh yeah, shorry bout that. Rumsh gone to my head.” Zaba sheepishly laughs. “It'sh been a while shince I've had really good rum... Hic!”
“HA! I alwaysh new you wash a pantywaist! I'll drink you under the table.” Jukfel laughed uproariously, making the other patrons of the inn stare at the two.
Then just when Zaba wasn't sure that he could drink another drop, Jukfel's head dropped to the table. Zaba, to be sure that he had passed out, gave him a poke. Then to be truly satisfied he picked up his wrist and let it drop to the table.
“Looksh like you're the one under the table, Juk 'ol buddy. ...Hic!” Zaba laughed softly and left the table, going to speak to the inn keeper before leaving. “The orc over there at the table ish passhed out. Heresh a few shilver for you to put him up for the night.”
He didn't see Jukfel raise his head, nor the gloating smile that spread across his ugly orc face. Thinking to himself, “ Too bad you've been the only one actually drinking tonight Zaba 'ol buddy. Soon I'll be fucking your human toy and she'll know what a real man is. This will teach you to cross me!”
Zaba headed out to the camp hoping that Lina wouldn't be too angry with him for coming home to her drunk. Then thought out loud, “She'll just have to get ushed to it, It may happen again shome day.” He chuckled at the thoughts of making up with her if she really was mad. Fighting was fun, but making up was always better.
Stumbling into the camp, Zaba was sobered up quickly by what he saw. The camp was in a shambles. The tent was still smoldering and their belongings were strewn all over the camp site. Moving forward to investigate what had happened, Zaba found Tibol laying on his side with scorch marks on his fur, and Lina was no where in sight. Focusing on Tibol for a moment, he used his link to the wolf to mend him.
Once Tibol was healed, Zaba started scouring the camp site for any evidence of who had been here and try to discern which way they went with Lina. In his search he found boot tracks that were not his or Lina's and came to the conclusion that they belonged to someone who was small in stature. The boot prints had long tracks next to them like something was dragged for a moment then the boot prints sunk into the dirt further like the person who was here had picked something heavy up. The tracks moved off for a few feet then were gone.
“Fuck!” Zaba swore. “Whoever had Lina used a portal to leave. They could be anywhere now.” Then Zaba noticed Tibol sniffing by the bushes that Lina had seen the shadowy figure three days before. Going to investigate, Zaba saw that the tracks lead in from outside of the clearing. Which meant that who ever took Lina came in from Sepulcher. Following the tracks back to where they came from, Zaba found that they lead to Jukfel's camp.
There were a few members from the raid milling about preparing to break camp. Zaba could hear Jukfel barking orders from the back of the camp site. “Come on you lazy bums! We need to get to The Undercity quickly, before Maryanne takes it into her head that she's going to keep my new toy. There's no telling what that crazy bitch will do to the girl before we get there!”
“Fuck!” Zaba swore again. He knew that if Maryanne had Lina, that Lina was in for a world of hurt. He didn't even bother going back to their camp site, he just headed out to The Undercity right away, with Tibol running to catch up with him.
*****
“Finally, you're awake.” Lina heard a scratchy voice speaking to her as her eyes fluttered open. She turned her blurry gaze towards the voice and the visage of an undead woman became horribly clear to her. Fear and anger warred in her heart.
Lina tried to sit up but soon found that she was tied to the table that she was lying on, with her arms and legs spread open wide. With no way to cover her exposed body and trying to keep the fear from her voice, she ordered the forsaken standing over her, “Untie me this instant, you vile thing!” She struggled against the ropes that were bound to her wrists and ankles, and the undead woman laughed at her heartily.
Running a decomposed finger tip along Lina's cheek, Maryanne clucked at the struggling girl. She laughed inwardly at the girl's apparent revulsion to her cold touch. “ Now, now my dear. This will be much less painful for you if you would just stop squirming. The ropes will not come undone, and you are going nowhere.” She started to loosen the ties on Lina's shirt and exposed her firm breasts to the cool air of Maryanne's quarters. “So you may as well accept the inevitable. Jukfel will have you and I will have my fun with you before that happens. “ To punctuate her point she wrapped one cold hand over one of Lina's breasts and gave it a vicious squeeze, causing the young woman to cry out at the pain.
“If you knew what was good for you, you would let me go. Once my man finds that I am missing, he will come to find you. He will see to it that you suffer, you rotting bitch!” Lina screamed at Maryanne.
To this Maryanne gave Lina's breast another bruising squeeze. “ Oh I don't think Zaba will have much to say about this. Jukfel always gets what he wants and Zaba will pay for stealing what was not his.”
Lina cried out in pain again and felt physically sick at the undead woman's touch. She tried to shrink away from the hand that touched her breast but the ties held in her place. When Lina heard the undead woman mention Zaba's name, her eyes flew open in surprise. “How do you know Zaba?” Lina's eyes narrowed and she hissed in pain as Maryanne flicked a hard nail over the nipple on her already abused breast.
“You don't know do you, human?” Maryanne gave the girl an evil smile. Leaning in close Lina's face, Maryanne whispered in her ear, “He was there... The day we ransacked your home and slaughtered your townsfolk, like the vermin that you all are, he was there helping us....” She trailed off and the licked the side of Lina's face, chuckling at the girl as she saw the doubt and revulsion warred for supremacy on her face.
“You lie!” Lina screamed at the vile creature standing over her. “ He couldn't have been there! He couldn't!”
“Oh yes he was..” Maryanne said as she trailed a bony hand along the withering girls belly, stopping just short of the small triangle of hair at the apex of her thighs. “He was one of the raiders there killing and burning everything to the ground!” With that said she let her hand slip into the folds of Lina's vagina and roughly pushed two of her cold, rotting fingers in. A great smile spread across her face and she shuddered in pleasure at Lina's tears and screams.
The pain she felt from the fingers being mercilessly, moved in and out of her body was nothing compared to the pain Lina felt in her heart. The thought that Zaba could so betray her, made it hard to breathe. Her vision blurred and faded to black as she gratefully fainted.
