Tainted Eyes: part XVIII: Losses
Riku tried to step forward after watching the attack, but when he broke away from Sora he only managed to stumble forward. His head was spinning, and it took so much effort to keep his eyes open. He slowly focused on Kairi, who stood not far from Cloud, who was choking on his own blood now. Aeris ran to Sephiroth, who knelt beside Cloud, and they both set to work trying to heel him. But Riku could see in their faces that they weren't getting far. Cloud grabbed them both by the arm, more of his blood pouring out of him as he did so.
"Stop...!" he hissed at them both. "You'll die. Three... Three of us... dead doesn't make any... sense does it?!"
But the two tried to heal again after Sephiroth pushed him to lie down once more. They seemed to forget that Livion existed as they tried and tried again. They didn't notice the crystal door opening slowly, and they hardly noticed that Livion, who had possessed Kairi's body, was no where in sight. Zack didn't notice either, because he was soon kneeling with them. Aeris nearly passed out next to him, and Squall pulled her away.
"You don't have a drop of energy left to heal him," Squall whispered. "Let Zack try."
"This might be a slow process, Cloud," Zack whispered to him. "I've never actually healed anyone," he said, speaking softly as he tried to heal his dying friend. "It was always Livion healing through my body. It was always his energy, not mine...."
Zack contd tad talking to keep Cloud alert. Suddenly Sephiroth clutched his heart and gasped sharply. He nearly fell forward onto Cloud, but Vincent caught him and pulled him to sit back and rest.
"I know what happened," Vincent whispered in Sephiroth's ear. "Cloud told me about you casting five spells at once. You haven't recovered yet. Cloud would never be at peace if you died here."
Sephiroth tried to sit up again, but Vincent easily held him in place. He sat behind the young swordsman and kept his arms around him, letting Sephiroth rest against him as he breathed heavily.
Riku stood by watching them all. Sora stood beside him, the darkness eating away at his heart. Kairi was possessed by Livion. Sephiroth and Aeris had drained their energy trying to save them all, and if they tried any harder they would die. Vincent was always there with his wisdom and support, but Riku could see that he was drained also, and could no longer transform. Squall was always alert, watching over them all and protecting them, staying awake night after nigo keo keep watch... and the fatigue overtaking him was torturing him. Zack had gone through more torture than any of them. While the rest of them saw months at the castle, Zack had been tortured for years. And Cloud.... Cloud was dying.
And then... there were footsteps....
Shadows appeared between the trees that surrounded the black rose garden. Livion's men surrounded them. They already knew that Zack was no longer Livion's shell. A girlish laugh erupted and echoed ugh ugh the trees. Kairi's voice was now laced with Livion's darkness.
"Leave him, Zack," Livion called out from the shadows. "He was the one left with the most energy, so I struck him down so that you all could see him in death. Everyone will die but my keyblade master, and the one who I choose to be my new body."
Sora held Riku close. "Livion will never take you away from me!"
Suddenly fire erupted around them, burning them all to the bone. But it wasn't actually causing physical harm. It was only there for physical pain. The fire sank into them and flowed through them. It dove so deep into them that they screamed in agony. Riku opened his eyes, hoping to see that Cloud and the others were spared from the pain that he and Sora were going through... but none of them were spared. Zack's concentration was broken from trying to heal Cloud, and he threw himself over his dying friend, hoping to spare him at least a little pain. The fire suddenly disappeared, and they were all flat on the ground, still feeling the pain of the flames.
Sora groaned and sat up, making up his mind to destroy Livion... and Kairi with him. He looked to Riku, who was still cringing in pain. But Riku's eyes were focused on the others now. The blast had a center.… It had a point where the impact was greatest. The blast had a point where it burned the hottest… and it's center was Sephiroth. Livion's dark, but now girlish laugh echoed through the trees. Aeris whimpered softly as she tried to call Sephiroth's name, but she could only manage an inaudible whisper. She realized that Cloud's glowing blue eyes were focused on the motionless young swordsman.
Vincent sat up, still feeling the pain from the fire. Sephiroth had landed on top of him, and he sat up slowly, lying the young swordsman on the ground. Long silver hair blew softly in the wind, trailing against the dirt along with the floating rose petals in the garden. Squall managed to pull his aching body over to feel Sephiroth's pulse. He could feel Cloud's eyes on him, begging him to say that Sephiroth was okay. Cloud's hand slowly raised to rest on Squall's shoulder. Zack finally sat up, wincing at the pain, and he held Cloud's other hand tightly, waiting for Squall's response.
"He would have been trouble if Cloud died," Livion called out from the shadows. "It's good that he's gone. Without him, you will never see the outside of my castle again."
"Tell... me..." Cloud whispered softly, blood slowly flowing from his mouth as he looked to Squall.
Riku tried to move closer to see everything, but Sora held him in place. He could only watch from a distance. He turned to see the Masamune dimming, as if the will within the sword had no desire to be held ever again.
"Cloud," Squall began, "He's--"
"Enough of this!" Livion yelled. A massive fireball cut through the air and hit Sephiroth's body, and the force of the blast sent the group flying.
Cloud rolled along the ground, refusing to be killed so easily. When he opened his eyes, he found himself next to the crystal door. Sephiroth had been knocked to the door as well, and his head was at the edge. His long silver was already passing into the darkness, and it seemed to disappear within the black nothingness. Cloud pulled himself over and tried to pull his friend away.
“You have to be alive,” Cloud whispered. “You can’t die here. You haven’t even lived as you should yet….”
A shadow fell over him, and he felt another piercing pain as Livion's blade stabbed through his back once more. This time, it passed through his heart, and broke through his chest. Cloud gasped his last, his eyes focused on Sephiroth's face.
Still... Cloud thought. Still untouched by evil.... Tears rolled down Cloud's face and fell onto Sephiroth's. I'll follow you again.... I always do....
Livion twisted the blade, and Cloud's limp body fell on top of Sephiroth. Deep laughter echoed through the air as Livion's power erupted from his body once more, hitting them and sending them both into the darkness together. They fell through the endless darkness... never leaving each other... even in death....
Vincent was unconscious when Livion grabbed him by the throat and lifted him from the ground. He threw him against the door frame and lifted him by the throat once more.
"You were the start of this, weren't you?" Livion asked softly, even though Vincent couldn't hear his words. "My fellow demon... you started this. You helped the keyblade master to escape his chambers, only to join you all. Pathetic, my dear Vincent Valentine." He tightened his grip on Vinc's t's throat. "You would have made a splendid shell for me. You are beautiful and strong, dear Vincent. But it would make me happier to see you disappear into oblivion forever. I would rather not see your face ever again."
Suddenly Livion felt someone rush against him, knocking him away from the door. He wasn't used to Kairi's small frame, so he didn't think to brace himself more. Vincent was released in the process, and he fell to the ground. Squall jumped to his feet after knocking Livion aside, and he swung his gunblade at him, firing through the swing and hitting Livion several times with the bullets. Livion roared in pain as the bullets pierced him, but he jumped to his feet. Squall charged again, and even as Livion hit him with a lightning spell, he continued forward des the the pain, attacking with the gunblade once more. When the bullets were spent, he continued in rage, using the blade even though it couldn't fire. He didn't trust what he saw when Livion was on the groundeedieeding and lying motionless.
A small whimper dacteacted Squall for a brief moment. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Aeris tangled dangerously in the razor sharp vines of the black roses. She would bleed to death if he left her there, and so he quickly ran over to her and cut the vines away. He helped her stand, and she sobbed as she backed away. Squall glanced to Livion's body again and again.
"Check on the others," Squall said, as he approached Kairi's... or Livion's body once more. His blue-gray eyes opened wide when he saw the bullets that had pierced Livionted ted on top of him, as though they had been forced out of the wounds. The dark blood ceased to flow. Without a second's hesitation Squall moved to pierce Livion's heart with the blabut but his speed was no match for the dark tormentor, who moved out of Squall's way before he could even blink. Squall's blade cut into the ground, and when he looked up, he saw Livion's sword coming shortly before it pierced his throat.
"Let's see you play leader if you can't speak," Livion smirked darkly. He pulled his sword away slowly, and smiled at the bright red blood that rushed from Squall's throat. Livion grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him to the door as he choked on his own blood. A disgusting gurgling sound rushed out of him when he tried to take a breath. He wasn't dead when Livion grabbed the front of his shirt anftedfted him to stand.
"Die slowly, Squall," Livion said with a cruel smile. "Hopefully you'll be dead before the dark ones eat away at your heart."
Squall was thrown through the door, and he saw it all happening to him as his blood drained away.
"Where was I?" Livion smirked, as his gfellfell to Vincent. "Still asleep are we?"
He knelt next to the raven-haired man and picked up his limp hand. He slowly slid one of Vincent's fingers under his dress, which Kairi was wearing when he possessed her. He slid Vincent's finger into the moist entrance, smirking down at Vincent's unconscious face.
"I must say," Livion said softly. "I think we men have the better deal when it comes to our pleasure." He held Vincent's hand, sliding his finger in and out again and again. "I like being the one who enters more than I like being entered. I like being the one who can cause pain when I force myself inside of someone who is tightight and scared and dry to handle me." He released Vincent's hand and let it slid away from him. "I'm sorry that I was always too focused on other things to fuck you senseless. I would have loved to see you scream."
Vincent never woke up. He didn't feel Livion's rough kiss, and he didn't feel the tongue slide into his mouth. He didn't know Livion's hand moved between his legs to feel him. And he didn't know it when he passed through the dark door.
Livion looked around to his remaining victims. Aeris was passing in and out of consciousness next to Zacho who was knocked out when his head hit a large rock during the blast. Livion grinned as he walked over to the two. Aeris finally focused on his movements, and when he was sure that she was watching he unzipped Zack's pants. Now that he had possessed Kairi's body, Livion lowered himself onto Zack, using his hand to push Zack's limp cock inside of Kairi's slit slowly. He sat there smirking as tears rolled down Aeris' cheeks.
"Did you ever get to do this to him?" Livion asked. "Because he's done it to plenty of people these past few years. Men and women and children... he fucked them all. And he loved it."
Aeris tried to move to stop him, but Livion quickly jumped up, letting Zack slide out of him. Aeris barely had enough strength to fix Zack's clothes. As if she knew her end was near, she rested her body on top of his and closed her eyes.
"I'm so sorry," she whispered. "We didn't make it...."
She felt Livion staring down at her, and suddenly she saw through his eyes. She saw when Zack arrived there. She saw Livion torturing him. She saw every detail as Zack was chained up again and again, and raped by man after man after man. She watched as Livion raped him, then turned into a demon... then raped him again. Zack was beaten, whipped, cut, raped and tortured more than any human being should be in a million lifetimes. Tears streamed down Aeris cheeks as Livion poured his memories into her. Zack broke the last night Livion had sat by to watch his men rape him over a period of three nights. Livion healed him so thaey cey could use him again and again. And they used him, man after man after man, again and again, day after day, never letting him rest. It was as though every man at the castle was called in to force himself inside Zack's body. It was as though it didn't end until every man had known what it was like to taste him just once. It was after those days and nights of being raped, already after years of torment, years of being alone, that Zack broke. His final rapist after those long days was Livion, who refused to heal him as he rammed his cock into Zack's body. Zack's mind and heart strained, then seemed to give out... and finally, Livion let his consciousness sink in.
Aeris held Zack, the agony of knowing what had happened to him while she lived peacefully was killing her. "All that time," she sobbed, never letting go of Zack. "You hurt him... for years. So much pain...!"
Livion smiled. "When I fucked him that final time, I told him again and again... that you forgot about him. I whispered it into his ear right before he broke. I made hhinkhink that you, his only comfort, forgot he existed. And he cried before his heart snapped in two." He slowly drew his sword.
Aeris sobbed loudly, even as she felt Zack's arms slide around her slowly.
"Don't cry," he whispered softly, holding her close. "I never want to see you cry again.... I'm so glad... that I could see your beautiful face... one... one last--"
Aeris and Zack tensed in each other's arms, then grew still. Livion had stabbed his sword through Aeris's back, and it passed through her and Zack until it dug into the ground beneath them. When he pushed them through the door, he passed Aeris through first. He waited for a long while before shoving Zack through, to insure that they wouldn't be able to see each other ever again.

"Sora...."
"Hmm?"
"Sora...."
"Riku?"
"Sora, look at me."
Sora opened his eyes to find that he was floating in darkness. He knew this all too well now. This was the darkness that he allowed into his heart. This was the darkness that he used to save Riku.
"Sora," Riku said softly. "Remember how it used to be?"
"...Riku? What's going on?"
"Remember the island? Remember the laughter?"
"...I remember."
Riku appeared in the darkness, glowing faintly with a white aura. "Remember what it was like when the darkness couldn't touch you?"
"...I remember."
Riku wrapped his arms around Sora, pulling him close. "Come back to me, Sora. Look at me with those innocent eyes again.
"
"...Damnit. I can't Riku. I can't do it. Don't ask me to...."
"Come back to me Sora. Wake up!"
Sora's eyes snapped open, and even though he knew they were open, he found that he was surrounded with darkness once more. He felt movement next to him, and he realized he was in bed.
"It's all okay now, Sora," he heard Riku's voice whisper.
"What happened?!"
Riku didn't respond. Instead, Sora felt the silver-haired teen kiss him deeply. Riku's kiss was passionate, and he rested his body on top of Sora's. Sora was puzzled, but he didn't stop what was happening. He embraced these few moments of comfort, because it had been so long since he felt them. And he trusted Riku more than anyone.
Riku kissed down the side of Sora's neck, and Sora was finally free to speak. But what did he ask? What happened after that blast of fire? Did everyone get away? Were they all safe? But he couldn't bring himself to ask anything. He didn't want Riku to stop. This moment was more important than anything. Even though he couldn't see Riku through the darkness, he imaged they were somewhere safe. He remained silent as Riku pressed him against the bed.
Riku lifted Sora's shirt, and the brunette closed his eyes as Riku's mouth trailed over his body. First it was gentle kisses from his chest to his stomach, and then Riku seemed to become a little more forceful. But Sora didn't mind. Riku's force was nothing compared to Livion. Sora felt a swell of regret when he thought about what he let Livion and his companions do to him. It sickened him to think that he pretended to enjoy it when he rode their cocks, no matter how much they stretched and burned him... no matter how much it tore him open. He suddenly sat up, and he felt Riku's head lift away from his body.
"I'm so sorry, Riku," Sora said, the guilt filling his voice. "I'm so sorry for letting them take me like that." He reached forward until he could feel Riku's cheeks against his palms, and he leaned forward to kiss Riku's temple. "I hurt you," he murmured. "I hurt you so much. I'm so sorry I slammed your head into the glass. And I'm sorry I lied to you. I'm sorry I made you watch while I fucked them. I'm sorry I tried to rape Kairi." Sora was crying now, but he didn't care anymore. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry...!"
"You have nothing to be sorry for," Riku said gently. "You saved me, Sora. You went through hell to save me."
Sora remembered the times when he thought that Riku could be either angel or demon. But now... he didn't know how he saw anything but an angel.
"You did so much for me, Sora," Riku continued as he pushed Sora against the bed again. "I will never be able to thank you enough. Never...."
"But... all the pain I caused you," Sora said softly, as he felt Riku pull his pants and boxers down slowly. "Riku," he whispered. "You don't have to do this if you don't want to."
"You don't want me to?"
Sora hesitated. "Of course I do," he whispered. "But only if you want to. All those things I said to you.... The way I practically jumped on you and raped you like Livion did. The way the darkness fueled the lust in me.... I think it's all still there, Riku. But I'm trying so hard to hold it in. I want you. But.... Damnit, Riku! Do I have to spell it out for you?! I've been in love with you for years! Hurting you is the last thing on my mind!"
"I know," Riku said, caressing Sora's side. "I trust you, Sora."
"And... your eyes... I love them. I was just saying I hated them to--"
"I know."
"And I never saw you as a fucktoy."
"I know."
"And I--"
Sora was cut off was a wave of pleasure rolled over him. He felt Riku's tongue roll over him slowly, almost painfully. And then Riku wrapped his mouth around him, taking Sora in. Sora lifted his hips slightly to meet Riku's mouth, and he groaned softly. He felt the lust rise up in him slowly, and he gently reached down to run his hand through Riku's hair.
"Wait," he murmured. "I can feel it inside. The darkness.... It's going to make me hunger for you until I do something to hurt you again...."
"Like what?" Riku said, stroking Sora. Even in the darkness, Sora could hear in Riku's voice that there was the hint of a smile.
"Riku," he began. But he couldn't think of what he wanted to say next. "Riku..." he said again. The waves of lust that needed to be fed began to flow through his body. Riku's mouth returned to pleasuring Sora, and this time, Sora never wanted it to stop. Riku's hands caressed Sora's sides ran ran up and down his body. Sora arched his body to meet Riku's hands and mouth. Every touch fed his urges.
"Stop," Sora said softly. He felt Riku pull away, and he sat up. He pulled Riku into a tight hug and kissed him roughly. He felt the hunger overtaking him as he grabbed Riku's hair and crushed his body close as his tongue probed deeper and deeper. Riku didn't stop him, and Sora could even feel him welcoming every action. Sora pulled Riku to rest on his stomach on the bed, and he pulled his pants and boxers down forcefully. Riku didn't try to move away as Sora probed his entrance. But suddenly Sora stopped.
"What am I doing?" Sora said, pain in his voice. "I'm treating you like he did...."
"Do it," Riku said calmly. "I want you to."
"But Riku...." Sora could feel his body aching for Riku. He wanted him desperately. But his heart made him hesitate.
Riku slowly pushed himself up and turned around to face Sora. He pulled the brunette close and rested on the bed again, lying on his back with Sora on top of him. Sora kissed Riku gently, trying to hold back his deep hunger for him. But he soon realized that he was positioned between Riku's legs. His passion grew, and he kissed Riku harder. Riku broke the kiss to gasp as Sora pushed into him roughly. As if he suddenly realized what he did, Sora started to pull away, but Riku pulled him close again.
"Keep going," Riku whispered into his ear.
"I'm hurting you...."
Sora heard a jar opening, and he felt Riku hand it to him. Sora took the jar and pulled out of Riku long enough to slather the clear substance over himself before sliding into Riku again. He dropped the jar immediately and closed his eyes, taking in every sensation of being inside his lover’s body. He started to pump slowly, sweat pouring down his body as he slid in and out of Riku's tight, warm entrance. He heard Riku breathing hey, ay, and suddenly he whispered Sora's name, encouraging him to continue. Sora's need grew, and he started to thrust harder... faster... and deeper. Riku gasped and groaned deeply, his hands running over Sora's body. Sora could hardly believe that it was Riku he was sinking into so deeply. The excitement overtook him, and he came hard inside of the silver-haired teen. He tried to pull away to make sure that Riku could feel the same sensations he did, but the silver-haired teen pulled him close, not letting Sora pull out of his body. Sora felt the stickiness between them, and he knew that Riku had his release as well.
"Did I hurt you?" Sora asked, leaning his head to Riku's.
"Not once," Riku responded softly, holding Sora close.
Sora suddenly felt something warm inside is heart. It was faint at first, but then it grew. It was so warm and inviting... so pure. It tingled inside of him and spread throughout his body.
"You're taking it away," Sora said, feeling Riku's light spreading throughout his body. "You're taking the darkness away...."
"Now that your body has been satisfied, it's easier," Riku whispered.
Sora swallowed for a moment and pulled away from and out of Riku, feeling the light inside of him grow hot even as he did so. "Did you do this... just to free me from the darkness?"
He could feel Riku's weight leave the bed, and heard Riku get dressed again, and he soon felt Riku's hand push him down to rest gently. The covers were slowly pulled over his body, which felt so warm and relaxed now.
"Sora," Riku leaned in to whisper in his ear. "I did this because I love you too. The person I am now, will always love you."
Sora relaxed at Riku's words, and the warm, pure light filled him fully. He rested there in the quiet room for a moment. But soon he heard footsteps.
"Is that everyone?" Sora asked. I want to see them. Are they all okay?"
Riku was silent for a moment.
"Riku?"
"Sora... forgive me...."
"What?"
The door was flung open and the lights switched on. Sora sat up and looked around, his eyes wide with terror. The familiar walls of their previous prison hit his eyes. He stared at the walls of Riku's white and silver room once more. Livion stepped in, still in Kairi's body, and a few of his men rushed in, grabbing Riku.
"No..." Sora said, jumping out of the bed. The darkness was no longer resting in his heart, so instead of anger covering his sorrow, the tears came instead. "NO!"
Livion smirked and stepped out, and his men held Sora down as Riku was pulled away, his sea-green gaze remaining on Sora until he was out of view.
"NO! RIKU! NOOOOO!!!! Livion! Please! Don't take him from me again!!"
Livion only laughed. "Fool! He is to be my new shell. My consciousness and my heart will soon be inside of him. You're lucky we gave you time to say goodbye. But I knew it would make things harder, so I allowed it. You live in a fairy tale if you truly think that good always triumphs."
"NOOOOO!!!! PLEASE!" Sora cried as the men left, shutting the door behind them and leaving Sora alone. His hand remained outstretched for a long while as he remembered those beautiful sea-green eyes and the warm touch that came with them.
~~~~~~~~~~
Sora and Kairi stood in front of the crystal door for the last time. They both stared into the endless darkness. From behind them, Riku's hands touched their shoulders gently.
"Don't worry," came the dark voice from Riku's lips. "You'll join the others soon."
Sora turned one last time to see Riku's features engulfed by the shadows. His sea-green eyes were now as black as the nothingness beyond the door. He smirked at Sora darkly, and slowly caressed his cheek.
"Riku..." Sora whispered without thinking.
The smirk formed from Riku's face. "You should know better by now, dear Sora. Riku is dead. Only my consciousness remains. The flag of Livion will forever rise above this castle." He laughed darkly. "Now… return to the darkness...."
Sora and Kairi were pushed through the door. Sora vowed in his last moments to only remember the flash of sea-green... before those eyes became tainted eyes....
At least... I got to tell you Riku. And I got to kiss you... one last time....
Warning: Violence, Sexual situations
Riku tried to step forward after watching the attack, but when he broke away from Sora he only managed to stumble forward. His head was spinning, and it took so much effort to keep his eyes open. He slowly focused on Kairi, who stood not far from Cloud, who was choking on his own blood now. Aeris ran to Sephiroth, who knelt beside Cloud, and they both set to work trying to heel him. But Riku could see in their faces that they weren't getting far. Cloud grabbed them both by the arm, more of his blood pouring out of him as he did so.
"Stop...!" he hissed at them both. "You'll die. Three... Three of us... dead doesn't make any... sense does it?!"
But the two tried to heal again after Sephiroth pushed him to lie down once more. They seemed to forget that Livion existed as they tried and tried again. They didn't notice the crystal door opening slowly, and they hardly noticed that Livion, who had possessed Kairi's body, was no where in sight. Zack didn't notice either, because he was soon kneeling with them. Aeris nearly passed out next to him, and Squall pulled her away.
"You don't have a drop of energy left to heal him," Squall whispered. "Let Zack try."
"This might be a slow process, Cloud," Zack whispered to him. "I've never actually healed anyone," he said, speaking softly as he tried to heal his dying friend. "It was always Livion healing through my body. It was always his energy, not mine...."
Zack contd tad talking to keep Cloud alert. Suddenly Sephiroth clutched his heart and gasped sharply. He nearly fell forward onto Cloud, but Vincent caught him and pulled him to sit back and rest.
"I know what happened," Vincent whispered in Sephiroth's ear. "Cloud told me about you casting five spells at once. You haven't recovered yet. Cloud would never be at peace if you died here."
Sephiroth tried to sit up again, but Vincent easily held him in place. He sat behind the young swordsman and kept his arms around him, letting Sephiroth rest against him as he breathed heavily.
Riku stood by watching them all. Sora stood beside him, the darkness eating away at his heart. Kairi was possessed by Livion. Sephiroth and Aeris had drained their energy trying to save them all, and if they tried any harder they would die. Vincent was always there with his wisdom and support, but Riku could see that he was drained also, and could no longer transform. Squall was always alert, watching over them all and protecting them, staying awake night after nigo keo keep watch... and the fatigue overtaking him was torturing him. Zack had gone through more torture than any of them. While the rest of them saw months at the castle, Zack had been tortured for years. And Cloud.... Cloud was dying.
And then... there were footsteps....
Shadows appeared between the trees that surrounded the black rose garden. Livion's men surrounded them. They already knew that Zack was no longer Livion's shell. A girlish laugh erupted and echoed ugh ugh the trees. Kairi's voice was now laced with Livion's darkness.
"Leave him, Zack," Livion called out from the shadows. "He was the one left with the most energy, so I struck him down so that you all could see him in death. Everyone will die but my keyblade master, and the one who I choose to be my new body."
Sora held Riku close. "Livion will never take you away from me!"
Suddenly fire erupted around them, burning them all to the bone. But it wasn't actually causing physical harm. It was only there for physical pain. The fire sank into them and flowed through them. It dove so deep into them that they screamed in agony. Riku opened his eyes, hoping to see that Cloud and the others were spared from the pain that he and Sora were going through... but none of them were spared. Zack's concentration was broken from trying to heal Cloud, and he threw himself over his dying friend, hoping to spare him at least a little pain. The fire suddenly disappeared, and they were all flat on the ground, still feeling the pain of the flames.
Sora groaned and sat up, making up his mind to destroy Livion... and Kairi with him. He looked to Riku, who was still cringing in pain. But Riku's eyes were focused on the others now. The blast had a center.… It had a point where the impact was greatest. The blast had a point where it burned the hottest… and it's center was Sephiroth. Livion's dark, but now girlish laugh echoed through the trees. Aeris whimpered softly as she tried to call Sephiroth's name, but she could only manage an inaudible whisper. She realized that Cloud's glowing blue eyes were focused on the motionless young swordsman.
Vincent sat up, still feeling the pain from the fire. Sephiroth had landed on top of him, and he sat up slowly, lying the young swordsman on the ground. Long silver hair blew softly in the wind, trailing against the dirt along with the floating rose petals in the garden. Squall managed to pull his aching body over to feel Sephiroth's pulse. He could feel Cloud's eyes on him, begging him to say that Sephiroth was okay. Cloud's hand slowly raised to rest on Squall's shoulder. Zack finally sat up, wincing at the pain, and he held Cloud's other hand tightly, waiting for Squall's response.
"He would have been trouble if Cloud died," Livion called out from the shadows. "It's good that he's gone. Without him, you will never see the outside of my castle again."
"Tell... me..." Cloud whispered softly, blood slowly flowing from his mouth as he looked to Squall.
Riku tried to move closer to see everything, but Sora held him in place. He could only watch from a distance. He turned to see the Masamune dimming, as if the will within the sword had no desire to be held ever again.
"Cloud," Squall began, "He's--"
"Enough of this!" Livion yelled. A massive fireball cut through the air and hit Sephiroth's body, and the force of the blast sent the group flying.
Cloud rolled along the ground, refusing to be killed so easily. When he opened his eyes, he found himself next to the crystal door. Sephiroth had been knocked to the door as well, and his head was at the edge. His long silver was already passing into the darkness, and it seemed to disappear within the black nothingness. Cloud pulled himself over and tried to pull his friend away.
“You have to be alive,” Cloud whispered. “You can’t die here. You haven’t even lived as you should yet….”
A shadow fell over him, and he felt another piercing pain as Livion's blade stabbed through his back once more. This time, it passed through his heart, and broke through his chest. Cloud gasped his last, his eyes focused on Sephiroth's face.
Still... Cloud thought. Still untouched by evil.... Tears rolled down Cloud's face and fell onto Sephiroth's. I'll follow you again.... I always do....
Livion twisted the blade, and Cloud's limp body fell on top of Sephiroth. Deep laughter echoed through the air as Livion's power erupted from his body once more, hitting them and sending them both into the darkness together. They fell through the endless darkness... never leaving each other... even in death....
Vincent was unconscious when Livion grabbed him by the throat and lifted him from the ground. He threw him against the door frame and lifted him by the throat once more.
"You were the start of this, weren't you?" Livion asked softly, even though Vincent couldn't hear his words. "My fellow demon... you started this. You helped the keyblade master to escape his chambers, only to join you all. Pathetic, my dear Vincent Valentine." He tightened his grip on Vinc's t's throat. "You would have made a splendid shell for me. You are beautiful and strong, dear Vincent. But it would make me happier to see you disappear into oblivion forever. I would rather not see your face ever again."
Suddenly Livion felt someone rush against him, knocking him away from the door. He wasn't used to Kairi's small frame, so he didn't think to brace himself more. Vincent was released in the process, and he fell to the ground. Squall jumped to his feet after knocking Livion aside, and he swung his gunblade at him, firing through the swing and hitting Livion several times with the bullets. Livion roared in pain as the bullets pierced him, but he jumped to his feet. Squall charged again, and even as Livion hit him with a lightning spell, he continued forward des the the pain, attacking with the gunblade once more. When the bullets were spent, he continued in rage, using the blade even though it couldn't fire. He didn't trust what he saw when Livion was on the groundeedieeding and lying motionless.
A small whimper dacteacted Squall for a brief moment. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Aeris tangled dangerously in the razor sharp vines of the black roses. She would bleed to death if he left her there, and so he quickly ran over to her and cut the vines away. He helped her stand, and she sobbed as she backed away. Squall glanced to Livion's body again and again.
"Check on the others," Squall said, as he approached Kairi's... or Livion's body once more. His blue-gray eyes opened wide when he saw the bullets that had pierced Livionted ted on top of him, as though they had been forced out of the wounds. The dark blood ceased to flow. Without a second's hesitation Squall moved to pierce Livion's heart with the blabut but his speed was no match for the dark tormentor, who moved out of Squall's way before he could even blink. Squall's blade cut into the ground, and when he looked up, he saw Livion's sword coming shortly before it pierced his throat.
"Let's see you play leader if you can't speak," Livion smirked darkly. He pulled his sword away slowly, and smiled at the bright red blood that rushed from Squall's throat. Livion grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him to the door as he choked on his own blood. A disgusting gurgling sound rushed out of him when he tried to take a breath. He wasn't dead when Livion grabbed the front of his shirt anftedfted him to stand.
"Die slowly, Squall," Livion said with a cruel smile. "Hopefully you'll be dead before the dark ones eat away at your heart."
Squall was thrown through the door, and he saw it all happening to him as his blood drained away.
"Where was I?" Livion smirked, as his gfellfell to Vincent. "Still asleep are we?"
He knelt next to the raven-haired man and picked up his limp hand. He slowly slid one of Vincent's fingers under his dress, which Kairi was wearing when he possessed her. He slid Vincent's finger into the moist entrance, smirking down at Vincent's unconscious face.
"I must say," Livion said softly. "I think we men have the better deal when it comes to our pleasure." He held Vincent's hand, sliding his finger in and out again and again. "I like being the one who enters more than I like being entered. I like being the one who can cause pain when I force myself inside of someone who is tightight and scared and dry to handle me." He released Vincent's hand and let it slid away from him. "I'm sorry that I was always too focused on other things to fuck you senseless. I would have loved to see you scream."
Vincent never woke up. He didn't feel Livion's rough kiss, and he didn't feel the tongue slide into his mouth. He didn't know Livion's hand moved between his legs to feel him. And he didn't know it when he passed through the dark door.
Livion looked around to his remaining victims. Aeris was passing in and out of consciousness next to Zacho who was knocked out when his head hit a large rock during the blast. Livion grinned as he walked over to the two. Aeris finally focused on his movements, and when he was sure that she was watching he unzipped Zack's pants. Now that he had possessed Kairi's body, Livion lowered himself onto Zack, using his hand to push Zack's limp cock inside of Kairi's slit slowly. He sat there smirking as tears rolled down Aeris' cheeks.
"Did you ever get to do this to him?" Livion asked. "Because he's done it to plenty of people these past few years. Men and women and children... he fucked them all. And he loved it."
Aeris tried to move to stop him, but Livion quickly jumped up, letting Zack slide out of him. Aeris barely had enough strength to fix Zack's clothes. As if she knew her end was near, she rested her body on top of his and closed her eyes.
"I'm so sorry," she whispered. "We didn't make it...."
She felt Livion staring down at her, and suddenly she saw through his eyes. She saw when Zack arrived there. She saw Livion torturing him. She saw every detail as Zack was chained up again and again, and raped by man after man after man. She watched as Livion raped him, then turned into a demon... then raped him again. Zack was beaten, whipped, cut, raped and tortured more than any human being should be in a million lifetimes. Tears streamed down Aeris cheeks as Livion poured his memories into her. Zack broke the last night Livion had sat by to watch his men rape him over a period of three nights. Livion healed him so thaey cey could use him again and again. And they used him, man after man after man, again and again, day after day, never letting him rest. It was as though every man at the castle was called in to force himself inside Zack's body. It was as though it didn't end until every man had known what it was like to taste him just once. It was after those days and nights of being raped, already after years of torment, years of being alone, that Zack broke. His final rapist after those long days was Livion, who refused to heal him as he rammed his cock into Zack's body. Zack's mind and heart strained, then seemed to give out... and finally, Livion let his consciousness sink in.
Aeris held Zack, the agony of knowing what had happened to him while she lived peacefully was killing her. "All that time," she sobbed, never letting go of Zack. "You hurt him... for years. So much pain...!"
Livion smiled. "When I fucked him that final time, I told him again and again... that you forgot about him. I whispered it into his ear right before he broke. I made hhinkhink that you, his only comfort, forgot he existed. And he cried before his heart snapped in two." He slowly drew his sword.
Aeris sobbed loudly, even as she felt Zack's arms slide around her slowly.
"Don't cry," he whispered softly, holding her close. "I never want to see you cry again.... I'm so glad... that I could see your beautiful face... one... one last--"
Aeris and Zack tensed in each other's arms, then grew still. Livion had stabbed his sword through Aeris's back, and it passed through her and Zack until it dug into the ground beneath them. When he pushed them through the door, he passed Aeris through first. He waited for a long while before shoving Zack through, to insure that they wouldn't be able to see each other ever again.
"Sora...."
"Hmm?"
"Sora...."
"Riku?"
"Sora, look at me."
Sora opened his eyes to find that he was floating in darkness. He knew this all too well now. This was the darkness that he allowed into his heart. This was the darkness that he used to save Riku.
"Sora," Riku said softly. "Remember how it used to be?"
"...Riku? What's going on?"
"Remember the island? Remember the laughter?"
"...I remember."
Riku appeared in the darkness, glowing faintly with a white aura. "Remember what it was like when the darkness couldn't touch you?"
"...I remember."
Riku wrapped his arms around Sora, pulling him close. "Come back to me, Sora. Look at me with those innocent eyes again.
"
"...Damnit. I can't Riku. I can't do it. Don't ask me to...."
"Come back to me Sora. Wake up!"
Sora's eyes snapped open, and even though he knew they were open, he found that he was surrounded with darkness once more. He felt movement next to him, and he realized he was in bed.
"It's all okay now, Sora," he heard Riku's voice whisper.
"What happened?!"
Riku didn't respond. Instead, Sora felt the silver-haired teen kiss him deeply. Riku's kiss was passionate, and he rested his body on top of Sora's. Sora was puzzled, but he didn't stop what was happening. He embraced these few moments of comfort, because it had been so long since he felt them. And he trusted Riku more than anyone.
Riku kissed down the side of Sora's neck, and Sora was finally free to speak. But what did he ask? What happened after that blast of fire? Did everyone get away? Were they all safe? But he couldn't bring himself to ask anything. He didn't want Riku to stop. This moment was more important than anything. Even though he couldn't see Riku through the darkness, he imaged they were somewhere safe. He remained silent as Riku pressed him against the bed.
Riku lifted Sora's shirt, and the brunette closed his eyes as Riku's mouth trailed over his body. First it was gentle kisses from his chest to his stomach, and then Riku seemed to become a little more forceful. But Sora didn't mind. Riku's force was nothing compared to Livion. Sora felt a swell of regret when he thought about what he let Livion and his companions do to him. It sickened him to think that he pretended to enjoy it when he rode their cocks, no matter how much they stretched and burned him... no matter how much it tore him open. He suddenly sat up, and he felt Riku's head lift away from his body.
"I'm so sorry, Riku," Sora said, the guilt filling his voice. "I'm so sorry for letting them take me like that." He reached forward until he could feel Riku's cheeks against his palms, and he leaned forward to kiss Riku's temple. "I hurt you," he murmured. "I hurt you so much. I'm so sorry I slammed your head into the glass. And I'm sorry I lied to you. I'm sorry I made you watch while I fucked them. I'm sorry I tried to rape Kairi." Sora was crying now, but he didn't care anymore. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry...!"
"You have nothing to be sorry for," Riku said gently. "You saved me, Sora. You went through hell to save me."
Sora remembered the times when he thought that Riku could be either angel or demon. But now... he didn't know how he saw anything but an angel.
"You did so much for me, Sora," Riku continued as he pushed Sora against the bed again. "I will never be able to thank you enough. Never...."
"But... all the pain I caused you," Sora said softly, as he felt Riku pull his pants and boxers down slowly. "Riku," he whispered. "You don't have to do this if you don't want to."
"You don't want me to?"
Sora hesitated. "Of course I do," he whispered. "But only if you want to. All those things I said to you.... The way I practically jumped on you and raped you like Livion did. The way the darkness fueled the lust in me.... I think it's all still there, Riku. But I'm trying so hard to hold it in. I want you. But.... Damnit, Riku! Do I have to spell it out for you?! I've been in love with you for years! Hurting you is the last thing on my mind!"
"I know," Riku said, caressing Sora's side. "I trust you, Sora."
"And... your eyes... I love them. I was just saying I hated them to--"
"I know."
"And I never saw you as a fucktoy."
"I know."
"And I--"
Sora was cut off was a wave of pleasure rolled over him. He felt Riku's tongue roll over him slowly, almost painfully. And then Riku wrapped his mouth around him, taking Sora in. Sora lifted his hips slightly to meet Riku's mouth, and he groaned softly. He felt the lust rise up in him slowly, and he gently reached down to run his hand through Riku's hair.
"Wait," he murmured. "I can feel it inside. The darkness.... It's going to make me hunger for you until I do something to hurt you again...."
"Like what?" Riku said, stroking Sora. Even in the darkness, Sora could hear in Riku's voice that there was the hint of a smile.
"Riku," he began. But he couldn't think of what he wanted to say next. "Riku..." he said again. The waves of lust that needed to be fed began to flow through his body. Riku's mouth returned to pleasuring Sora, and this time, Sora never wanted it to stop. Riku's hands caressed Sora's sides ran ran up and down his body. Sora arched his body to meet Riku's hands and mouth. Every touch fed his urges.
"Stop," Sora said softly. He felt Riku pull away, and he sat up. He pulled Riku into a tight hug and kissed him roughly. He felt the hunger overtaking him as he grabbed Riku's hair and crushed his body close as his tongue probed deeper and deeper. Riku didn't stop him, and Sora could even feel him welcoming every action. Sora pulled Riku to rest on his stomach on the bed, and he pulled his pants and boxers down forcefully. Riku didn't try to move away as Sora probed his entrance. But suddenly Sora stopped.
"What am I doing?" Sora said, pain in his voice. "I'm treating you like he did...."
"Do it," Riku said calmly. "I want you to."
"But Riku...." Sora could feel his body aching for Riku. He wanted him desperately. But his heart made him hesitate.
Riku slowly pushed himself up and turned around to face Sora. He pulled the brunette close and rested on the bed again, lying on his back with Sora on top of him. Sora kissed Riku gently, trying to hold back his deep hunger for him. But he soon realized that he was positioned between Riku's legs. His passion grew, and he kissed Riku harder. Riku broke the kiss to gasp as Sora pushed into him roughly. As if he suddenly realized what he did, Sora started to pull away, but Riku pulled him close again.
"Keep going," Riku whispered into his ear.
"I'm hurting you...."
Sora heard a jar opening, and he felt Riku hand it to him. Sora took the jar and pulled out of Riku long enough to slather the clear substance over himself before sliding into Riku again. He dropped the jar immediately and closed his eyes, taking in every sensation of being inside his lover’s body. He started to pump slowly, sweat pouring down his body as he slid in and out of Riku's tight, warm entrance. He heard Riku breathing hey, ay, and suddenly he whispered Sora's name, encouraging him to continue. Sora's need grew, and he started to thrust harder... faster... and deeper. Riku gasped and groaned deeply, his hands running over Sora's body. Sora could hardly believe that it was Riku he was sinking into so deeply. The excitement overtook him, and he came hard inside of the silver-haired teen. He tried to pull away to make sure that Riku could feel the same sensations he did, but the silver-haired teen pulled him close, not letting Sora pull out of his body. Sora felt the stickiness between them, and he knew that Riku had his release as well.
"Did I hurt you?" Sora asked, leaning his head to Riku's.
"Not once," Riku responded softly, holding Sora close.
Sora suddenly felt something warm inside is heart. It was faint at first, but then it grew. It was so warm and inviting... so pure. It tingled inside of him and spread throughout his body.
"You're taking it away," Sora said, feeling Riku's light spreading throughout his body. "You're taking the darkness away...."
"Now that your body has been satisfied, it's easier," Riku whispered.
Sora swallowed for a moment and pulled away from and out of Riku, feeling the light inside of him grow hot even as he did so. "Did you do this... just to free me from the darkness?"
He could feel Riku's weight leave the bed, and heard Riku get dressed again, and he soon felt Riku's hand push him down to rest gently. The covers were slowly pulled over his body, which felt so warm and relaxed now.
"Sora," Riku leaned in to whisper in his ear. "I did this because I love you too. The person I am now, will always love you."
Sora relaxed at Riku's words, and the warm, pure light filled him fully. He rested there in the quiet room for a moment. But soon he heard footsteps.
"Is that everyone?" Sora asked. I want to see them. Are they all okay?"
Riku was silent for a moment.
"Riku?"
"Sora... forgive me...."
"What?"
The door was flung open and the lights switched on. Sora sat up and looked around, his eyes wide with terror. The familiar walls of their previous prison hit his eyes. He stared at the walls of Riku's white and silver room once more. Livion stepped in, still in Kairi's body, and a few of his men rushed in, grabbing Riku.
"No..." Sora said, jumping out of the bed. The darkness was no longer resting in his heart, so instead of anger covering his sorrow, the tears came instead. "NO!"
Livion smirked and stepped out, and his men held Sora down as Riku was pulled away, his sea-green gaze remaining on Sora until he was out of view.
"NO! RIKU! NOOOOO!!!! Livion! Please! Don't take him from me again!!"
Livion only laughed. "Fool! He is to be my new shell. My consciousness and my heart will soon be inside of him. You're lucky we gave you time to say goodbye. But I knew it would make things harder, so I allowed it. You live in a fairy tale if you truly think that good always triumphs."
"NOOOOO!!!! PLEASE!" Sora cried as the men left, shutting the door behind them and leaving Sora alone. His hand remained outstretched for a long while as he remembered those beautiful sea-green eyes and the warm touch that came with them.
~~~~~~~~~~
Sora and Kairi stood in front of the crystal door for the last time. They both stared into the endless darkness. From behind them, Riku's hands touched their shoulders gently.
"Don't worry," came the dark voice from Riku's lips. "You'll join the others soon."
Sora turned one last time to see Riku's features engulfed by the shadows. His sea-green eyes were now as black as the nothingness beyond the door. He smirked at Sora darkly, and slowly caressed his cheek.
"Riku..." Sora whispered without thinking.
The smirk formed from Riku's face. "You should know better by now, dear Sora. Riku is dead. Only my consciousness remains. The flag of Livion will forever rise above this castle." He laughed darkly. "Now… return to the darkness...."
Sora and Kairi were pushed through the door. Sora vowed in his last moments to only remember the flash of sea-green... before those eyes became tainted eyes....
At least... I got to tell you Riku. And I got to kiss you... one last time....
