Wrong capsule
Chapter 1: Wrong capsule
-x-x-
“This must be... Zero...”
Ciel, the fifteen-year-old human Neo-Arcadian prodigy, turned Resistance leader, could barely contain her elation. The hardships had been staggering, of course and the losses heavy. Out of the twenty-strong reploid detachment she had begun with, only herself, Pass, Milan and another soldier had survived.
And yet, she could now make everything better. The mistakes of her past could be, if not forgiven, then at least mended. For in the center of the grand, underground chamber, a transparent capsule was looming, its glassy surface flawless and glowing. And inside the capsule, a reploid slept, suspended peacefully therein, bluish fluid enveloping him, his crimson armor and long golden hair hinting to his identity.
“We found him at last”, breathed Milan. The Resistance reploid would usually be described as cunning and cautious. Unfortunately, being chased for days and losing comrade after comrade had done a great job corroding his better judgement. And so, without caution, he stepped forth, touching the glowing capsule.
Which turned out to be mind-numbingly idiotic, since a powerful forcefield came in life before he was even close, hurting every component in his body and knocking him back. The cry he let escape his mouth was not exactly flattering, either.
“It’s protected”, noted Passy, a bit gleefully. The fairy-like Cyber-elf did not really like Milan. She had frequently caught him ogling her tiny, firm body and, taking into account their size difference, she wanted nothing to do with his sick fantasies.
Milan glared at her momentarily, before panic decided to set in. The enemy was close, he knew, and here they were, inches from their objective with no idea how to reach it. “What should I do?” he wondered aloud.
His train of thought never quite managed to leave the station, however. The aforementioned enemies decided to appear, humanoid mechaniloids with blue bodies, a single red eye each and mindless devotion to their orders: Capture Ciel alive, eliminate anything else.
The other surviving soldier, qualifying for the ‘anything else’ category, was quickly reduced to smoldering scrap.
“Watch out!” Milan himself received three shots, his armor protecting him before cracking. He could have dodged, of course, but that would have put Ciel in the line of fire and humans happen to be substantially more fragile than reploids. “We are cornered! We need to evacuate now!” he babbled.
Ciel tried to explain to him how their escape units wouldn’t work inside such a shielded facility and how their only escape route would have been a Transerver... “But...” ... although she was hardly as articulate and witty as her prodigy pedigree would otherwise suggest.
“We have no time to argue!” insisted Milan uselessly. He had been trying to shoot the droids down for some time, but his rifle was not exactly on par, technologically speaking. Each Pantheon droid required at least twenty shots and he was outnumbered ten to one.
It was inevitable, really. Try as he may, he soon failed to dodge a salvo of energy bolts. With a pained cry, he fell to the ground, never to rise on his own again.
“Milan!” exclaimed Ciel. They had grown pretty close during the last years. The few times the young scientist allowed herself to act her age, she imagined how she would marry him when she grew older. Of course, her rational mind would soon slap her back into shape, but Milan had been a dear friend nonetheless.
“Ciel!” screamed Passy for the fifth time, hopeful she finally penetrated her human’s veil of grief. “You should use my power! You have no choice.”
“What!? Passy... If I do, you'll be...” Understandably, Ciel thought the idea was bullshit. Cyber-elfves usually died to use their power and Passy was another friend.
“Don't worry about me. Remember, everyone is waiting for your safe return!” was the pixie’s response and Ciel knew she had a point. Her power was the only thing that could break through the capsule’s protections and release the reploid inside in an instant.
“Okay...Thank you.”
“No. I should thank you, Ciel. Good-bye...”
Ciel’s strong front collapsed as Passy rushed forward, her body glowing fiercely. The human shouted her name once more just before she vanished inside the capsule, then said capsule activated. Alarms started blowing all over the chamber, disorientating the Pantheons, and the capsule’s liquid drained before it opened. The dark red reploid stepped forward, encased in a corona of power that raged around him like a ghost wind.
“Zero... has been resurrected”, muttered Ciel, mostly to herself.
The so-called Zero, however, had other ideas. A purple beam saber appeared in his grasp, its cackling point hovering a centimeter away from Ciel’s face. “I don’t know who the hell you are, girl, but the next person that calls me by that name will become mincemeat. The name’s Omega...”
Stupidly, the X-drones behind him decided to eliminate him at that exact moment. They released another salvo of shots, aimed for his back.
“...and I hate to be interrupted”, snapped Omega, whirling around and slashing with his blade. A luminous arc of power erupted from the sword, neutralizing the incoming projectiles before reaching the Pantheons. A second later, the chamber sported one more pile of scrap.
Omega turned around again, really looking at Ciel this time. At her pretty and currently pale face, her slim, petite figure, her long legs and her pert breasts that had only recently started developing. The red terror smirked ferally. He would really enjoy this...

A/N: And I hope you’ve also enjoyed this prologue-teaser really. Let’s just say I’m testing the waters before I write the real lemon. Expect primarily: minor (Ciel! Duh!), N/C (Omega! Duh!), M/F and secondary: Anything my sick imagination can fit in (F/F, Cyber-elves, extreme violence, etc.) I might even include a real plot!
There definitely won’t be any yaoi here. I was appalled by the rareness of good megaman smut on the Net. Perhaps if I make a difference, others will too...
