Prologue.

The slab lifted like a trap door, and flipped over, landing with a loud crash. The room below was pitch black, so she lit a flare and dropped it in. The floor lit up and she could see a statue over to one side of the opening. She dropped a tape measure in, to see how far she had to fall. When it hit the floor, she read that the floor was not too far down to jump in and so rolled up the tape measure and put it away in her pack.

While the flare was still lit, she heaved herself through the opening in the floor and dropped herself into the room beneath her. She landed with a thud, dropping her hands immediately to balance herself. She got to her feet, whilst picking up the flare in her left hand. The floor slab closed above her, and the little sunlight that was shining into the room was shut out.

She began to search the room for a way out, scrutinizing each and every wall for a crack or a breach, something that would indicate a way out. When she reached the point of the room where she started her search, she had had no joy and swore into the darkness as her flare died out.

“Well done, Lara. You’ve been tomb raiding since you were 16 years old, and you’ve never been trapped like this before! Well done, idiot!”

She began to search through her pack in the darkness for another flare, and was about to strike one when a voice broke the silence that had settled over the room.
“It may just be that I have rested here for far too many years, but is that not a young age to be disturbing the rest of the Pharaohs?”

She lit the flare, and searched the room, frantically for the source of the voice. There was no one else there, it was just Lara and the three stone sculptures of the Pharaoh’s palace guards. “Where are you?” she asked the room, straining to find the voice’s owner.

She jumped as a hand touched her shoulder, and spun around to find that it belonged to the stone statue that she had seen from the tomb’s courtyard.
“Who are you?” she breathed. She had fought enchanted guard statues before, but none of them had ever touched her unless they were trying to pull her apart, and absolutely none of them had ever spoken.

The statue turned and stepped down from its plinth. Lara stroked the hand and noticed that it was too smooth to be stone. Before her eyes the stone changed colour, and the statue became a man.
“I am the head guard of this tomb. Why do you disturb Cleopatra’s rest, and who are you?”
“I…I am Lara Croft. I disturb the rest of those who have passed in order to protect this world.”
“Why do you disturb Cleopatra’s rest? You have not answered this question, and I cannot judge your actions until you do.” As he spoke, the other statues stepped down from their plinths and began to change as the first had. Lara tried to ignore this as she spoke again.

“Seth has been released. I seek the armour of Anubis, so that I might defeat and re-entomb him…” She noticed the other men were lighting the torches around the room. “and I ask that Cleopatra forgive me disturbing her rest, but it is something I must do.” She finished speaking and waited for a response.
“Your actions are noble, but there are many traps ahead. You must rest before you go, as you will exhaust much energy – earning your passage.”

“Earn my passage?” She noticed now that the guards were naked, save for a gold band on their left biceps. Each guard’s band bore a different colour of stripe. The guard she spoke to bore purple, the others bore blue and green. They began to close in around her.

“We must discern whether you have the strength to reach the armour, without risking harm to your…fair body.”
The blue-bearing guard spoke. “What Minoses says is true. There remain man ways in which we may test you, but we have been in this room for much time.”
“Metjen is right. We have been alone with few visitors. Only you have been found worthy, and none so fair and alluring have come into our midst.” The green-bearing guard said.
“Will you take the test?” Minoses asked.

“I must take the test. But what must I do in order to pass it?” she asked. She felt Metjen pull off her pack, and the unnamed guard remove her gun belt.
“We have spent many centuries guarding this tomb,” replied Minoses while the others set about removing her boots. “In all that time, we have not felt a woman’s touch, nor the pleasure of her body.” Her boots were undone and she looked down as she pulled her feet out of them. When she looked back up, Minoses’ body was almost pressed against hers, his arms around her, as his hands removed her T-shirt, the others removing her socks and shorts.

The three of them began to kiss and caress her, Minoses fondled her breasts, whilst Metjen stroked her back and legs. But the unnamed soldier rubbed his hands against both of her free openings through her thong. The longer she stood there, the wider and wetter she became.

Finally she asked, “What must I do?”
Minoses pulled her closer to him, holding her tighter in his arms. “What you must do,” he said, unfastening her bra while one of the others removed her thong, “is to please each of us, in a way that we will not forget for centuries to come.
That shouldn’t be too hard, she thought, three good shags and I’m on my way.
“However,” said Metjen, “you must please us all at the same time.”
I haven’t had such a fun raid in years, she thought, smiling.

“I will do it.” She said simply.
