Disclaimer:
I do not own Tales of Symphonia, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Dreaming it'd be better
Now, I don’t usually do this, but I think I’ll start a little something with a remix.
Yep, that was music lyrics from a song whose name I can’t remember, making the quoting a useless waste off your time.
And now you know why I don’t read these intro’s.
On with my point, all righty then...
I reread my Kratos/Yuan/Zelos story and was like, “what in the name of Hathor's pet rock was I on when I wrote this?”
So yeah, I think I shall rewrite this story.
Sorry to all of you who had to read this really crappie story; that was so out of character that they might as well all been someone else.
Yep, enough of the rants, I shall now rewrite this, hopefully now in character.
Quick warnings, this has the Yaoi and lemons.
Pairing(s) is Kratos/Zelos/Yuan, just incase you didn’t get that in the rant
-
When was it that I began to care? Began to feel again? I had been so numb for so long…pain, sorrow, none of it matter to me, so why then do I now feel something far worse than either…?
Why is it that I now am forced to feel love?
-
“Oh...”
This wasn’t the way it was suppose to go...
“Ah... Oh gods...!”
Why am I doing this? Why am I hurting myself like this?
“No! Ah!! D-Don’t! I gonna... Ah!!!”
I used to hate this behaviour in others, felt sorry for those they hurt.
“Oh.... Kratos...”
-
The sun’s up early again. Ugh, sometimes I hate summer... I wince as I raise my head off my pillow, looking at the rising sun. I mock glare at it for getting in my eyes and forcing me from slumber.
... Slumber, it’s been a while since I could use that word in context with myself. I yawn, stretching my groggy muscles, moving over and getting off the bed.
Walking over to my mirror I have hanging in my room, I take weary look at myself. My eyes are puffy from stress and my blue hair is all over my face. I look like I was beaten by a two-by-four, but I suppose that’s what happens when you’re up to the wee hours of the night being banged into your bed. I’m surprised that I haven’t broken something yet.
Sighing irritably, I pick up a brush and try to run it through my hair, already knowing it’s pretty much a lost cause.
I’m sure if Kratos was still here he’d mock me with, ‘You know if you hate being mistaken for a woman you could always cut your hair’, or something to that extent.
Feh, what does he know about hair? Just look at his! It’s always a complete disarray of spiky tangles all over the place. I’d like to see him try to get a brush through it!
Hmm, note to self, stop ranting to self, in fact stop talking to yourself all together.
I yawn and stretch, bending over to touch my toes. That’s when I feel something hard touching my ass. I yelp and jump back from it. “Holy Sylph! Zelos! Don’t do that!” I shout at the now proudly smirking ex-chosen of Tethe'alla.
“But it was such a welcome opportunity Yuan.” Zelos said, smirking widely. He walks up to me, taking me into his arms and kissing me deeply and I return the kiss. “Hmm, you’re turning me on...” He purred to me.
I mock glared at him, “Why don’t we have breakfast before we try something... strenuous like that?” I ask rolling my eyes.
“I could just eat you...” He says smirking. “You look so tasty this morning....”
“Zelos.” I say sternly, moving out of his embrace. “Let’s just stop with the theatrics this morning.”
“So grumpy...” Zelos said, smirking lightly. “All right, all right. You win, we’ll go eat.”
I sigh, shaking my head. It almost feels as though I’m dealing with a child, though Zelos is anything but...
Zelos lead the way to the kitchen, looking over his shoulder at me and asking. “Hey Yuan, do want me to cook some eggs, or something...?”
“All right.” I said, and once in the kitchen moving to the table and sitting down.
It only took him a few minutes to cook up some eggs and bacon for both of us. He set it down on the table. “Enjoy!”
I smiled appreciatively, eating the breakfast quickly. “This is good.” I said, finishing my last piece of bacon.
“Really, really?” He asked eyes sparkling slightly. “I know you’ve only recently got your sense of taste back, so I’ve been trying to find out what you like and don’t.”
“Thank you Zelos, I appreciate it.” I said smiling again.
Doesn’t all this seem a little wrong though...?
I turned when I heard a couple of thumps, signalling that Kratos was walking down the stairs. I turned to greet him as he walked into the kitchen.
“Hey.” He waved back to me, then locked eyes with Zelos’s. They glared at each other.
I sighed, this was the routine we’d all had for almost two years.
Kratos and I had lived with each other after Mithos’s death; it really hadn’t meant anything it just happened.
I then suddenly found myself with Zelos. I’m not entirely sure how it happened, I just guess love is crazy like that. He moved in two years ago.
This was, to say the least, not welcome with Kratos, and he made his opinion well known.
Zelos acted like he could careless about Kratos’ opinion about him and I never got involved in their fight, save for stopping them when it seem like it was about to get lethal.
However our situation has gotten a little more dangerous lately.
All because of my stupid mistake.
Kratos walked over to the stove, quickly cooking something up for himself. He sat down and starting eating, now ignoring Zelos’s presence. I sighed irritably, looking away from the scene.
“Hey Yuan, did you want to go out today? We need to pick up groceries and it’s really nice out.” Zelos asked me.
“All right.” I said smiling, choosing to ignore the situation for now.
“Okay, so how about we both get ready and go?” He said, picking up our dishes and moving to the sink to clean up.
“All right.” I agreed again, moving to help him dry. When we were done, I left to go to my room to get ready.
Zelos followed after me, closing the door once we were both in. “Hey.” He said, to get my attention.
“Hello.” I answered back.
“So...” He said. He’s uncomfortable, that’s odd...
“Yes?” I asked. He only like this when he’s done something really stupid, such as completely enraging Kratos or breaking something, though I don’t remember him doing either recently...
“Is it me, or has Kratos been acting different lately?” He asked calmly, though I’m sure he tried to carefully pick his words.
“You think so?” I asked back, “I didn’t notice anything in particular.”
”Except for the fact that he’s happier...”
“Oh, well okay. I just thought you might have noticed something because you know him so well.” Zelos said shrugging.
“I knew him.” I corrected him. “I’m not so sure anymore...”
”When has he ever partaken in something like this, I’m sure he hates it too.
“Well, he can do whatever as far as I’m concerned.” Zelos said, pushing some of his hair out of his face.
I rolled my eyes. “Perhaps if you put aside your differences and tried talking to each other you’d see that you actually have a lot in common.”
Zelos rolled his eyes, “Yeah, like we both are tall and have red hair.”
I sighed irritably, “Fine, let’s both get dressed and go out.” I said, finishing the conversation.
Zelos shrugged. “All right.”

Sorry if this chapter is a little confusing, but I was trying to leave clues as to what’s happening without just giving it away.
I hope this is a lot better than my previous one. i made Yuan into such a victim *sighs and shakes head*
