Summary: Set 8 years after A Link to the Past, Link is now famous as a hero,
and rumored to be courting the Princess Zelda.
But he is slowly falling to his own desires, and his lust for the power of the Master Sword...

The Legend of Zelda: Evil's Bane

Light...bright light. A boy of about 18 years twitched and fidgeted on the plush
bed he slept upon, plagued by who knows what nightmares. And he had fought nightmares.
Indeed, in his simple green cloth tunic, with little more than a bag, a sword, and a shield, he
had fought countless nightmares.
But now he was in one of his own, and his sweat poured like a river...
His mind saw blackness. A deep blackness, in which he ran, cowering,
afraid of he knew not what. Link knew he was alone..and he knew there were voices.
Urging him .Urging him on, ever on. "Go, Link! Run! It is so close..."
"What is..who are you? What is this?!"
Suddenly he stopped. Something stopped him from proceeding, an invisible barrier
that pulled at his innermost fears...but there he saw it. Gleaming in the darkness like
a ray of pure sunlight, sat the Blade of Evil's Bane, the Master Sword!
Link knew what he had to do.All doors in his mind aligned in that moment...and he stepped forward.
And taking the legendary sword with an oath, he plunged it deep into his own heart.Blood flowed forth
from him like a waterfall...and even in his dreams, all faded to black...
"AHHHH!"
But Link snapped awake, his simple nightshirt and bedsheets soaked in cold sweat.He clutched
at his breast, but found no wound.
"A dream..just another dream..."
Link rose and quickly dressed. Zelda awaited him...and if she could not make him forget, nothing in this world
could.
(No sex, drugs, violence, or any of the good stuff yet, but I'm only getting started. Review please, but I plan to write more chapters anyhoo!)
