Not a note about anything in this fic (sorry! Feel free to delete!) but if you're looking for a free alternative to Word, then Openoffice has a program that's almost exactly like Word, but without the stupidly high price tag :) It sure beats the hell out of Notepad anyway, and at the very least it'll help with formatting.
