Return to Wonderland

Return to Wonderland: Prologue 

Alice couldn't believe it. She was in Wonderland, once again. It was all so familiar, but so foreign at the same time. It was the same, but so different than when she had last visited it years ago. Her mind was as haze-filled as it ever was. She was just in London a few minutes ago, wasn't she? But that didn't matter anymore. Alice's bright emerald-colored eyes blinked slowly as she looked down to her form, back in a dress that was also so familiar. It had been ages, hadn't it? Her hair had grown back to the length she preferred, and this was shown as she lifted her hand to idly play with the ends as she stood, confused, yet peaceful, taking everything in. 

The Vorpal Sword had also tasted its first blood in ages. Blood, and the black ooze that seeped from those ugly, evil… gross creatures - whatever they were.  It hungered for more, hungered to protect the young woman who held it by sounding its metallic snicker-snack as it met the flesh of those who opposed it's dear, beautiful Alice.  It had been some time since the brunette had battled, and so needed some time to get herself together. She plopped back against a smaller mushroom and closed her eyes as she spread her arms, letting them hang loosely from the fungus that acted as her resting place for the time being. Her mind was truly in ruins, just as she thought. That Doctor was a fool. He wanted her to forget everything except her Wonderland, but that ever-grinning cat told her it was crumbling, and so that meant her mind was, too. But what did he mean it had a new ruler? What happened to that wretch of a Queen? Alice opened her eyes once more. She supposed she'd find out sooner or later. After all, she wanted to save her precious Wonderland.  With a push, Alice was up, and paused before vaulting off  of the edge what she assumed to be Wonderlandian cliffs, floating gently to another to continue her journey.
