The Hunter and the Templar
The Hunter and the Templar
Author's Note:
As of 6-7-2014, I have been made aware that there are a few things in the last few chapters that might be confusing simply because I did not flesh enough of the game-lore out in the earlier chapters. I am in the process of going back to edit some of that so later chapters make sense. So far, Chapter 02 has been edited with more content at the end. I will edit at least one more chapter further on when I have time so the 25+ will hopefully make more sense to those not familiar with the game. 6-8-14: Chapter 07 has been revamped with additional content as well.

My name is Killashandra. I am a Demon Hunter. There is nothing special about me aside from the fact that my goal in this life and whatever follows it is to destroy any and all demons I find plaguing humanity. I am not alone in this. But for whatever reason, those who found me as that poor child seem to believe there is something inside me destined to see this task through. My father always did say I was more stubborn than my mother. A fact that always made me laugh and him smile.Just remembering those times--and how they were all ripped away from me in one violent, bloody moment--is it any wonder that my hatred for demons runs so strong? It was the first time I realized that the concept of Time is relative. The moment lasted far longer to the perception of the world than it did for me. All that I remember are the screams, the pain, the terror. And just remembering makes my blood burn with rage.
I journeyed to New Tristram, as several of my colleagues did, to follow the path of a falling star that brought the dead back to life in twisted, cursed forms that screamed of demonic power. Where there is such cursed abominations and terror, there will be demons. My skills are still being honed, but I am strong. I am not afraid. I will have my vengeance for what they did to my family. For what they did to me.
Maybe I am just human. But if terror, pain, and death are what demons seek...I shall not disappoint them...

Author's Note:
I realize this chapter is PAINFULLY short. There will probably be very short snippets to come as well. But I can assure that the length will improve. This is sort of me trying something new in my writing styles. I've pulled away from World of Warcraft for now and am far more interested in Diablo 3 simply because of the lore and NPC stories. It's far richer now than WoW--a truly sad fact for me. That and really, the longer I play it, the more my brain keeps latching onto certain NPC conversations and playing with stories!
