Beautiful Mondays

I'm very sorry to report that this story has gotten abducted into a giant vortex of doom! This is a re-upload. But if you haven't read it before you would be unaware of that, right? Luckily, I had it on my computer. First written 2/20/2007. It used to be four chapters but the last chapter didn't get saved.... It was very short and not integral, so you can consider these three chapters to be the complete story. Thanks everyone

Pat. Pat. Pat.  The rain’s hard rapping was just barely heard over the sound of an audience’s laughter. Inside the house all the lights were out and the only light was color coming from the TV. In a chair huddled under a warm blanket sat a brunette with a bag full of popcorn. Very slowly, he dug his hand into the bag, his eyes focused on the television intensely. The host of the show he was watching was reaching into a box with a large purple question mark on it. He had to laugh when he saw the expression on the man’s face, and put some of the caramel popcorn into his mouth. He couldn’t wait to see what it was that the poor guy was holding.

He’d never get that chance however, because at that exact moment, there was a brilliant flash and a loud booming sound outside. The brunette jumped so much he almost fell out of the chair. The popcorn tumbled out of his grasp and landed on the floor. The room was completely silent until he broke it with a large groan. He slid off of the chair and onto the floor to recover his discarded bag, feeling some of the kernels crunching beneath his knees. As he did this, he groaned again, but for an entirely different reason. This time the groan wasn’t because of an abbreviated program or spilt popcorn…this time was because he’d felt a dull pain shoot through his lower body.

Abandoning his search for relatively clean popcorn, he moved a hand to his lower back and glanced out the window. His eyes seemed glazed over for a moment, but then they looked down at the rug and a small grin broke onto his face. “You did more to me than I thought, Riku...,” he thought, remembering what had unfolded Monday night. He closed his eyes and pictured the other boy in his mind, unconsciously biting his lower lip with a deep sigh.

He wondered where he was now.
