Chapter One: New Kid in Town.

 

'Shit..' was the only coherent thought he could think of first. As he peeled himself off the gravel to sit up the best he could. His head throbbed, and body just ached. His vision slightly blurred but soon came back to focus. He reached his hand up to his fiery hair the feel the stickiness of the bleeding gash in his head.

His left arm was skinned up, the one he mainly landed on before rolling like a dummy against the pavement before landing in the gravel that he was sitting on. He glanced up to see his Motorcycle pretty much wrapped around a tree.

"I'm sorry baby, you went to waste." He said laying back on the ground and closed his eyes.

'How the fuck...does anyone survive that..' he thought as he heard the faint sounds of sirens. 'They're pretty fucking good and fast' he started to doze off as the sound got louder. Then Completely blacked out.

~6 months later~

 

"Roxas!" The blonde opened his eyes slowly.

'Nnn.." was all that came from the freshly woken up boy.

"Roxas get your lazy butt up, it's almost 2pm. Don't you have some stuff to do with your friends?" Aerith said nicely as she picked up some dirty clothes off the room floor. "I know it's summer but you've just been sleeping around."

Roxas sat up and stretched. "And working, you forgot I work too." he said looking at his mom.

"Well do something productive, for me hmm?" She smiled and kissed his head through his naturally spiky locks.

"Ok, but just for you." He said as he got up and headed into his bathroom shutting the door and turning on the shower. He could hear her leave his room shutting the door on her way out.

Aerith might as well have been the best mom ever, she was the sweetest person you could ever meet.

When he was done he brushed his teeth quickly and towel dried his hair. He never had to style it, it would always end up being naturally spiky and gravity defying. He walked back into his room and put on his baggy cargo pants and a fitting T-shirt. He made his bed quickly, a good lesson Aerith made sure he knew, and headed downstairs. 

"Oh look who's up." His dad said not even having to look up from his book.

"Morning...I mean, afternoon Dad." Roxas said laughing a little.

Cloud smirked a little. Cloud was the reason his hair was naturally spikey, his blonde locks stood up in the same way Roxas's did.

Roxas grabbed an apple and bit into it as Cloud started to talk.

"So Leon is gonna be letting his nephew stay with him for awhile, I was thinking maybe you could be kinda a friend to him for the summer. You know, show him around, maybe introduce him to some friends."

Roxas kinda thought for a minute. "I didn't know Leon had a Nephew." He said throwing the apple away.

"Not by blood, Leon was close to his family for a long time, it's just polite to call him his nephew because to him he might as well be." He said getting up and leaving his book as Aerith came into the kitchen.

"I think it'd be good for you to have another friend Roxas, maybe you'll rub off on him." She said cheerfully as Cloud wrapped his arms around her waist and nuzzled her back.

'Highly doubt he'd like that..' Roxas thought.

His parents had no idea he was gay, only on person really knew, Kairi. His best friend.

Being 17 Roxas didn't want to put that on his parents just yet. He had only admitted it to himself last year when he started having weird dreams about being with a guy and feeling right about it.

But no one in Sunset Valley was gay, that he knew of, so no need to come out just yet.

"Is he some kind of bad kid?" He asked watching his mom and dad have their little moment of PDA.

"He's just...misunderstood, atleast I think. He's been through a lot, it's normal at his age." Cloud said releasing Aerith with a light kiss to her cheek.

"How old is he?"

"Almost 19, still 18 but in about a month I think he'll be 19." Cloud patted his shoulder as he grabbed his keys to head off to their family store. "He'll be at the store with Leon sometime today so show up eventually so you can meet him. I'm heading out now so catch up soon." He said going out the front door.

Roxas was only 17, only one more year of high school and he was out of this place to explore the world. 'How much of a bad kid could this guy be to have to come stay out here for the summer. Must be a drag for him. Poor guy.' He thought kissing his mom on her cheek and heading outside.

The warm air embraced him as he walked over to his bike to ride into town.

The store mainly sold things like clothes, niknaks, maps, snacks. It was also joined up with the car garage that Leon owned and ran. Roxas never knew a lot about cars, but his dad and Leon were total gear heads.

The ride seemed so short because of the years he had had to ride his bike to work and soon he was out side the store and brought his bike inside.

 

The air was warm, that kind of warm that was was the prefect amount of wind and warmth. That's what this place was. Kinda..perfect.

"So what do you think so far Axel?" Leon asked as they drove down the road.

The red head hadn't said much since he had gotten there last night. Things were definitely new, and the only good thing was that no one knew him.

"It's just different, being somewhere peaceful is just new." he said rolling down the window and sticking his hand outside to feel the warm air. It was like a dessert, not like where he came from.

"Yea this place is definitely peaceful, can give you time to collect yourself. And you'll have 'you' time. And you can work on the motocycle me and Cloud put aside for awhile since we've been busy on a different project."

"Cool." Axel was a short sentence kind of guy and Leon understood since he himself was the same way.

"You'll like Roxas, he's a good kid. Even though he's younger than you, you could probably learn a few things."

"ha little shorty's gonna teach me stuff? neh I know enough, you mean he'll keep me in check so I don't screw up while I'm here." Axel was laughing on the inside about that idea. 'Little twerp has nooo idea.'

"You'll see what I mean, he'll definitely keep your ass in check while I can't." Leon punched him in the arm when they stopped behind the garage.

They got out and went inside. "Yo Could!" Leon projected as he heard so tool be dropped.

"Hey there you are!" Cloud approached them wiping his hands off on a rage. "And this must be Axel, nice to finally meet you." He shook Axels hand.

"Nice to meet you to sir." He replied.

"You can call me Cloud, no need for sir and shit." Cloud laughed as he went back to working on a car.

"Hey why don't you head inside and get a drink then come back out and we'll get you started on the bike." Leon said walking him through the garage to the front. "Just tell Kairi you're gonna be working in the garage so you get free snacks and drinks."

"Alright, you want anything?" Axel asked before heading out the front of the garage.

"umm a coke, how about you Cloud?"

"Same."

He turned and headed over to the small general store. 

 

Roxasss!!" The little petite red head yelled waving at him.

"Heyyy Kairiiii." he said laughing as he put his bike in the storage room next to hers.

"Soooo I heard Leon's got a nephew or someone coming to stay here for the summer?" she asked as Roxas walked toward the front counter. He looked around and no one was in the store, which meant Cloud was next door in the garage probably tinkering with his and Leon's "project".

"Yea, my dad told me this morn...today." he said realizing it wasn't morning when he got the news.

"You lazy bum, did you just wake up?!" She hit him with the book she was reading.

"ouch! hey don't blame me!" he laughed pushing the book away.

"I've been awake all day and you just now roll out of bed, typical." she huffed but smiled. "So what do you know about this kid?"

"Not much, just that he's 19 and that Leon's kind of like his God uncle." He said sitting on the counter and she joined him.

"Do you think he's gonna be cute?" She was reading but he knew she'd be listening.

Kairi was the only one who knew Roxas was gay, she was his best friend. Even when he wasn't sure if he was gay she was there to offer help. She was a good listener.

"I hope not, I'm supposed be his like, best friend while he's here." he laughed. "I'd be torture if he was cute cause he's probably gonna be straight."

"You neverrr knoowwww." he hated but loved when she talked like that.

The bell to the shop rang and they both looked over, and Roxas's breath hitched.

In walked a tall boy, taller then the shelves. But Roxas couldn't tell if it was his fire red hair that made him appear taller or the unique way it stood up and slicked back. They only got the see the boy's back but Roxas knew he'd remember anyone with that hair.

They hoped off the counter and leaned on it instead.

"Woah, he's new, kinda foreign looking huh? Think he's a tourist?" Kairi whispered she couldn't take her eyes off him either

"yea.. for sure not from anywhere around here.." He watched him go to the drink coolers and pull out some drinks.

Roxas had never seen anyone so skinny or tall ever in his life, let alone anyone with such bright hair. It made Kairi's look like deep whine.

When the stranger was done getting drinks he started wandering around looking at stuff.

"YO Where's the hottest girl on this side of the world!" The familiar voice brought Roxas out of his daze to look over just in time to get his head wrapped in a headlock.

He heard laughing and Kairi shriek her girly shriek. "SORA LET GO!" she laughed.

"Riku let the fuck go!!" Roxas was finally able to get himself free.

A silver haired boy smiled down at him as he hoped back over the counter and leaned his elbows on it. "hey guys." Riku said with a cheeky grin.

Roxas looked over to see Kairi being hugged by a brunette named Sora, he was kissing her neck.

"ugh I don't care if you attack us but don't be gross with Kairi while in the store and on the job." he said as she pushed him off and back over to the side he was supposed to be on.

Sora and he looked almost like twins; that was do to Aerith's sister, Yuna and her husband Zack, who looked like cloud in some ways, just with dark hair.

They constantly had to tell people they weren't related.

"You always have to cause a racket every time you guys come in here?" Kairi tried acting stern but failed when her eyes fell on her boyfriends cheeky grin.

"You know it babe." Sora winked.

Hearing someone clearing their throat they all turned their attention to the boy who had been standing a few feet back from the counter.

Roxas had to keep his composure when he realized it was the red head.

"uhh sorry you want to get those?" Kairi stepped in feeling Roxas was about to combust if he were to ask.

"No actually, Leon and Cloud sent me in to get them. They said garage workers got them free?" His voice was a little low and definately unique compared to the boys in town.

'Definitely not from anywhere near here.' He thought as the red head headed out the door.

"God I can't believe that guy's gonna be working in the garage with them, he so weird." Sora said when he knew the red head was out of earshot.

"Don't be rude Sora!" Kairi hit him a little hard with her book, "You're the weirdest kid I know, you have no right to talk. Beside's he's just from out of town obviously."

"Yea Sora, don't be a D-bag." Riku laughed and went to grab a few snacks.

"Sorry babe, he just gives me the heeby jeeby's." Sora got all cute and kissed her in apology.

Roxas was jealous, he could never watch them together, knowing he didn't have someone to do that with it kind of bugged him.

He often thought about what it would be like with someone. He used to have a crush on Kairi when they were 13, they walked around holding hands, that they were affectionate in that way. But he always felt like it wasn't right for them. They had practiced kissing with each other and there was no 'spark'. There should have been something but there wasn't. Kairi felt the same way. By the time they were 15 Roxas was pretty sure he was gay, he wasn't attracted to girls, and his eyes only seemed to linger on boys. Kairi was supportive ofcourse, and they still walk around holding hands and had sleep overs, even though her and Sora had been together since they were 15. Sora knew about their closeness and it didn't bother him cause he knew Roxas wouldn't be taking her away. He had no idea Roxas was gay or anything but he just knew if Roxas wanted her he would have had her already.

Just once, he wanted to know what if felt like to be young, stupid and in love.

When Riku paid for some of the snacks he had been looking for he and Sora took off to go do whatever it was they had had planned. After that the day just seemed to go by. Roxas could only really think about the red headed boy. When it turned 4pm Kairi hugged him as she was getting ready to leave.

"I'll see you tomorrow? We can catch a movie or something." She said and he nodded smiling back.

They didn't have to work tomorrow since it was both of their day off. He started cleaning up the store and locking the cash boxes.

Another hour past before Cloud and Leon came in the store.

"Hey kiddo it's time to close up the store." Cloud said wiping his face with a wash cloth.

"Got it already." He said walking to the front of the counter. It was only then did he notice the red head was standing there with them.

"Roxas this is Axel, my Nephew of sorts." Leon laughed and gestured to the red head.

"Nice to meet you." Axel said stretching out his hand, and Roxas took it. The handshake lingered a bit, and Roxas noticed.

As they all talked about things Roxas couldn't help but check Axel out. He was alot taller than him, then again he was also older. But Roxas only stood at about 5'6 while he towered at atleast 6'0. His eyes a piercing green, his bright red hair obviously made them appear brighter. His face was lean and his upside down tear drop tattoos fit almost perfectly. Through his shirt he could tell Axel had some pecks that made his torso broader and his waist thinner. Roxas could almost see what he'd look like without a shirt on. His eyes ofcourse wandered down to his pants, specifically his crotch. But he didn't look for long, he did however have to fend off his bodies excitement.

'Fuck he's really hot..' He thought as he tried to contain himself. Little did he know the boy he had been oggling was checking him out as well.

'Damn shorty's fucking bomb.' Was all that was running through Axel's mind as they were talking. His eyes would focus on the boy's lips wanting almost to reach out kiss him right then and there. He had beautiful blue eyes. Leon had giving Axel a short description of the boy but he gave him no justice. He had to look down at him, which was a nice change. The boy was short but had a nice body on him, his fitted t-shirt gave Axel enough to fantasies about. When he got to his pants he wished the boy was wearing better fitting jeans, or better yet nothing at all. 'This is a huge improvement from Zaldin...fuck him.' 

Roxas was almost sure Axel had just checked out his crotch, or at least a whole body sweep. Which is still something no other guy has done to him. 'There's no way he's gay...right?' he inwardly asked himself.

Axel and Leon talked briefly about where Axel had came from, and how he lived with his grandma and older brother in Traverse Town, which was about a 6 hour drive from here. How he loved motorcycles, how he was planning to go to a trade school for engineering. But Roxas noticed lack of either of them mentioning his parents.

When he noticed Cloud looking at his watch he glanced up at the clock and saw that it was now 8pm.

"I think it's best time we head home Rox, your mom probably has food ready." He said and Roxas started heading off to get his bike from the storage room. He could feel Axel's eyes on his ass.

When he returned with his bike by his side they had moved outside, Cloud putting the keys in the door ready to lock it. Roxas hurried out, turning the floor lights off on his way.

"We'll be seeing you tomorrow Cloud, have a good day off Roxas." Leon said getting in his truck.

Roxas climbed on his bike and didn't notice Axel was next to him.

"See ya around Roxas." His cool voice sent a small chill down Roxas's spine.

"Umm ..ah" Roxas dumbly couldn't get anything out of his mouth and Axel stepped in for him.

"Axel, A-X-E-L. Got it memorized?" he all but smirked as he jumped into the back of Leon's truck and they drove off. And all Roxas did was wave, like a idiot.

When he noticed Cloud had already taken off he began his ride home. Even in the dark he knew his way home.

He walked his bike onto to their small porch and went inside. The delicious smell of spaghetti filled his nose. Aerith made the best spaghetti and meatballs. As he sat down with his parents they small talked while they ate.

"Leon really hopes you and Axel become friends, he thinks you'll be a good influence on him." Cloud started as he was half way through his food.

"He seems interesting." That's all Roxas could really say. Whenever Axel's name came up his body would get hot.

Once he was done he excused himself and took his dishes to the sink before he headed up to his room.

Once he was in he closed and locked the door. Shedding his shoe's socks, pants and shirt so he was left in his boxers. He quickly brushed his teeth and laid in bed.

His head was filled with Axel. He didn't even know him well yet but he wanted him. He ran his hand slowly down his chest. He imagined it was Axels, slow and teasing. He slipped his hand under the elastic band of his boxers and grasped his already semi hard penis and stroked it slowly, his breath hitching. It was his own fimiliar touch but the thought of it being Axel's made it feel almost real. Soft moans escaped his lips and he picked up the pace, pushing his boxers down to his knees with his free hand. This was a normal thing for Roxas, he jerked off atleast once a day. He would have trouble sleeping if he didn't.

Imagining Axel's hard toned body naked, touching him, made his toes curl and his back arched as he felt his body getting closer to his goal. In the last few minutes his had sped up and the thing that pushed him over the edge was the imagined sound of Axel saying his name. He was engulfed in his own self-educed orgasim. As his breathing started going back to normal he could feel the liquid running down his abdomen. He sighed and reached over to his nightstand drawer and pulled out a small washcloth and wiped himself off and tugged his boxers back up.

He got under his covers and soon fell asleep going into more dreams about Axel.
