He told me it was just an errand.

They told me she was just a thief.

They told me their port was closed.

She told me I had to make her job easy, without admitting she was incompetent.

He told me justice depended on your rank, and only the knightly got it here.

He told me to take the fort and then to rebuild it with scant help.

He told me I had to succeed at any cost, where he failed.

She told me how to bind the broken.

He told me that he cared for me, even if awkwardly.

He told me he could have cared for me, before I had to raise my weapon against him.

He told me his master would destroy us all.

He told me I could join him and betray everyone I knew.

He told me to hurry as the cavern collapsed on him and everyone was dying.

She told me I was the only one to make it here...

Alone in a dark cavern, lying in a pool of my heart's blood, there was no one left to say anything I cared about. The quest done, and all these people would have to stop telling me what I had to do. The ones that mattered most were all dead now. There was no one left. I'd sent her to find more fresh water somewhere, and I'd remove my ring of healing for my own ending...
