Disclaimer:I don't own Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga or any characters from it. I don't profit in any way from it.

Rating: R for some chapters, but will be NC-17 in later ones.
Setting: Junkyard shortly after Gale’s awakening but before infiltrating the Brute’s base.
Author’s notes: Warning of some spoilers if you have not played the first DDS. There is yaoi in this story so if you don’t like it, don’t read it. I like this pairing a lot so this is just a random little side story that I thought should of happened in the game~ >3.

Everywhere. A world made of dismal ashen grey surroundings. However if one looked hard enough, they could see two small slits of a deep green peering out from one darkened window. It was barely visible even with the installation of dimly glowing rectangles of lights into the many pillars that supported their home base. Muladhara was the only place that the members of the Embryon tribe may find a moment’s peace in this wasteland of death and carnage. Indeed, those slender green orbs, which previously shared that of an unemotional grey, remained within their calm and composed spell. Would any of his fellow comrades believe that a storm was gathering just below the depths of that unfazed surface?

Bits of blood still decorated the fair features of Gale’s cheeks like small splatters of paint that were the remnants of his feeding. Grey armor had been cast aside to one area of his room that lay grey and barren aside from one simple bed. The wall of which was carved with many odd symbols that he himself was still struggling to comprehend. They were the ramblings of many strategic plans that popped into Gale’s ever processing mind in order for the Embryon to win their rights to Nirvana.

The outline of that tall form could be seen within that darkness, peering outside the window. He stood stagnant with only the shell of a black bodysuit that seemed to most adequately define the contours of lean muscle and a slender masculine form along with soft strands of their greenish hue, neatly slicked back away from his features. Oddly enough, he did not have battle tactics on the brain for once but found himself filled with much more puzzling thoughts. Nor did it seem that the sweet coppery taste lingering or the reminiscent feeling of a warm gush of another’s blood sliding down his throat could offer any solace from this.

Not to this newfound hunger that gnawed into his very being, tainting those perfectly logical thoughts of his with strange visions that both delighted and troubled him. Yet, it was a confirmation of sorts that blood and flesh would not sate this craving and that another remedy must be found for this rather strange ailment. Of course, it had not been very long since he had awoken with emotions that were new although vaguely familiar. But this was quite different. When was it that he began to lose hold of that cool, calm rationality?

The single memory of that night could still play out along his mind’s eye very clearly as such was a scene that had been repeated many times since. After the demise of the Wolves that came with Lupa’s unfortunate sacrifice, the Embryon had returned to their base to rest and make new plans for their assault against the Brutes. Gale had offered to scout the Muladhara grounds for any possible intruders although it truly had been an excuse for a little alone time and a bit of fresh air. Dealing with the new emotions that surfaced was still a little hard to grasp for the normally logical male whom knew so little about them.

Despite the ever endless rain that quickly came to soak him, the green haired male did find that time to think alone quite helpful even if he kept gun poised for use with a steady hand and the ever so present surge of the demon waiting just below the surface to be coaxed out to rend and devour at a moment’s notice. As his soft quiet steps barely audible like the touch of a breeze against the stone floor beneath as he crept along, thinking upon Lupa’s death and of the mysterious words that were left behind. Then, just a bit of movement could be seen out of the corner of slender green depths?

Gale all but swiftly took one step back to turn to face this new enemy. He held his gun back carefully against one broad shoulder with one eye closing in order to peer into the scope in order to aim and quickly give the killing shot. That single digit had been prepared to press down on the trigger and fire, but a look of astonishment almost broke the usual unemotional façade, his gun relaxing steadily downward, upon seeing what it was that disturbed him so, or who rather. It was no one other than his fellow sky haired comrade whom had taken the turn to act rather..frivolous whenever the change occurred. It was something that had never comprehended when comparing to the emotionally charged Argilla and the ever impatient Heat.

It was quite the odd and peculiar scene as well. It was one that made Gale quick to touch to slender digits to the bridge of his nose of which had become a habit when the man was deep within thought. Cielo, who had taken no notice of him, was completely unshielded to their dangerous surroundings..stark naked in fact with clothing and armor having been discarded off to the side. It seemed he was allowing the droplets of rain to fall and cleanse his form of the blood that still remained mostly likely from a careless fit of feeding or so he concurred. He certainly could not approve of such an action that seemed rather illogical considering their circumstances.

Nevertheless, the quiet one with his expression still rather free of any given emotion knew that rational thought told him to move along as such a sight held nothing neither new nor curious to see and speculate upon. After all anatomically speaking, Cielo had nothing that Gale himself didn’t already have. Absolutely nothing. But then, why did he stand so utterly transfixed to this sight? Pale flanks of alabaster flesh that almost seemed to glow under the minimal lighting were slowly but surely being cleansed by the rain that cascaded down in glittering pellets, a small pool of red gathering below at the other’s feet. Those hands that had never before seemed so delicate smoothed themselves out along contours of the corded muscles of his abdomen and down along slender toned thighs. He looked so soft..so touchable despite it all. This did not seem at all like the man or demon that he had come to know and fight alongside with.

Indeed, Gale could almost imagine that those hands were his own instead, exploring and touching every inch of that rain glistened body that was just so..beautiful. It was a word that puzzled him just as much as his thoughts at the given moment did. However, no other word could fit the scene any better. Particularly when it came to Cielo’s expression that was not donning that ever present grin but, rather had full pink hued lips parted ever so slightly with eyes fluttered closed. Those sky blue locks were hanging damply about his shoulders like a soft curling curtain. There was a definite ease and delight that emanated from him of obvious enjoyment at this that simply left the stoic one fascinated. No..more than fascinated.

There came to be a curious and ever growing pounding within his chest that was really only felt whenever the transformation into his demonic form overcame him. A shuddering breath expelling softly past his own set of pale lips that he had not realized he was holding. Gale perhaps didn’t even notice when his own pink tongue had swiped ever so slowly across a full bottom lip, speaking in volumes of that growing hunger..one that didn’t involve sharp teeth piercing flesh. There was a gapping void where that hunger seem to mount, leaving him feeling rather strange sensations..a pooling of heat between his own pair of long legs that sent his blood boiling and an ache that pierced so deeply into the depths of his very being.

So much in fact, that even the demon felt the extent of that longing but with the more instinctual state of mind to simply act rather than hesitate and question. It came in the form of a temptation to the male with those now heated and glazed deep green depths that had ever seemed quite so lively before. From somewhere deep inside him, Gale heard the voice of that demon that sounded more like his own, only rough and dripping with..sensuality? Those slender eyes widened just a tinge when it seemed he could feel breathe against the shell of his ear whenever he finally spoke “Why do you hesitate, Gale..? The answer is so very simple. Take him. Claim him as yours alone. Make him yearn for your touch. He is one of the few hidden flowers within this barren world..simply wanting to be plucked.”

Breathing erratic increased causing Gale’s chest to rise and fall more quickly. For the first time so it seemed, he couldn’t even manage to muster up another thought on this odd situation. Not even taking the time to ponder over what a flower may be. Although at the same time, he knew it was something to be greatly treasured. A lightly trembling grey gloved hand began to rise quite slowly towards the zipper on the front of an equally grey garment quite surely with the intentions to begin disrobing himself. It was almost as if the green haired male had fallen under a spell of sorts.

Yet as soon as his fingertips brushed along that cold metal, Gale’s head jerked up with a particular realization while the softest of gasps escaped those lips. That once trembling hand had come to brace against his forehead, fingers pressing lightly into the temple while slender green brows furrowed. That dull emotionless expression finally giving into a more troubled..and frustrated one? ‘What..what is wrong with me?!’ That one last thought came to him, one of such that he didn’t have an answer to. Gale only took one last smoldering glance to the sky haired male who was still ever so oblivious, before he acted on the one thing that his logic fueled mind told him was the right thing to do. That was to run away..and fast. Run before he did something that he might later regret. It took a lot of walking, a lot of devouring and fighting against those odd sensations before that heat came to simmer down a bit.

Although, it still very much alive and present within him..waiting for fulfillment. Enough to the extent that the green haired male had to lightly fill his cupped hands with a bit of cold rain water gathered outside from the window in order to be splashed onto his handsome features whenever his recollection caused those sensations to resurface and creep up along his nerves. Gale had taken to avoiding Cielo as much as possible due to this fact until he could figure out what was wrong with him exactly. Was it mental? Physical?? Did Cielo have a new ability that none of the Embryon had taken notice of? Well, he would make it a point to go test out that theory right away. Gale would take what macca he had on him and head down to the vendor to try out everything.. Dis-Poison, Dis-Charm, Dis-*anything* with the hopes of bringing some relief to these…maddening sensations.

With a new destination and plan in mind, Gale did not even take the moment to put back on any of his armor still only cladded in grey boots and that black body suit to hurriedly make his way to the Vendor with those soft quiet steps of his the only sound to accompany him.

End Chap 1.

Closing notes: Sorry if this seemed to drag on a little too much. The next chapter should go a bit more quickly with interactions with other characters..and of course, more heated encounters between Gale and Cielo~ >3. This is my first time making a fanfic so hope it’s alright and that I portrayed them as well as I could hehe~.
