813

A/N: So earlier today, I noticed that there were 812 stories in the Slash/Yaoi section of the Kingdom Hearts fanfiction archive here on AFF. And it inspired me to write a little drabble about Number 8 and Number 13 to celebrate being the 813th story. I churned it out in about five minutes, but I really had fun writing it.

"Roxas... Roxas. ROXAS!"

"What the hell, Axel? I was reading."

"I just realized something." The redhead hopped over the back of the couch, forcing Roxas to jerk his legs toward his chest to keep them from being crushed by the taller Nobody's weight.

Rolling his eyes, Roxas closed his book, keeping a finger stuck inside so that he wouldn't lose his place. "What is it," he asked flatly.

"This is the 813th story in the Slash section," Axel stated smugly, seeming exceedingly pleased with himself.

"...So?"

"So? Don't you know why that number is important?" Axel's expression seemed to be a mixture of horrified and crestfallen. At the level glare he got from the smaller Nobody, he sighed. "Talk about Blank with a capital 'B.' All right, I'll explain it to you. My number is 8. And yours is 13. Put those together and what do you get?"

"21?" Roxas asked, already getting irritated with this useless conversation.

"No! It's 813! Got it memorized?" Axel shook his head, a long-suffering look on his face as if he were trying to teach advanced Calculus to a Dusk. "So it's fitting that the 813th story is a story about us."

"I see." Roxas set his book aside at that point, stretching his arms over his head. "Well, I'm going to bed." He slid off the couch with catlike grace, sauntering over to the doorway that led out of the library. He paused for a moment and looked over his shoulder, his deep blue eyes smoldering. "Are you coming?"

Axel was at Roxas's side before he could even finish speaking. "Not before you are."
