As soon as she closed in on the green ooze it reacted strangely to her, as if smelling her. It charged toward her, not giving her a chance to lay any damaging spells upon it. She gasped and began backing away while smiting it with holy magic, and her eyes widened when the bones inside it began to form lerching arms with which to capture her.

Kelia had done her research, and now knew the information to be true... Skulks often reacted to the scent of a female humanoid and male humanoid differently. At the same time some of the ooze had invaded her mouth, nose and ears, moving inside her to begin taking control of her mind. Kelia gasped and began crying softly at the invasion, cursing herself for not stopping to eat and checking her blindspots.
