Summary: Jr. feels as if he is slowly starting to fall apart and he refuses to let anyone see him doing so. Chaos is already in a secret relationship with Tony and feels that he can help ease his friend’s pain by helping him to move on with someone else.

Author Note: Y’all wanna know something wonderful? I’m not putting up anymore warnings about my stories being all about the homosexuals. Homosexuals are people and their love is beautiful (as are they). If you don’t like gay people, get yourself educated, or leave this world in haste (snort your purple drink). I don’t care which you choose. If you flame this story, I will use those flames and politely burn away your ignorance and hatred with a lava hot spear of truth (the last time I checked it was a two foot dildo with spikes. Jesus let me borrow it from Satan’s panty drawer). And if you think that was blood chillingly blasphemous, just make me angry.

Prologue

Alone…

That was how he felt, sitting in the hollow darkness with little Alby licking away at his tear stained cheeks. They just seemed to stream endlessly and silently from his blue orbs, shimmering as if from within. He closed his eyes and held his albino puppy to him like a teddy bear.

He missed his brother, his twin. He missed the beating of the extra heart. It was all so terribly quiet. He silently suffered from a pain that would never truly go away.

“Well,” he whispered, kissing Alby on top of his furry little head. “At least I got you.”

The doggy yipped, continuing to try and lick away his salty sadness.

He sniffled. “Do you want to go for walkies?”

Alby barked and wagged his little tail like crazy. He loved walkies. There were so many new things to see and smells to smell, and cats to bark at and chase up trees.

Jr. washed his face in some cool water and put on a big smile. His pain was his own. Let the worlds see his amazing grin. They would never see the tears falling from behind such a flawless and perfect mask.

“If you promise to be nice to the local cats,” the redhead said, opening the door. “I’ll get you nice bone to bury under the rug.” He was thankful that there were no cats aboard the Elsa.

Alby sneezed and darted out the door in a snowy blur. He had spotted a shadow to chase and snap at with his teeth.

“You’re so brave,” Jr. chuckled, running after him.

Chaos rolled over and gently sat up. The blond was softly snoring beside him. He looked at the sleeping pilot and smiled. It was nice to have someone warm to rest and play fun games with under the sheets.

He had had his icy blues on a certain guy with yellow eyes, but Tony had made the first move. The hyper guy had practically jumped him in the park on Second Militia (and fell over a trashcan, landing in the bushes full of hungry briars). He had tried talking with Canaan, but the guy was like talking to a toaster (pun?).

Tony had a mind and he was fun to talk to. He had so many crazy ideas about dates, travel, making lots of money, and falling in love.

Chaos had to laugh. The guy did fall in love (literally). The blond still has the scar on his right arm to prove it.

Tony had jumped him like a rabbit, and after the most awkward confession ever, Chaos had merely smiled (he’d been too stunned to say anything). Of course, he had to stop Tony from trying to hang himself two minutes later. The blond had been carrying rope around in his pocket.

He curled up beside the taller man, feeding off his body heat. Tony mumbled something about dancing monkeys and snuggled closer to him, throwing a possessive arm around him.

Chaos could only imagine what the funny guy was dreaming about. He closed his eyes and smiled into the darkness. Perhaps they could go to a zoo.

“Hey!” A loud voice shouted, followed by barking. “That was my fish stick, Alby!”

Chaos blinked and looked towards the locked bedroom door. It sounded like a herd of robots just went racing by. What in the worlds was going on out there?

Tony continued to softly snore and Chaos rolled his stunning eyes. The blond could sleep through anything.

He decided to play a game and silently descended under the warm sheets. He soon had a mouthful of Tony and the blond was no longer sleeping like the dead.

“This is better than hitting me,” Tony panted, gently squeezing two large handfuls of silky white hair. “This almost makes me not want to continue with snore therapy.”

Chaos teased him with teeth.

The blond yelped.

He could be so mean when he wanted to be.

Jr. watched the twinkling stars with Alby in his lap. He wondered just how many blazing balls of light there really were out there. He even betted that the souls of the dead far outnumbered even them.

“Are you out there somewhere dancing in the dark, Albedo?” He asked the glowing and spinning specks of flame.

His chest tightened and he took a deep breath. Alby whined from his lap, licking his palm with an affectionate tongue.

I don’t blame him for hating me. I would hate me, too. I was a lousy brother. I hate me. I let go of his hand.

Sudden tears stung his eyes and he gasped in pain. Alby jumped from his lap, spinning around to paw at his knees.

I let go of his hand. He trusted me to take care of him. He loved me. He cried for me not leave him. He was jealous for me. He…loved me and I let go of his hand. I let go of his hand.

He shook his head, pulling at his hair, fighting back the tears. They stung like acid.

I let go of his hand.

“I LET GO OF HIS HAND!”

The sound sent Alby running to hide behind a wooden crate. Jr. trembled in terror. Had that terrible sound come from him?

He fell off the crate, landing hard on his knees. Tears streamed like pale fire from his molten orbs.

The starry sky spun and he felt himself tumble over onto his back with a thud. His chest felt as though it was cracking open and Alby was whining beside him. He tried to comfort his little friend but darkness swooped down, swallowing him up.
