Reunited

As the heroes stood on the cliff side watching the sunset, proud that they had done a good job of getting rid of Tabuu. As they stared off into the sunset Lucas looked around the group seeing all the heroes and villains around making some conversation amongst them. The Pokemon trainer caught his attention by putting his hand on his shoulder and smiled.
“See your friend anywhere?” asked the trainer.

As he looked around he caught the site of a red baseball hat and walked up to it and stood still as he saw his friend Ness talking with Luigi and King Dedede. He approached them slowly and his friends looked at Lucas and finally Ness turned around to see Lucas being followed by a boy with a red baseball hat as well. Ness smiled at Lucas and said, “Looks like you missed me so much you replaced me with another guy in a red hat.” Lucas looked behind him and saw the trainer still behind him. Lucas blushed and looked at the ground and shook his head in a negative and looked at his friend.

“This is The Pokemon Trainer. I met him shortly after Wario caught you. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make it look like I would replace you.” Said Lucas looking at the ground again. Ness looked at his friend and walked up to him and lifted his head. “I was kidding. I’m so glad you’re safe.” Said Ness giving his friend a big hug. Lucas blushed and hugged his friend back. The others looked at the two, smiling that they found each other again. Pulling back from the hug Lucas looked at Ness and apologized. Ness looked at his friend in confusion.

“Why are you sorry?” asked Ness holding his friend by the shoulders. Lucas scratched his arm and looked away from his friend ashamed. “Because after Wario caught you I was so scared and I ran away and left you there. I’m so sorry. You saved me from Porky and took that trophy gun for me and what do I do? I run away like a coward and left you there.” Lucas was so ashamed also Ness’ friends were looking at him in shock of his story. Ness looked at his friend. Lucas was shocked when he was pulled back into the arms of his friend with his back being slowly rubbed. “It’s okay. You don’t have to apologize. You’re not a coward. You were frightened, and if you had stayed he probably would’ve caught you too. I’m glad you’re safe, that’s all that matters to me.” Said Ness as he continued to hug his friend with soothing strokes on his back. Lucas and Ness pulled away and smiled at each other.

“So how did you find all of us in Subspace? We were all Trophied and you and your friends managed to find us all?” asked Lucas. Ness looked at his friends and smiled.

“Well King Dedede had these badges on us.” Said Ness taking one out of his pocket. “It managed to release us and we came to find all of you. I could tell you were trying hard because we found all of you all around in Subspace. In fact I should apologize to you. I didn’t expect to see you get trophied. If I hadn’t got caught you wouldn’t have been caught. I should’ve been careful.” Lucas smiled and said, “Its okay. I wanted to find you that was my purpose.” The trainer stepped in and added, “You should’ve seen him. He was looking for you and when we ran into Wario again boy did he get mad, and we fought Wario and won. But when he didn’t see you around, Lucas got sad so we kept on going. He even saved my life. We were in these ruins and this big mecha monster comes crashing through the ceiling and we begin to fight it after we won it grabbed us and out of its head pops a bomb and he takes off into the sky with us with him. Well I passed out, but from what Ike, Marth, and Metaknight say that he PK thundered the Galleoms’ hand and we go flying back down towards the ground. Lucas protected me from when impact was coming but MetaKnight saved us and the next thing I know I am looking at Lucas and we were safe on the ground.” Said the Pokemon Trainer looking at Ness. Ness smiled at him and looked at Lucas. “That’s great Lucas. I’m so proud of you!” Ness shouted and hugged his friend again. Lucas blushed at the attention he was getting from Ness and scratched his head mumbling ‘It was nothing.’

Ness shook his head in a negative. He thought it was cute the way Lucas was so modest. “So what do we all do now?” said a voice from the crowd. Everyone turned to who was talking and Sonic looked around waiting for an answer from someone. “Does everyone have a place to go to?” asked the blue hero again.

“I guess we all go our separate ways.” Stated Ness grabbing Lucas’ hand. Lucas blushed as Ness held his hand right in front of all the heroes.

“I have a thought. Why don’t we all go back to the arena and have a few brawls? We’ll split into teams and see who fights who?” said Sonic giving a big smile. All the heroes agreed and decided that they would meet back at the arena in an hour. After everyone split up and headed out. Ness was talking to Luigi and King Dedede saying that he would meet them at the arena in an hour. After they waved bye to each other Ness turned around to see Lucas starring out at the ocean just smiling thinking about things.

‘So now that it is just me and Ness here what do I do? Should I tell him or wait, but what if he doesn’t like me either? I might as well be brave and tell him.’ Thought Lucas turning around to gaze into dark eyes.

“You know when I saw with the trainer I thought you really must’ve missed me.” Said Ness looking at his friend. Lucas blushed and walked closer to his friend. “I wasn’t trying to replace you. I just ran into him and I thought I would join him so I could find you. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings or give the impression that I was trying to replace you.” Ness cupped Lucas’ cheek so he could star at him and not at the ground.

“I was a little jealous when I saw him so close to you.” Lucas couldn’t believe it Ness was jealous because some other guy was close to him. “He is just a friend and I thank him for helping me find you. I’m not really interested in him anyway. I have a crush on someone else.” Lucas said blushing bright red starring at Ness as his other hand came up to cup the other cheek.

“Who? You can tell me. I’m your friend and I want to know so she knows not to hurt you or break your heart. Because if she breaks your heart, I’ll break her legs.” Said Ness smiling. Lucas chuckled knowing his friend was joking, he hoped.

“Is it Zelda?” asked Ness taking his hands off of his friend and turning around with a hard glaze in his eye. He didn’t want Lucas to see that jealousy was going all over him. He couldn’t stand the thought of anyone being close to Lucas except him. He just wanted to protect the blond boy.

‘I love him, but I want him to have what he wants. All I care about is his happiness.’ Ness turned around and Lucas gave him a stare that made him look like he was going to roll over laughing any minute. “What?’ asked Ness. “Zelda, Peach, Seamus? I don’t like them their too old for me.” Said Lucas smiling to his friend. Ness exhaled, “Okay so is it Nana?” asked Ness looking at his friend this time Lucas couldn’t hold in the hilarity and broke out laughing. Ness starred at his friend as he laughed; he wanted to know what was so funny. But at the same time he couldn’t help but admire the look of happiness on his face it just made him glow. Once Lucas caught his breath he walked up to his friend and put a hand on his shoulder.

“Ness. The person I love isn’t a girl. It’s a boy.” At this Ness blushed looking at his friend waiting for him to continue. Lucas blushed and started staring at the ground again.

“It’s Sonic right? He is fast. I don’t blame you for liking him. But don’t you think he’s a little annoying. I mean he does look like he likes to show off, don’t you think he likes that other guy Shadow was it? They both are fast, and I don’t think I like hi-mph…” Ness’ words were lost when he felt two hands wrapped around his neck. He looked and saw that Lucas was kissing him with a huge blush on his face. Ness couldn’t believe it his crush was kissing him. Ness stopped thinking about it and wrapped his arms around his friend and deepened the kiss. Lucas started to lick and nip at his crushes bottom lip asking for entrance and once he was granted access both started battling with their tongues for dominance. Ness won out the battle and elected a moan from his new, should he say it boyfriend. After a heated make out session both boys pulled away and looked into each others eyes. Lucas was still red in the face and his gaze was distant. Ness chuckled and kissed Lucas’ cheek.

“I love you, Ness. I always have and I always will. Sonic is a nice looking guy but he can’t steal my breath away like you can. I can’t imagine how you got so possessive.” Said Lucas staying in warm arms. Ness smiled and looked at his new boyfriend.

“It started when Pokey bullied you at the Zoo. That oinker is going to get it. So is Wario once we get back to the stadium. I want a rematch, and if he laid a hand on you I’m teleporting him into a volcano.” Said Ness letting go of Lucas. Lucas just chuckled and held his boyfriends hand.

“Well we better get to the arena before the others start to wonder where we are.” Said Lucas.

“Hold my hand I’ll teleport us there. And hold on tight I don’t want you hurt.” Said Ness keeping a firm grip on Lucas. Before they took off Ness kissed his boyfriend again before leaving.

“I love you Lucas. Never leave me again.”

“Never.”
