6:00 news with Jenna Jennings
BLAME MELUSINE FOR THIS! Okay. If you haven't seen the original Cloverfield Monster, google "Cloverfield monster whale." If you don't think of the Lord of Jewels, there's absolutely nothing wrong with you and you should get yourself out of here NOW to preserve your sanity. Amanda and Barrett's was empty that day. It was probably a good thing, too. On the television, the face of Jenna Jennings, the anchorwoman for News Channel 5.76, sat with her perfect hair. She smiled into the camera. "Our top story tonight comes from Manhattan. The giant space whale attacking New York City seems to have been placated by a young woman with sticks in her hair. We'll now speak with Dave, who is on the scene in Times Square in Manhattan, New York."
Jenna's face was replaced with Dave's. He wiped his face of a suspicious white ooze. "Jenna, the woman claims to have a love affair with the creature. Many citizens are hailing her name, others are angry about the goopy disaster you can see behind me." The camera panned to disgusted pedestrians wading through the goo. "While the ending of the destruction is an excellent thing, sanitation workers say they are not happy about having to clean the mess resulting from the woman's actions."
The red face of an angry sanitation worker filled the screen. "I never, ever thought I would ever have to do something so disgusting."
A second worker appeared on the screen. "It's like a Max Hardcore set out here. I've never seen anything like this!...except in a Max Hardcore video. Don't tell my wife."
The camera switched back to the expressionless Dave. "Eyewitnesses tell me the sheer amount of...stuff...released washed away all bystanders. One citizen was washed all the way from Times Square to Central Park."
An irate old woman's face filled the screen. "Back in my day, we just bombed the space whales that came to this city! We didn't perform obscenities with them! I never thought I'd live to see this country fall so far as to engage in carnal relations with filthy space whales!"
Dave's smiling face reappeared. "There you have it. Only in New York, people! We'll keep you updated as we receive more information. This is Dave of News Channel 5.76. Back to you, Jenna."
