My Heart Lays With Them

Roxas sighed softly as he looked out over Twilight Town. He was on his own for once, sitting up on the clock tower. He thought he'd be happy for the solitude, but on his own, he felt absolutely nothing. It was strange. He was used to being able to feel, but without Axel and Xion there, he found that he just couldn't.

So deep in his thoughts was he, that he never noticed Axel and Xion arrive until a blue ice cream bar was placed in his vision. Roxas looked up in surprise at Axel, not even noticing the fact that he was smiling until Xion pointed it out with a quiet giggle. He blinked, then laughed quietly as he took the sea-salt ice cream bar Axel had gotten for him.

The laughter died down fairly fast and Axel and Xion settled themselves on either side of Roxas.

The blond's small smile remained. Maybe grew a little as he came to a conclusion. His heart was with his two best friends. He needed them to feel, and he wondered vaguely if it was the same for the two of them.
