Hope from the Horde

It was raining in Dragonblight. Snow would have been more appropriate she thought in disgust, but it had to be cold rain. It wasn't as if she hated it, rain was a necessary part of the life cycle, and as a Shaman she knew that, but she didn't like it here, falling on the land that looked so diseased from the constant intrusion of the undead. At least there is going to be some release from the rain, she thought, mounting her red drake and letting him know with her thoughts that they were to be on their way to Naxxramus, a new guild had caught her attention, and she had decided to join them in a raid on the floating necropolis. Perhaps, if things went well, she would join. She was tired of having no guildmates and running alone. She was doing a lot of good work, but if she could just find the right guild she knew that she could do so much more.

:Be careful, my friend. Call me when you have need of me again.:

:I will, Rutastranzsa. Thank you for your help.:

She had a hard time using the drake as a beast of burden knowing that he could appear as a lovely High Elf as well. The High Elf appearance at least was manly, unlike the Sin'Dorei that she had seen. Rutastranzsa was quite good looking in his 'mortal' form, and she enjoyed keeping his company. It was only his statement that she was lighter than a feather to his drake-form that had kept her from refusing his service altogether, although he always said that it was the least he could do after her help to his people.

The central chamber was full of people, both Horde and Alliance. She looked around, searching for the group she was supposed to be with, and saw several of them from afar by their guild tabard. She wasn't sure that she liked what she saw, if she was honest with herself. In fact, if she was honest with herself, which she wasn't, she would have realized that she was slightly afraid of these people, both men and elves, who were waiting for her along with a few of their fellows. She hung back for a few moments, and a couple of Horde caught her eye. Both Warriors, to her experienced eye, an Orc and a Tauren. She winked at them on the way by, blowing an impulsive kiss to the Tauren.

They grinned at her, not intimidating at all, and she gathered her courage around her as she walked to the group that was to be her prospective guild. They were summoning the last member of the party as she walked up, a dwarf Paladin. She sighed inwardly, every second she spent close to this group she became slightly more uncomfortable, but she had her honor, and she had committed to this raid.

It's the floating Necropolis of Naxxramus, for Pity's sake. There's only one way to deal with filth like this. To exterminate it.

She sighed, knowing that she was trying to convince herself to do something that her gut was already telling her was the wrong thing. If she had to sit much longer, she decided, she'd tell them she wasn't going to go.

“Come on, goat girl, let's go.”

Well, they weren't exactly the words she'd been waiting for, but at least they were finally getting underway. On her way into the portal, she noticed the Orc and Tauren still there by the summoning stone looking at her with an odd look on both their faces. She almost stopped, wanting to find out the reason for their look, and was gently shoved forward by the person behind her. She hadn't realized that she'd stopped, and trotted forward with the men.
