Midnight Snack

Right, I've been hammering on this one for a while now... as in damn near a year. Fucking literary ADHD. Comments? Complaints? Just want to spout verbal firey death? Button at the bottom, please. You know what to do! =)

Toan gave a heavy sigh as he drug his body up the short flight of steps that marked his home. He didn't quite know how long it had been since he last slept, but the power of the Atlamilla seemed to give him an extra reserve of stamina... of course, nothing comes without a price, and the young swordsman was just now finding the well-hidden price tag for this new-found ability.
Bluntly put? Well, he felt about as wonderful as twice-hammered llama shit.
A weary hand fumbled at the handle before the other joined it, barely managing to muster the force to open the door with a slow, lazy creak. Renee glanced up from the stove, then did an alarmed double-take upon seeing her son shamble in like one of the living dead.

"Toan! Are you all right?" she said, taking long strides across the short room to reach him.
"Yeah, 'm okay, mom," he replied in a quiet, exhausted mutter. "Jus' need a lil' sleep, izzall."
Renee pursed her lips, eying the youth as she decided the best course of action, and relented after several torturous seconds of internal debate. "Xiao?" she called to the upper floor.
The face of the cat- well, she was a cat at one point- poked out from over the railing to her son's "room."
"Could you help Toan upstairs, dear?" the woman asked. It was still strange to her to talk to the cat like this, but after what her son had told her about his excursions in the Divine Beast Cave, she had decided not to argue with the fantastical stories he brought home.

Xiao's large ears twitched for a moment as she peered even further down, then flattened against her head in shock when she saw the state the boy was in. "Master!" she whined, leaping from the second story without hesitation and landing with little more than a quiet, mewling squeak in front of them.
Her green eyes were full of worry as the swordsman leaned on her shoulder, letting her guide him up the stairs one by one. There was some stumbling here and there, and one instance of Toan almost toppling the both of them back down to the floor, but the catgirl managed to avoid that little incident with only one set of gouge marks in the wall.
"Guh, I never realized how much you weigh, Master," Xiao panted as most of Toan's bulk was shifted onto her, the human barely able to hold his legs straight.
"S... sorry," he offered in a weak voice just before the catgirl flopped him down on his bed. She watched as he adjusted his position, not even bothering to remove anything that would normally cause discomfort while sleeping. Little things like that odd hat, his pancho or boots, his dagger... you know, little things that most people wouldn't like to leave on while tossing and turning.
"Good night, Master," she said, hoping he wasn't too far gone.
"G'nigh', Xiao," he managed to mumble back in a half-coherent drawl, dropping into slumber as soon as the words left him.

----------

Xiao was more than a bit worried. Toan had slept like a sack of bricks for a day and a half solid, only waking up by the barest of margins to ask for a glass of water every now and then. The catgirl had stayed nearby the whole time, sitting in a chair and reading some of his books, and kept several bottles of tasty water on hand for the both of them.
When the next night began to fall, Xiao decided that she'd rather not sleep in the chair again; waking up with a gargantuan crick in one's neck and sore muscles all over tended to shape such opinions.
She waited for several minutes before impatience set in and she started poking Toan in the ribs- gently, of course, due to her claws- until his sleep-depleted brain registered the action and he rolled onto his left side, pressing close to the wall; Xiao had removed the dagger from his belt earlier that day, so nothing caught on the sheets. Glad for the space, the catgirl moved the swordsman's legs a little bit more, then curled up into a ball at the foot of the bed.

It was several hours into the night when a gurgle awoke Xiao, popping the catgirl's eyes open at the familiar twinge of her stomach's desire for fish.
That's weird. I only get like this when I actually SMELL fish...
She stretched just a little and lifted her nose, sniffing the air with quick breaths. Sure enough, her fine-tuned senses pulled an oddly marine scent from the air nearby. Sitting up a little more now, the catgirl's eyes and nose led her over to the still quiescent form of Toan. Xiao crept along the bed, nosing her way around for one of her favorite dishes with the hurt thought that somehow the boy had made some without letting her know.
Her keen nostrils probed the air, leading her further and further down the bed, and locking in on... his... pants?
Huh? She wrinkled her nose in confusion. Since when did he keep fish down there?

Thanks to her feline eyes, Xiao didn't need any more than the soft moonbeams to probe around, poking at the pants and almost pressing her face against them in her search. The peculiar smell got stronger as she moved to the front, so the catgirl naturally rolled her master over to his back again. What she didn't expect was having her face pressed square against the source of her nighttime hunger pains.
Xiao was almost worried that Toan had another dagger stashed in his slacks, but a cautious prod proved it to be hard and fleshy. Confused beyond measure, but determined with hunger, the catgirl began to untie the swordsman's belt/sash with deft fingers. Laying it open, she wiggled the pants down with an odd sort of impatience, struggling to get them over the bulge without waking Toan.

The catgirl moved her head just in time, as the spring-loaded erection snapped back into place right where one of her eyes would have been scant seconds earlier. Xiao's eyes widened in surprise at the sight, and grew even more when her nose tingled in its direction. It was a fishy sort of smell; that wasn't quite, but wasn't quite not fish, like it had been left in a box for a day or so. Still, to a starving cat, fish was fish, and she didn't hesitate to take a lick, just to check the taste. Her tongue ran up the side, grazing the head before she lifted off, then let her cat-senses pick the flavor apart.
Hmm... salty, a little bitter... like low-grade tartar sauce, she decided, smacking her lips a bit. So far, it was bad tartar sauce on bad fish.
Apparently, that sort of math just didn't add up right and proper in her stomach.

Hungry, irked, and curious, Xiao shuffled around to a good position, laying her head in Toan's lap, and decided to keep licking at this... well, whateverthehell she was staring at, until she got fish. She moved it a few times with her hand, just to check, then began lapping at it again, a little slower this time to try and get more flavor out of it.
Xiao didn't notice something leaking out of the tip until she tasted it running down the side of the appendage; still salty, but a little less bitter, like a decent fish with the same bad tartar sauce. Moving some more to place her head directly below the pseudo-fish stick, she now focused on the underside, licking from the base to tip, and staying for several moments, suckling the fluids out when they began to dribble out.
Something else other than Xiao's stomach was starting to stir, however; for one, there was an odd feeling, a flutter of heat catching within her groin; for two, the sensations were starting to get through to Toan's slowly waking brain.

The catgirl continued for several minutes, though failing to accomplish much with the half-aware specimen she was working with; still, her hunger was the force driving her to get something, anything out of this.
Well, that's she thought, anyway.
In all of her stubborn determination, Xiao did not hear the first stirrings of the swordsman, nor notice the subtle change in his breathing or posture. But when he gasped and shot into a sit like a man on fire, the catgirl pulled back in shock, her bell making a small commotion with the movement.

"Xiao, wha... what the hell are you doing?!" Toan demanded in a shocked whisper.
She winced in response, shrinking back a little into a half-ball. "Master, I'm sorry, I just, I... I smelled fish," she mewled back, just as soft as he was, only in a hurried pace. "And I get hungry when I smell fish, so I looked around and smelled it on you, and, a- and I started to lickandohpleasedon'tbemadatme..."
Toan looked at her, his eyes still adjusting to the light, and saw the pathetic, frightened look on her face, and sighed. "I'm not mad at you, Xiao," he told her, shifting his pants back up and tucking his bits in, and not seeing the pout on the catgirl's face from it. "It's just that..."
"Just that what?" she asked, still hiding behind his feet.
The human sighed. How would he explain that he'd been having dreams, awkward dreams about her the whole time? "Well, you... caught... me at kind of a weird moment," he finally settled on.

"Oh," Xiao said, dropping back to the sheets and looking around.
Toan gave an internal sigh of relief. The last thing he needed was-
"Master?"
"Hmm?"
She poked his still-solid erection. "What exactly is that?"
The swordsman felt his body lock up. "Er... wh- what d- do you mean?" he stammered, his voice dropping back down to a mutter.
The catgirl scooted up, eying it with a rapt expression. "Well... it's a part of you, but... it tastes like fish," she told him, finally looking up. "And I'm still hungry," she whined.
Toan was feeling very uncomfortable. "Well, I don't quite know what to tell you-"

In a flash, Xiao had frowned and tugged the human's pants down again, and resumed licking the shaft.
"Gah! X- Xiao, would you knock it off?!" he whispered firmly, pushing her face a little.
The usually subservient part of her personality had taken this opportunity to make a preemptive exit, leaving only the demanding "me, my, mine" side of his pet to do the talking. The ever-present cat grin had melted into a coy half-glare of steely determination as she sucked on the head of his shaft.
"What would you do if I don't, Master?" she purred, letting her hand stroke the length. "Besides, it's not hurting you, is it?"
"Well," he blurted out, a furious blush forming on his face, "your tongue's still pretty rough-"
She flashed a triumphant grin. "Oh, I can get around that." The catgirl used one of her booted feet to ease Toan's upper body down a little. "Just relax, Master," she told him. "I'll make it good for you."
The human gulped, then sat up again, locking her eyes wth his, which had become much easier now that the clouds outside had parted for the moonlight. "For the love of all things, please stop!" he told her in a furious whisper from his grimace.

Xiao looked at him, glaring, determined not to let this opportunity slip away. So, an evil, evil thought crossed her mind, causing her to grin and Toan to worry. Lifting her free hand, she swatted, hard, at the bell that hung on her neck.
"Xiao? Is everything alright?"
She felt the swordsman's body tense to an impossible level at the sound of his mother's worried voice. With the same cruel grin plastered to her features, she turned her head to the railing.
"It's okay, my bell just got caught," the catgirl replied.
There was a murmur of assent from below before the house's other occupant returned to sleep, and the conniving cat's gaze returned to her master, who was sweating bullets and looking as if he were stuck between wishing to scream in fury or fright... or perhaps both.
His mouth moved, but no words escaped as he formed, "You evil, wicked, insensitive little-"
"Now, now, Master," she whispered back, laying him down again, "I don't want to scare you off. So just sit back and relax," she mewled with a sweet and husky tone that resonated with the vague threat she carried.

Sit back, that was easy... but relax? At a time like this!? Toan thought that Xiao had lost her ever-loving mind as she began to work his length again, nuzzling against it with her smooth face, taking tentative licks as she stroked it. True, he didn't entirely disagree with the idea, but nothing would change the fact that he was getting sucked off by his cat... who also happened to be a faithful ally, adventuring partner, and dead aim with a slingshot, but still, his cat!
Paige would probably kill the both of them if she ever found out about this.
As if feeling the unease in the air, Xiao removed her mouth from him and shifted her position, laying parallel on top of his chest, so as to speak and work at the same time. "What's wrong, Master?" she asked, her voice weighted with genuine concern once more.
The human squeezed his eyes shut, hoping, praying that this would all be some kind of bad fever dream from his exhaustion.

His skin registered the catgirl's release of his member and the further moving of her weight as she laid down beside him, draping an arm and leg possessively over his body, her breath, warm and moist, along the side of his face.
"Master?" she whispered again, the worry in her voice building.
Never lucky when I need to be...
"I'm not sure I want you to do this, Xiao," he told her, still keeping his eyes closed. He could feel her eyes narrow, trying to burrow a hole in him with their laser beams of death that he knew she was shooting at the side of his head right now.
"I don't believe you," she retorted, "and I'll tell you why." Her breath was blowing directly into his ear now, which Toan knew she was doing on purpose. "I've seen the way you blush when I hug you, when I nuzzle on you..." and she rubbed her forehead into the crook of his neck for emphasis.
"I can feel you watching me in the dungeons, Master, and I know exactly what you're keeping an eye on," she whispered, taking his hand and placing it square on her rump, and delighting in the fact that he tensed up again. "Maybe not all the time, but it still counts. And sometimes, I can hear you moaning my name in your dreams... just a little..."

Toan shivered as the honeyed voice blew heated and thick into his ear, then gasped as she nibbled at it. She'd nailed him, and he didn't even know that he had done half of the things she said; with the exception of eying her butt, which was admittedly firm and round, they were all uncontrollable reactions on his part. "Xiao, do you really think I did all that on purpose?" he shot back in a harried mumble.
The catgirl drug her semi-abrasive tongue up the side of the lobe before answering. "Mew... well, not all of it... but enough," she cooed, running her hand up the front of his shirt with care, pushing aside the patterned pancho as she went, and rubbing her palm on his chest gently. "If you tell me to stop, Master," she purred, "I will."
Torn between the better, chivalrous part of his mind demanding he shut this down right now, and the more realistic side telling him that this would eventually happen anyways, the swordsman was at a total loss for words. The only thing the reminded him was Xiao's constant plying of his body, urging his decision, and a dull reminder after his time in the Divine Beast Cave. A realization had been taking shape in the boy's brain after all that time below ground, fighting for so many other lives than just his own; sometimes, you only get one chance.
Toan didn't answer, per se, he simply tightened his grip on the catgirl's rear.

Xiao's face lit up when the hand squeezed, her head lifting to look her master in the face. He wore an odd expression, one of acceptance and resignation, it seemed, but there was something longing under it that she could only see by a slim margin, an emotion whose name evaded her.
She smiled, her eyes losing focus for a moment as joy welled up inside her, and slipped off her bell, placing the ornament on the bedside table, silent as a ghost. The human watched her, curious, then his eyes went wide as the catgirl descended once more, closing her lips onto his.
She kissed him with a desperate passion, her tongue driving into his mouth without effort and swirling about. Toan did his best to pull her face off of his for just a moment, all while making feeble attempts to return her actions, and held her head for a moment when she relented.
"Slow down?" he offered, his features mixed with exasperation and surprise.
"Mew... sorry," the catgirl returned, a shy blush creeping up on her.
The human gave her a half-smile and reached up to her head, petting her behind the ears. "It's okay... I just don't really know what I'm doing," he told her.
Xiao's eyes closed in a traditional "lucky cat" expression as she informed the swordsman, "That's fine, Master. I have an idea!"

Toan was stunned for a moment before the catgirl leaned down on him again, breathing heavy. "Just follow my lead, Master, and you'll be fine," she purred at him, pressing her lips to his once more, and tilting her head to the side in the same motion. She waited for the swordsman to open his mouth, then slipped the tip of her tongue inside, running it along his own in an attempt to coax it out.
The human, still hesitant, moved with a slowness born from self-conscious ineptitude, but followed suit nevertheless as instinct began to take over, pressing forward into the catgirl's mouth as well, still petting her absent-mindedly. Xiao moved her left hand in response, lifting it to his face to run a thumb along his cheek for added leverage. Their tongues clashed against each other, feeling out the strange places in one another's mouths, taking care not to harm (in Xiao's case) or be harmed (in Toan's).
They parted by a slight margin, and both moved their heads, kissing and suckling on each other's lips with a gentle sort of fervor, hands now roaming along their faces and through hair. Toan was panting with adrenaline-laced anticipation, not unlike the time the two of them squared off against Dran, but the encounter with Norune's crazed guardian didn't leave him anywhere close to this painfully aroused.

"Xiao," the human asked during a brief lull in activity, "where did yo-mph!"
The catgirl cut him off by diving into his mouth once more, lashing her tongue around in his mouth to fight his meek protests, even as he began to return the gesture, wrapping an arm around her waist to hold her, pulling her in with the other hand anchored on her neck.
When they next came up for breath, Toan moved his hand to hold her chin, and asked again, "Where did you learn this stuff?"
"Mew, I'm a stray, remember? I've been a few places, Master," she purred back.
"Then," he continued, a smirk spreading on his face, "why were you asking what this was?" He emphasized the point by grinding his erection against her groin, feeling a small sense of victory at the heat down there and the yelp Xiao stifled.
"Ah! I'd never seen one before, honest!" she cried, wriggling her hips at him.
Toan's smirk turned kindly and soft. "So, instinct, then?" he asked, leaning up to nibble on the base of the catgirl's ear.
Xiao's stomach growled in response, causing both of them to glance down at it. The catgirl looked back up, grinned, then pushed her master back against the bed and shuffled down to his legs.

A soft gasp escaped the human's lips as she wrapped her hand around the shaft, stroking it with long, languid motions, placing licks, kisses, and very gentle bites on the tip. One of Toan's hands glided down, lacing itself in her short, tomboyish hair, petting her gently like an over-eager housecat, moving with her as her head began to bob on his cock.
Xiao began so suck in earnest now, using the underside of her tongue every so often to try and balance things out, and placed both her hands on her master's hips for stability. The swordsman bucked, breathing heavy, and the catgirl pulled on his pants, dragging the fabric down past his knees and releasing his sac to the tepid desert air.

She released her oral grip on Toan's member and shifted her weight, moving one hand underneath his testicles and kneading them gently, always mindful of her talons. She let the nails graze along the skin, teasing him just a little, then switched again, her hand shooting down to dive into her shorts. The human saw her tail twitch violently, heard the moan stifled by his erection, and felt the heat and noise shuddering on his skin.
Xiao's fingertips rubbed along the outer lips of her tunnel, gathering the moisture she had produced, and felt her master rub just behind the base of her ears. Her tail curled with pleasure, then bolted once more when her fingers bumped the hyper-sensitive bundle of nerves near the top of her slit.
Seeing the catgirl convulse was all it took to push Toan to the edge. He gripped Xiao's shoulder tightly and gave a shuddering gasp in warning that something was about to happen. She managed to look up, her lips still wrapped around his cock, just before he exploded within her mouth.

The first spurt of seed surprised Xiao more than a little, but she managed not to let it get down the wrong pipe. The human's hips surged again, releasing another jet of semen into her waiting throat, and the catgirl decided she liked the thick, heavy-tasting stuff that was pouring out. She resumed sucking, moving her head just enough to try and coax some more out of her master.
She let the next two pool in her mouth before pulling away to swallow, and the fifth weak streamer painted her cheek as she moved, tilting her head back to slide the salty, pungent liquid down her throat. Toan watched her, enthralled, she the catgirl had a moment of quiet grace; eyes shut and contented, a slight smile tugging at her lips, and... well, the white splotch on her face did ruin it, as did the lusty glance she shot him when she came to.
"Hmmm, that was great, master," she mewed. "I never thought you tasted so good."
She nuzzled against the swordsman's chest, pulling one of his gloved hands down to her shorts and squeezing it with her legs.
"My turn?" she asked with a honey-sweet tone.

The swordsman propped himself up on his elbow, leaned forward, and planted a feather-light kiss on her forehead before pulling her face close to his as he flopped back down. Cautious, he rubbed the spot she'd indicated, and received a soft moan right into his ear, causing his body to tense once again.
Xiao ran her abrasive tongue along the edge of her master's lobe again, making a soft purring noise, and tugged on the waistband of her shorts. Toan got the hint and moved both hands down and sliding them away when the catgirl shifted her weight, leaving them at her thighs. A musky smell snaked its way up the bed to Toan's nose, which he recognized when his pet framed his head in her hands and kissed him again.

When Xiao pulled away, she glanced down at Toan's gloves, silently asking they be removed with a raise of her eyebrows. The human pulled the both of them off in an instant... then stopped, and cast a quick, worried glance at the back of his left hand.
Luckily, the Atlamilla was still there. He sighed, not really caring how the thing had phased through an inch or so of leather without harming it... he had other priorities to take care of.
The human's right hand darted down again, tracing the outer edge of the warm, moist lips, trying to figure out what to do as the catgirl puffed heated breath over his face, moaning softly in anticipation. She tilted her hips back and forth, trying to urge the swordsman on, and finally hit gold when a digit slipped in between the folds and brushed her clit again.
Xiao jumped a bit, gasping, then grinned.
The human glanced over at her, a smile forming on his own face. "There?"
"Mmm-hmm," came the sultry reply.

Toan drug the finger along it, tortuously slow, letting his hand get familiar with the area as best he could, while Xiao wriggled with impatience, rubbing her crotch against his palm and mewling in impatience.
"Okay, okay," he muttered with a grin, running two fingers along the soaking cleft from top to bottom until he stopped at the sensitive nub. She cooed at the feeling, a soft, wet sound emanating from her hips with every movement of Toan's hand. He moved the other hand to her neck, pulling the catgirl in for a quick kiss in an effort to keep her silent.
Xiao was panting, the moonlight showing the blush that was creeping up into her face. She leaned close to the swordsman's ear and muttered, "Inside."
Toan obliged, moving the fingers away and pushing them through her folds with no resistance, the catgirl suppressing a moan as he worked her throbbing slit. A chance twitch of his finger to the roof of her tunnel made Xiao seize up, giving her master an approving look, and drug her tongue along his cheek.

Toan smiled at her, nibbled at her neck, and slithered down her body, pushing the black shorts down her legs and slipping them off of one. The catgirl's face almost glowed when she realized what he had planned, and opened herself immediately, gasping when the human set his lips to her crotch. Her hands shot down, pulling the hat away so she could run her hands through his hair, choking back moans as her master's tongue danced around her pearl.
Another yelp was forced down as the human's fingers entered her again, teasing the patch of sensitive flesh inside of her. Xiao was doing what she could to keep herself from making too much noise, but her heavy, quick pants, delighted pawing, and bucking hips were failing to convey her pleasure. Simply put, she couldn't take it for much longer.
She slipped one hand under Toan's chin, pulling his face off of her. "Master," she whispered in desperation, "I- I'm..."
The swordsman nodded, pulling himself back up the bed and locking her in a deep kiss, still teasing her innards as she moved one of her own clawed hands to rub herself. He could feel her still trying to repress her moans, shuddering as she was, making a vain attempt to hold out as long as she was able.

It didn't last for very long. Toan felt her walls clench tightly, her entire lower half quaking in the most delightful manner as he smothered the cute noises in her mouth, kissing and fingering her through the whole of her orgasm. When she flopped back down to the bed, exhausted and satiated, the human moved down to her legs again, lapping up some of her essence before pulling her clothes back on and kissing her again.
"Good enough?" he asked, laying next to her.
Xiao gave him a weak smile. "Yeah... thank you, Master," she murmured. "Mind if I sleep here?"
Toan didn't know what he was feeling for her. It wasn't quite love- he didn't know if she'd still be here when the world was rebuilt, after all- but there was something there. He nodded, pulling her close, and smiled as she drifted off in an instant.

Sighing, he realized that this was probably going to get horrendously complicated before all was said and done.
