Organization Rebirth
Author Note- This is a draft version of a story idea I am working on with a friend of mine
Constructive criticism is welcomed- flammers can just move along
On a normal day in the World That Never Was, things were going on as they always had since the epic battle between Xemnas and Sora. The Nobodies that were left- and there would always be some as long as there were heartless, and there would always be heartless as long as people had darkness in their hearts- they kept to their normalcy. However, without the Organization to control and command them they wandered aimlessly, with no direction and often times attacked random targets and even each other.
So it was on such a day that a small squad of three Samurai Nobodies were patrolling one of the alley ways near the Castle, when one of them suddenly started to act very strange. It’s movements became wobbly and unsteady, its limbs started to twitch and shake. Suddenly, a black aura covered it, wrapping it in darkness. When the cloud cleared, a more humanoid figure, cloaked in black, stood there. Drawing the katana at his side in one swipe he slew the other two nobodies, removed his hood and turned, making his way into the castle and to the throne room of Organization XIII.
Brushing the long wisps of black hair from his face he looked around as he stood in the middle of the big, obviously empty throne room. Thirteen tall white thrones circled the room. He wandered around gazing up at the thrones for a moment.
“Hey! I finally made it to the Organization! Hey! Roxas? Axel? Yo Demyx? Mansex.. I mean Xemnas? Where the hell is everyone?”
His own voice echoed in the room and as the last reverberation faded he grinned, hurrying over to the tallest throne in the room and scrambled to the top. Sitting there he laughed as he sat back and looked at the thrones below him.
“Hummm this is nice” he said rubbing his hands together. “This is very nice!”
He sat there for a while as the silence grew deafening and he sighed.
“Damn it all… its too quiet. I’m bored. I need friends.”
In one of the many corridors of the Castle, there was a great skirmish underway, not against nobodies and heartless, but nobody against nobody. A squad of assassins, driven by the lack of guidance and the sheer repetition of their routines without their commanding Organization member, had resorted to attacking each other.
As it was- the “leader” of this particular group had the upper hand, even as the remaining three assassins started closing in. A strange aura, black with wisps of an eerie blue, enveloped the assassin, leaving in its place a hooded figure, cloaked in black. Bright red hair peeked out from the hood that shrouded his face in shadows. Long curved blades appeared on the arm guards he wore. With a grin the figure faded, seeming to disappear into the floor, only to appear behind his former team members, finishing them in a surprise attack, leaping into the air and coming down on them from behind. Landing on one knee he grinned as the hood fell back from his face. Standing and brushing himself off, he made his way down the hallway and stood outside the door that lead to the great throne room of Organization XIII.
Swinging the tall white doors open he was surprised to see the throne room empty save for a solitary figure seated on the tallest throne. He walked in, the red locks falling over the right side of his face. His footsteps echoed loudly in the quietness and he stopped before the only other soul in the room.
“And who might you be?” the figure asked with a laugh from his seat high above.
“I could ask you the same thing. I may have never met them myself, but I know without a doubt you are not Xemnas, Demyx, Roxas… and you sure as hell are not Axel.”
“Really your intellect is stunning.”
“So, I ask again. Who are you?”
“I am Shibuxdo, of the Samurai. And again I ask you- who are you?”
“Xashtou. Of the Assassins.”
Silence hung for a moment.
“So what happened here? Where is everyone?”
“I have been pondering that very thing myself- and I have come to the only logical conclusion. Organization XIII no longer exists. They are gone. Faded away. They were defeated.”
“That’s not possible!” Xashtou cried out as he took a few rushed steps towards the throne. “Axel couldn’t have been defeated!”
“Use your brains- you managed to make it to become a full Nobody- so put it to use! How long has it been since you received a command from Axel?”
“Umm… well… I…”
“I’ve kept count for Roxas… it’s been a year and a half. A year an a half of wandering, having no direction and no purpose… They are gone.”
Shibuxdo jumped down from the throne and landed in front of Xashtou, the hood of his coat falling back, revealing his face. The two Nobodies stood facing each other for a moment.
“We are the Organization now. The birth of new higher class Nobodies proves it. We are to continue on, continue what we have been searching for- Kingdom Hearts. Xemnas and the others tried to find it but were unsuccessful. It is now our turn to try for that golden prize.”
“Wait a minute, who elected you the supreme voice?”
Shibuxdo grinned and laughed as he fingered the hilt of his katana.
“I did. And it’s not like there is anyone here to stop me.”
“And if I decide to stop you? If I decide I want that power for myself?”
“Well then, I would have to kill you.”
“I’d love to see you try,” Xashtou taunted as he crouched into a fighting stance, the bladed arm guards appearing as he grinned at Shibuxdo.
“Oh wow, very impressive” he replied sarcastically as he drew his white katana and grinned. “But not impressive enough!” he cried as he charged.
The red head smirked and side stepped the charge- barely- this one was faster than he had anticipated. With a laugh he phased out, disappearing into the floor.
“Oh that is a nice trick,” Shibuxdo said as he circled around, trying to sense his location.
“Thank you” Xashtou said as he dropped out of the ceiling and landed behind him. In a flash he grabbed him from behind, arm around his neck, the smaller arm guard blades inches from his throat. “We assassins pride ourselves on it.”
“No doubt, there is good reason you should. However…” Shibuxdo smirked as he phased out, Xashtou staggering forwards slightly as his arms gave way to emptiness. “You are not as good as you may think.”
In a flash Shibuxdo had his blade drawn, the white blade streaking out as the tip grazed Xashtou’s back, tearing the coat, leaving a thin red line across his back.
Xashtou dropped to one knee, gasping slightly. Looking over his shoulder he wiped his mouth and grinned as he stood.
“It seems I have met my superior… at least, for now.” He turned and faced Shibuxdo and gave a slight bow. “I would be honored to join with you.”
“I like a man who thinks for himself and tests things for himself. Welcome.”
Xashtou nodded and brushed himself off.
“So, what now? We gonna try and continue the Organization’s goal of finding Kingdom Hearts?”
“Of course, but there’s one problem. There are only two of us genius!”
“Did someone call for a genius?”
The two Nobodies turned and stared at the stranger who had just entered the throne room at that exact moment.
