Blame it on the Rain

Well, considering I don't really write fics all that much (I mostly just roleplay) this is quite a little feat for me. I guess you could call it my first Kingdom Hearts fiction, and most definitely my first stab at writing Axel. I've done Riku before, but Axel is a bit more challenging. Dunno why~

Anyways, basic concept for this: Riku is a rockstar, Axel isn't, they met, it was love at first sight, and they can't stand being away from each other longer than it takes to run to the bathroom. In the future, it is planned for them to have a break-up, so I thought I'd let them have one last little bit of fun before that happened. So, please enjoy and if I get enough feedback, I might just continue writing. And more than just RPs. =)

With a small gasp, his arms raised above his head as drops of rain began to fall. Aqua-marine eyes moved over to look at the older, red-headed man standing beside him. Instead of an expression of disappointment, Riku saw that Axel was smiling. Then, he took his hand and began running, pulling the teen along with him, towards a small wooden house that was partially hidden by the large, sandy dunes nearby.

"Now our date is ruined..." Riku sighed, his own disappointment clear in his voice as they entered the one room house. As he looked around, taking in his surroundings, he shook out his hair and did the same to his clothes, ridding them of any stray drops of water that hadn't absorbed already.

"I wouldn't say that." Axel replied, ringing out his own hair briefly, before stepping up behind Riku, his strong hands taking his hips gently as he leaned down to kiss his boyfriend's neck. Without even thinking, Riku sighed and smiled softly, leaning back against the taller man with his eyes closed, "In fact...I think I like this better..."

Riku couldn't help but laugh softly. He then began to giggle as Axel's lips moved over his neck, trailing feather-light touches across the sensitive skin.

"Is that all you can think about?" Riku giggled, tilting his head to look up at the older man, his bright eyes glinting with a smile. Axel smirked, then gave a fake pout, bringing a short chuckle from his silver-haired lover.

"Its not my fault you're just so damn hot."

"Then you would prefer that I was ugly?"

Immediately reaching up, Axel took Riku's chin in his fingers and tilted his head back again, aqua meeting green before the elder of the two took his lover's lips passionately. Sighing and practically melting against Axel, Riku reached back with one hand to hold the back of Axel's head, fingers digging into his thick, fiery tresses. Several seconds later and Axel slowly pulled back, but not before running the tip of his tongue along Riku's plush, quivering lips. He left the teen panting softly, eyes still closed, and his fingers still lost in his boyfriend's hair.

"You ever change, and I will leave you..." Axel whispered, running his fingers over Riku's cheek, then down his neck and chest, shooting shivers up the teen's spine, "You're gorgeous, and that'll never change...know what else will never change?"

Riku, finally opening his eyes, looked up at Axel with a slightly misted gaze. He gave the smallest shake of his head, waiting to hear what else wasn't going to change.

"The way I feel about you..." Axel continued, his hand moving further down as he spoke, "I will always love you. You're the love of my life...there will never be anybody but you..." The more Axel spoke, the more Riku was afraid he wouldn't be able to keep his eyes dry, "I've loved you for so many years...the first time I heard your voice coming through my car stereo...I knew there would never be anyone else..."

Lip trembling, Riku stared into Axel's eyes, his fingers tightening where they held his hair.

"I don't deserve you..." He whispered, keeping his voice low so as not to give away how close to tears he was. Axel merely smiled and wrapped his arms a bit tighter around his lover's waist, pulling him back closer and pressing his forehead against Riku's temple.

"I might say its the other way around, but we won't get into that argument..." Axel said, smiling against Riku's hair before he pressed a few tender kisses into the silvery strands. Riku smiled as well, leaning fully into Axel, falling into that perfect fit they had, that he still marveled at.

"Never leave me..." Riku whispered, tilting his head and speaking against the underside of Axel's chin. He tugged softly, pulling Axel's head down so their lips brushed, but didn't quite touch.

"I won't..." Axel breathed, speaking right against Riku's lips.

Fingers trembling, one hand clenched in Axel's hair, the other laced with the red-head's own hand, Riku panted heavily. Axel loomed over him, his own body heaving, and glistening with perspiration in the dim light of the room. His gaze was half-lidded as he looked down at his younger lover, pieces of his hair sticking to his forehead and temples.

Leaning down, Axel closed his eyes as he pressed his lips to Riku's, a long sigh escaping him as he kissed his boyfriend lovingly. Both bodies were spent, trembling, heaving, and exhausted. They could do nothing now but hold each other, since they had energy for little else.

"I love you..." Riku breathed once their lips parted. With his legs still framing Axel's hips, the red-head still deep inside him, he gazed up at the other. His aqua gaze admired him silently as he ran his fingers through Axel's hair and caressed his shoulder and arm with the other hand.

"I love you more..." Axel breathed, finally lowering to sink gently against Riku, his head coming down to rest against his shoulder. Riku smiled tiredly as he stroked his lover's hair, lips then pressing against his head to linger there for a few moments in a long, tender kiss.

Within minutes their breathing returned to normal. Their bodies eased back into a gentle rhythm, and Riku could only sigh contently and run his fingers slowly through Axel's hair as he listened to the distant sound of rain drops on the roof.
