The Fake Girlfriend
By the way *...* means this is what Jen's thinking
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jen Harper lay back against the bus seet. Her glance flicked down to her wrist watch. *He's late.* She pulled her mobile out of her back pocket and checked for any messages. None. She concidered chucking the phone at something. *But that would just be pointless wouldn't it.* She growled as she stuffed it back into her pocket.
She'd been at Bullworth two weeks now. And she'd hated the place at just a glance. It wasn't her fault she just wasn't any good at... well just being good. Her previous schools hadn't understood her, and she could tell this one was going to be as bad as all the ones before it. Her mother was clutching at straws, hoping Jen could be the sweet, loving, devoted little snubnosed bitch Anna had turned out to be, Jen's stupid little half sister. At home it was all Anna this and Anna that. She'd got so tired of it, she'd almost smashed every window and precious object in the house. That was when her step-father had wanted her out. That was when she'd started going to any bording school that would have her. That was when her life realy took a nose-dive.
Jen stretched and yawned, *he's two hours late. I guess he's not coming* She stood and shook out her legs. She'd tried to keep warm on the old run-down school bus, but the fact that half of itwas open to the elements didn't help. "You waited." Jen started and looked around to see the boy. He'd been standing in the shadows but Jen was supprised she'd missed him. "I waited." She said slowly, "You asked to meet me I'm here. And you kept me waiting. You shouldn't do that unless you want a girl pissed." Gary Smith stepped towards her, a snide smile twisting his lips. "I'll remember that." He laughed. Jen sat back down on the seet she had just vacated. Gary moved to sit next to her on the bench seat but Jen swung her legs up onto it. The smile slid from Gary's face. "What do you want Gary?" Jen glared at the boy that stood before her. "I'm impressed." The boy sniggered quietly, "Here what? A week? And you know my name, I'm flattered." That sick smile of his was back again. Jen snorted and looked up at him her head cocked. "Don't think you can scare me, you son-of-a-bitch. Your reputation for screwing with peoples' heads precedes you. Now hurry up, I've been here for two bloody hours." Jen stood and squared up against Gary, she didn't let the fact that he was almost a head taller than her cross her mind, or the fact that he could probubly kick her arse if he realy wanted to.
"What I want." Gary said leaning down to be at the same level as the girl. "Is you to be my girlfriend." He leant down slightly more and pecked Jen on the lips. She pushed away from him, and stared at him like he was mad. *From the rumours I've heard, he is.* "Like hell boy." She said pushing past him to leave. But he caught her wrist and pulled her back against him. "Don't!" He shouted in her face as she moved to slap the prick. He snatched her free wrist and held it tight. "Don't." He whispered into her ear calmer. Jen tried to pull herself free from his embrace, but he held her against him untill she stopped struggling. She could see from the smile creaping across his face that he was enjoying himself at her expence. "Good girl." He told her as he licked her ear. "You don't want to fight me. Just relax, Gary's not goin' to hurt the pretty little girly." Jen tried to relax, *maybe the fact my hearts just about to explode with terror is the reason I can't.* Gary loosened his grip on her, ever so slightly. "Now little girly. Lets talk buisness." He turned with her back to the bench and shoved her down onto it. "You don't want to be my girlfriend, fair enough." He told her as she cowered as far as she could get from him. "But I need you to be my girlfriend. So why don't we make a deal, huh?" He sat on the bench by her and slid in close. "You pretend to be my girlfriend. Just in public, infront of other people." Jen shivered slightly as he got closer to her. "Where people can see us, we kiss, holdhands, that sort of thing. In privite you call me any name under the sun, you kick me, hate me, bite me, anything you like. And I'll pay you for the public stuff." Jen's eyes opened wide in horror, "You want me to be..." She looked down trying to think of a word suitable "You want me to be like a whore?!" Gary roled his eyes and sighed. "No nothing like that," he looked down at her half-smiling "Unless you want that." Jen tried to push herself further from the boy, sickened. "Why the fuck would I want that?!" Gary tutted at her, and looked at her knowingly. "Using such naughty words won't get you very far, my dear." He pushed his body against her, he lifted his cold hand and stroked her cheek gently, as if touching a china doll, fearing she might break. "Just treat it like a game." He said jokingly. "Pretend we're in love, pretend you want me, pretend you arn't sickened by my preasence." He caressed her lips with a single clammy finger, "Just pretend. And I'll make it worth your while." She turned her face away from him, trying to stop him from touching her. "Just say yes, my little Jen-Jen. Just say yes and I'll leave you alone. Just say yes and I won't make you feel like this any more. Just say yes."
"Okay." She whispered. "I'll do it, just please..." she begged. "Just leave me alone." Gary smiled cruelly as he stood-up. "Your a good girl, Jen-Jen. A very good girl." He bent down and kissed he cheek briefly before she had time to turn away from him. "I'll see you tomorrow." He told her, before spinning on his heel and marching briskly from the school-bus. Jen waited till the boy had walked past the wall that down to the dormitories, before she let the tears run down her cheeks. She sat there stiffly as the warm salty wetness made their paths down her face and onto her collar.
She sat there, just waiting till no-more tears would come. Then when she was sure she wasn't going to burst into noicy sobbs. She got up and walked to the girls dormitory.
