The Legend of Zelda: New Love Found by the God of Twilight
As the sun rose over Hyrule field, a young boy dressed in a green tunic with a matching hat and brown boots makes his way toward the Castle Market. The boy’s name is Link, the Hero of Time. However, because of him returning home and the Door of Time being closed, no one but himself and the seven sages even remember his quest to save Hyrule from the King of Evil, Ganondorf. For Link however, he was perfectly fine with that fact. He knew he’d hate being famous. At least he had all the friendships he’d formed with others he’d met on his quest. Most precious to him was the bond he’d formed with Zelda, the Princess of Hyrule. They were close in age, she was 12 and he was 11. They also had carefree attitudes, which managed to get both of them in trouble on several different occasions.

Today, Link is on his way to visit Zelda at the castle. He’d made plans to take her to their “secret spot” to play. Their secret spot was a hidden grotto they found that had a hot spring in it. It was the perfect place to swim and play without being bothered by anyone. Finally, Link made it through the castle garden to the courtyard where they first met. He looked around and saw Zelda sitting under the tree. She was dressed in her usual long, pink and white dress with her family crest on it and her head dress that covered her hair.

“Hey Zelda,” Link said as he walked over to her.

“Hey Link,” Zelda answered as she quickly stood and faced him. She gave him a smile that he couldn’t help but return.

“How’ve you been doing? I haven’t seen you in awhile.”

His statement was very true. It’d been nearly two weeks since he’d visited her.

“I’ve been alright. Although I’m glad to be back from the diplomatic trip to Terminia I went on with Daddy.”

Since Link’s unusual trip to Terminia, Hyrule had started diplomatic relations with them. It’d been a rocky start, but things were looking up.

“I’m just glad you’re back,” Link said in a quiet voice. “I’ve missed you a lot.”

Zelda couldn’t help but blush a little. “I missed you too Link.”

“Feel like going to our secret spot today?” Link asked her in his normal cheery tone.

“I’d love to,” she answered in a excited tone of voice. “I’ll tell Impa we’re going out to play and I’ll meet you at the gate.”

He smiled and nodded. “Don’t take too long.” He went back the way he came.

“I won’t,” she called after him before she went inside to tell Impa and get ready to go. She was looking forward to being with Link again.

About twenty minutes later, Zelda joined Link at the castle gate. Link was relieved when she arrived. He’d grown tired of the quiet company of the guard, who did nothing but give Link the cold stare. They quickly left the market and went into Hyrule Field. Their secret place was near the cliff beyond Lon Lon Ranch. As they walked, they talked about what they’d been up to since they last saw each other.

Link had done very little except visiting friends around Hyrule. He’d spent time up on Death Mountain visiting his “brother” Darunia. With his Goron mask he got in Terminia, he’d participated in a few races with other Gorons, as well as a few rock bashing contests. He also spent a couple days in Zora’s Domain visiting Princess Ruto. He chose not to use his Zora mask since he knew Ruto would try harder than she already did to get Link to marry her. He even visited the Gerudo in the desert. He was an honorary member of their tribe so he could come and go as he pleased. Besides, he was a friend of their leader, Nabooru. He spent the most time at home in Kokiri Forest, where he played with Saria and the other Kokiri, except for Mido that is.

Zelda on the other hand, was so busy with her “royal duties,” she hardly had time to have any fun in Terminia. Since she was almost a teenager, she had to learn all the duties that comes with her title. Most important was being a diplomat, representing her people in the eyes of those in Terminia. Luckily for her, her father handled most of the work. Her job was mostly to listen and learn. She was just glad it was over for now.

They finally made it to their grotto. The best part about this spring is that only the Song of Storms can open it. In Hyrule, only Link and Zelda know it. So, Link pulled out his ocarina and played the tune, opening the hole. They both jumped in as it promptly closed behind them. The chamber was, as always, at a comfortable temperature.

“Ahh,” Zelda sighed contently as she took a deep breath. “I’ve missed this place.”

“Yeah,” Link agreed. “This place hasn’t been the same without you.”

As Zelda looked around the cavern, she noticed an envelope laying on the grass near the pool. It had her name on it. She walked over to it and knelt down and picked it up.

“What’s this?” She looked quizzically at Link.

“Open it and find out,” Link answered with a grin.

She laughed as she opened it. Inside was a note. She read it out loud.

“When you’re here, life feels so right. When you’re gone, I feel empty inside. You may or may not know it, but my life means nothing without you in it. So please, let me stay close to you because only you complete me.”

She felt a tear come to her eye as she stood and looked at Link. He had a gentle smile on his face as their eyes met.

“I couldn’t figure out how to say that to you,” Link spoke in a quiet voice. “But I meant every word.”

“Oh Link,” she said as tears started falling from her eyes. She walked over to him and threw her arms around his neck and buried her face on his shoulder. “I feel the same about you. My life is empty without you too. You complete me Link.”

Link wrapped his arms around her waist and held her tight. He’d never felt this happy in his entire life. Before he knew what he was doing, he gently kissed Zelda on the side of her head. This made Zelda lift her head and look him in the eyes. When he looked in her eyes, he felt himself get lost in her deep blue orbs. Though he’d locked eyes with her before, they’ve never captured him like this before. He let her go as he brought his left hand up and lightly caressed her right cheek. He felt her lean into his hand.

“Zel…,” he whispered. He smiled at her. When she smiled back, he leaned his face in and lightly kissed her on the lips.

Zelda was shocked when she felt Link’s lips touch hers. Her shock vanished quickly as she pressed her lips into his. She couldn’t explain it, but she wanted to find the answer.

“You kidding?” Link laughed. “You’d have to kill me to keep me away.”

“I’m glad,” she said in a happy tone. “I don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t here.”

They finally separated as Link walked toward the exit. Zelda called to him before he left.

“I love you my Hero of Time.”

Link turned around and smiled at her.

“I love you too, my precious princess.”

With a wave, Link left the castle and returned to the forest

Author’s Notes: This was my first attempt at writing a lemon fic. I hope everyone who reads it enjoys it. That being said, I know there was no grotto at the path south of Lon Lon Ranch in the game. The path that goes toward the Gerudo Valley from Lake Hylia which passes by a cliff. I thought there should be something here so I took the idea of a hot spring from Majora’s Mask and put one in. I chose their ages as such because I can’t recall ever seeing a lemon storey with Link and Zelda as kids, so I thought I’d try my hand at it. Well, there you have it.
