Unexpected Happeings
Chapter One: The birth of a new prince
"One more push my prince, and all this pain will be over." The prince grunted but gave one last mighty push, using all the energy he had. He fell back and sighed when he heard the sound of a child's cry reach his ears. "It is a boy my prince. What do you wish to call him?" The prince shrugged and reached out for the newly cleaned and wrapped baby and smiled when he was able to hold the beauty within his arms. The child was perfect in every way. A tuft of black hair sat neatly on his head and his eyes being silver, as all new born babies eyes are, looked at his father with intrest. "I believe I shall name him Ali. It might not be the best name but it is an honorable name." The baby cooed and snuggled into the warmth of his father's embrace before falling fast asleep.
Though the prince was very happy to have a son, he did not know how on earth this had happened to him. He had not been cursed, as of late, nor had he been intimate with any person, let alone one from the same gender. The oragions of this child were indeed a mystery but the prince did not care. He looked down at his sleeping child and smiled warmly. "I swear I will protect you my little child. No evil on this planet can harm you while I am alive to prevent it." The prince swore before holding his child close and falling into a comfortable sleep.
Moments later a shrill cry woke the prince and allerted him to his son's wakeful state. He groaned in pain before sitting up rather slightly and holding the child close. "What ails you my son? Are you in need of food?" The child's cries grew more frantic, more distressed, and so the prince had no choice but to stand and walk from the room. He gently rocked the crying child while walking towards the kitchen, singing the same lullaby he remembered his mother sing to him when he had been nothing more than a child. The child calmed a bit but continued to cry. "It's alright my young child, I will get you cleaned and fed soon enough. Please calm yourself." The child, hearing the exostion in his father's voice calmed his crying and whimpered a bit before quieting all together, knowing his father would not keep him dirty and hungry for much longer.
Half an hour went by before the child was cleaned, fed, burped and put back to sleep. The prince, having finally woken from his sleep completely, was not able to get back to sleep and therefore sat up watching his dear sweet son sleep soundly in his small crib. "Kaileena will be amazed. I wander what she is up to." The prince mused hearing the one day old child snore. He did not have to wait long for his question to be answered for within moments the entire floor was littered with sand. "The sands of time." He spoke, frantacly picking up his child and running from the room. But it seemed as though fate was not on his side, for no matter how he tried to avoid it, in the end he was infected with the sands of time. "What the hell. Can't I get one day's rest?" He complained keeping his child as far from the sands as possible.
As quickly as they had appeared the sands were gone, leaving nothing but many infected people in their wake. The prince looked down at his son, reassuring himself the child had not been infected. He sighed with reliefe before hugging his son close and walking to his room to change into better suiting clothes. "Baby, I am so very sorry this happened while you are so young, but trust me, no matter how much of a monster I become, I will let nothing happen to you." And as though the sands had heard him, he began to change into the dark prince with yellow glowing eyes. The baby, not recognizing the man screamed loudly. The dark prince, using his normal hand, went over to pet the child's face who instantly calmed, knowing this man meant him no harm. "It's okay child. I will not harm you. You are safe while I am around." The baby whimpered before closing his eyes, trying his best not to look at the threatening man standing mere inches away from him.
"Your father is fine child, do not worry yourself. Come, we must leave." The dark prince said having finished dressing appropriately for a battle that was sure to come. He picked up the whimpering child and walked from the room, making sure no one was near enough to be a threat to the baby. "There is no one your father trusts to take care of you, so I believe you will acompaney us on this little journey. It is dangerous, but trust me child, I will not let you die."
