Quench the Fire

"Axel hasn't been the same. Not since Roxas left. Why?" Luxord asked of Demyx. The blond musician shrugged his shoulders. "They were friends. If Xigbar took off, you and Xaldin would be sad, too." Luxord laughed. "No, Dem. I would be enraged. That twat still owes me munny." Demyx smiled. "That's mean! I'm going to go talk to him. He hasn't spoken in too long, you know? It worries me. His, uh, performance in the Organization would be insufficient if he were to stay like this for much longer” Demyx stood up and walked away, leaving Luxord shaking his head. “Hn. Flamer.”

Demyx heard this remark and snorted. That was stupid. He was not gay, he was in love with his music, which he was pretty sure was female. Yes. He made love every night to a beautifully female sitar. Yes. Wait... he laughed at that image before steadily approaching Axel's quarters. He thumped on the heavy door and waited for an answer. He smelled smoke, which was generally not a good thing... “Axel, are you in there--” He asked, but was startled when the door opened, a bit, exposing a pale, sweating face and mass of tangled red hair, before nodding and shutting the door again. Demyx sighed, pushing the door open again.

“Uh, Axel... I meant for you to let me in there, you know.” The redhead sighed and turned around, keying the light. It was now that Demyx saw why Axel had not come out. The room was a chaotic mess, things strewn about and somethings still smouldering. Axel's large eyes were chaotic themselves, as if they were angry, sad, and passionate all at once. He looked at Demyx, who could now see the tears that formed in the redhead's eyes. “Axel, this isn't healthy, you know? I haven't seen you like this, ever. Why was that kid so special?” Axel rushed over and clamped his arms around Demyx, much to the blonde's surprise.

“Um...” Demyx was startled at this. He patted Axel's back in the most heterosexual manner he could think of, and peeled him off. “Did you have some sort of... um, I dunno. Were you two, like, gay together or something?” Axel gasped and I heard him speak for the first time in a month. “Yes.”

Demyx gasped before pulling Axel to him in a knowing hug. He wasn't gay, but he still felt terribly. He didn't know it was like that!
