Chapter 1 - Burning Passion
I though I'd totally redo Resident Ada, so here it is, with a new name - Uncontrollable urge.
It was a very hot summer day. The woman sitting at the coffee table smiled to herself. Her short dark hair waving slightly in the wind as she read her book. Every now and then she would give a stealthy glance at a small metal pepper pot. To the casual observer she was just another individual, drinking her coffee. A waiter approached her, slightly timidly. He didn't know why, but he was definitely nervous. Opening his mouth to speak he paused, then stammering asked,
"W.. w.. would like another coffee mam".
Putting her book down the dark haired woman turned to look at him, the sunlight flashing off her sunglasses into his eyes, temporarily blinding him. He took a little step back. Transfixing the waiter for a couple of seconds the woman slowly allowed her lips to part slightly. Breathing for a moment she answered,
"Oh, just one more I think. Any more and I'd think you were giving me special treatment."
She gave him a little smile, her head going to one side slightly. His heart visibly melting the waiter turned and staring at the ground almost ran back to the inside of the cafe, ignoring two other customers who were trying to get his attention. Smiling to herself the dark haired woman returned to her book. After a second she gave a quick glance at the pepper pot, and the blurry figure reflected in it, before returning to her book. It was a new book, just recently out onto the shelves and it was causing quite a stir. The front cover showed a poorly drawn zombie and in big red letters the name went 'Raccoon City, what really happened'. It appeared that nobody wanted to believe the government version of events. The recent testimonies of an unidentified blond haired man who was refuted to have been seen in Spain had created a firestorm, many pointing fingers at the recently demised Umbrella Inc.
A short while later the dark haired woman got up, having paid, and walked off down the street.
"Oh man, looks like you missed your chance"
"Shut up. She was way out of my league"
As the two waiters wasted the boiling afternoon away complaining to each other the dark haired woman had made her way into a shaded side alley. Her soft , quite steps were not all that could be heard. There was this shuffling sound, barely audible. The woman continued on down the alley enjoying the cool breeze. She paused, and listing heard....... nothing. She let out a small sigh of relief. Standing there in the alley she looked upwards and closed her eyes, feeling the breeze on her face, her hair moving ever so slightly. She could hear the bustle of city life, just a few metres away, yet she was so cut off here. She could even feel the cold touch of metal on her throat...... sharp metal.
"Compliments from my late lord Saddler from beyond the grave UHNH!!!"
The woman's left leg shot up backwards, quick... and hard. Jerking forward her assailant's right hand left the area of her throat and seizing her chance the dark haired woman grabbed his arm, and spun him around. Quickly bringing her knee up she hit him in the back of the leg bringing him down onto his knees. Relinquishing her grasp on his arm the woman spun and kicked out hitting her assailant in the head, crushing it between the force of her kick.... and the rock solid brick wall. Gazing at the newly made indentation in the brick wall, which was now covered in blood. Shaking her head secret operative Ada Wong turned and strode out of the alley. Damn Wesker, why didn't he do something about these demented assassins.
Albert Wesker himself was doing something. He was watching Ada dispatch this latest cult-crazed maniac. Ada was evidently slipping, she hadn't even taken into account the CCTV camera which had seen everything. Intervening could be dangerous, Wesker didn't know if the Los Illuminados still had any serious bite left in it. It generally made sense to let them throw temsleves at Ada until the last dregs were gone. Yet Ada was suffering under the strain, of a mission she didn't know she had. Wesker smiled to himself. Perhaps he could find a suitable way of 'rewarding' her.
However it wouldn't be Wesker sleeping with her tonight. Instead a blond haired ex-cop had just made his way into the city, and two lives were about to meet again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Screams .................. shouting ................... gunshots ............................................... silence, and then all hell breaks loose. More gunshots, and explosions this time. Tanks rumbled onto the streets. Megaphones blasting out, calling for order. There was the sound of windows smashing. Looters roamed the streets, until a grimmer host takes control.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leon sprinted down the high street. Looking to his left he saw a television store, window broken, one televisions still beaming out "reminiscent of Raccoon city ................ conspiracy theorists were right .................. Umbrella". He was almost out of energy, he couldn't keep running like this for much longer. Looking to the right he saw a very rundown hotel, neon light blinking, some of the letters missing. Turning Leon sprinted for the doors, the last of his energy just draining away. With an almighty effort he threw himself through the glass doors, sending glass everywhere. Jumping to his feet swinging his gun left and right. There were a couple of zombies ambling around although not enough to waste ammo on though. Rushing to the lift Leon hit up. "Come on come ON!!!!!" with a little bing the lift doors opened revealing at least a dozen zombies. The front one lunged at Leon who swiftly raised his gun and put two holes into his assailant's head. However the zombie's lifeless corpse, arms still flung forward, hit Leon, knocking him over and his gun out of his hand. Head snapping round Leon could see it resting under a chair, with about three zombies between him and it. Pushing himself up of the floor Leon realized he was now almost surrounded by zombies, his only route left open a flight of stairs leading up. Grabbing his knife from it's holder Leon dashed between two closing zombies. A zombie on his right made to lunge but he slashed it's face and it wretched back, blinded. Reaching the stairs Leon began to climb. After reaching the third floor Leon gave a couple of quick glances around he ran down a relatively debris free corridor. Picking a number, 302, Leon kicked down the door. Entering the room Leon looked around ....... deserted. Turning he saw a small chest of drawers. Without hesitation he pushed in front of the door to block it. Exhausted Leon final collapsed onto the bed, falling into a deep sleep.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey stranger"
"Uhhhhhn, who is it"
Leon opened his eyes. All he could see was a red dressed blur. Closing them again Leon paused to think, red dress, couldn't be. Opening them again Leon saw his new companion for the first time. Eyes flitting across her red dress, up to her short dark hair.
"Ada ......... What you doing here".
"I've been following you, I saw in you earlier in the city, before the outbreak happened".
"You know what started it"?
"Ha ha ha, you think I know. It's just coincidence that I was here. But Leon, now I'm here, I want to ask you something."
"What's that".
"Well, I know you've been involved in anti-Umbrella activities. However have you given any-thought to Los Illuminados".
"No, they're totally finished ....... aren't they".
"Thats not true. They're chasing me day in day out".
Ada obviously looked tired. This was odd, she never looked tired.
"Damn Saddler had contingency plans", Ada went on, evidently exhausted. "but Leon, I need you... now!"
Leon was startled, a mad glint was in her eye. Grabbing him Ada planted her hips in his lap and began to kiss his face passionately. Still slightly startled Leon returned the kisses, kissing her on the neck. Slowly Ada began to remove both their clothes.
(i'll finish this later, sorry about the very long delays)
