Darkstalker: The Dark Blade

I do not own Sonic or Soul Calibur. I do, however, own some of the characters in here, such as Darkstalker, Necro, and Stryker. So keep that in mind. Also, I got the idea for this after getting Soul Calibur III. Enjoy the crossover, if hopeful.

Chapter 1: Releasing the Knight of the Darkness


One day, many years ago, there was an evil knight who ruled over Mobius with a sacred blade - the Soul Edge. This evil knight was an echidna with brown fur that looked similar to the color red. His eyes were red - blood red. His armor was black with silver shoulder pads. His cape was red with a back emblem of a sword. This echidna was named Eliwood Siegfried. His azura knight name was Darkstalker. Years he had served under Nightmare, the azura knight, who was the previous owner of Soul Edge. Nightmare was slain in battle and Darkstalker was given the Soul Edge. However, even though he was immortal, his downfall came when he opposed a foe who had the Soul Calibur. Darkstalker's powers were no match for the blade and he was sealed away for eternity... Mobius was freed... and peace returned...

Or so the land of Mobius thought...

One day, about a week ago, he was released from his seal by the evil Dr. Ivo Robotnik, also known as Dr. Eggman. Darkstalker knew that the Soul Edge was somewhere - he could feel its power; but it was far, far away... his journey to re-own Mobius was now going to be a task too large for any normal person. Only he could find the Soul Edge. However, the group known as the Freedom Fighters found out. The leader of the group, Princess Sally Acorn, was a descendant of the person who defeated Darkstalker so many years ago. The duty to protect Mobius was handed down to her, as was the task to keep the Soul Edge away from evil. She has no idea who Dr. Eggman has released, but she has found out.

The time to protect Mobius, or the time to watch it go back to darkness, has come... the fate of Mobius lies in the hands of Princess Sally Acorn or Darkstalker.

Princess Sally was looking through her files and on the internet with her laptop as always, trying to find the latest news. She sighed as she laid back in her chair.

"Damn.", she said to herself. "There's nothing new... huh?"

She looked at the news closer, and found out that Dr. Eggman was going to release a new threat. She began to turn off her laptop and put away her files. It was time to stop him. Sonic had been killed a week ago at the hands of Dr. Eggman's bounty hunter. Who it was, was a mystery.

Dr. Eggman was laughing as he found an ancient city. This once lively kingdom was where Darkstalker was sealed away. The ruins were a site that was beautiful - the inside of the kingdom was full of evils that were unknown.

"Hahahaha! THIS is where he rests!", said Dr. Eggman with a grin, stroking his mustache.
"Sir, if I may...", said a mechanical hedgehog next to him.

The hedgehog was Metal Sonic. The metal on it was blue, and its eyes were red. Its muzzle and hands were silver. It had a red leather cape wich flowed from its neck.

"Yes, Metal Sonic?", asked Dr. Eggman.
"This place doesn't feel right. Remember what happened to... your hunter?", asked Metal Sonic.
"Yes.", replied Dr. Eggman.
"The accident that occured here just a week ago! It killed him! Necro the Bounty Hunter died trying to keep Sonic away!", exclaimed Metal Sonic.
"True.", replied Dr. Eggman. "But we musn't give up. His death won't be in vain! That azura knight MUST be here!"

Metal Sonic nodded.

"Now then! Let's go!", commanded Dr. Eggman.

He had a whole army of robots at his disposal. The entire army walked into the ruins where Necro the Bounty Hnter was killed. The bounty hunter was a fox. A young fox. He was 15, had blue fur with black tails tips and a black muzzle, had purple eyes, stood at 6'2, and was incredibly evil because he was half machine. He was killed trying to stop Sonic in a battle to the death. In the end, he emerged victorius, but he was killed by a rock wich fell on him. He was Dr. Eggman's favorite bounty hunter.

Finaly, after much travel, they arrived in the throne room. On the back of the wall was a seal of some sort with words on it. The language was old and unable to be translated by many. Only a few knew this language. Dr. Eggman had captured a Mobian who knew the language and decided to release this Knight of Darkness. He threw the Mobian at the wall. It was obvious he was a slave and was tortured badly. His fingers were missing from his right hand and his face was bruised badly.

"Release the knight!", shouted Dr. Eggman.
"Y-yes, sir.", whimpered the Mobian.

He started to chant the language on the seal, wich was incredibly long. After five minutes, the whole palace shook, and the Mobian fell dead. What killed him?

"What the fuck?!", shouted an angry Dr. Eggman.

Just then, the wall opened, and a knight in armor stood there. His red eyes glared from under the helmet. It was laughing like a maniac.

"It's him...", said Dr. Eggman.
"It's...", stated a robot.
"DARKSTALKER!", shouted the figure. "There! I finished it!"

He then began to walk out, holding nothing in his hands. They were empty... he saw a robot holding a sword. Good enough for him. He took it and sliced it in half. He looked at Dr. Eggman.

"What is your bidding?", he asked.
"Destroy the Freedom Fighters.", commanded Dr. Eggman.

Darkstalker arose, and left the castle. he didn;t even have intentions of listening to Dr. Robotnik - he wanted his sword back.. he wanted Soul Edge...

Heh... been a while since I did a story, and now I wrote a good one, if hopeful. Sorry if it looks like junk at first, but I promise it gets better.
