Tails looked out into the ocean to see the sun setting on this autumn evening, the crisp air gently blowing his fur around. It was a relaxing feeling but a nerve wrenching feeling as some thoughts bounced around in his head.

He had always came to this very sandy beach to stare at the light orange colored sun that shined against the azure water and highlighted the sky pink. It always helped him understand the world better. It helped him feel like he was an important person for being a teenager. And he was always filled with deep darkening problems and secrets.

The fourteen year old kitsune just held his arms together and continued to stare out into the beautiful sun that gave him a bit of hope. The three stripes of hair that hung infront of his face brushed into his eyes and made him twitch a bit. He moved his left hand gently and pulled them to the side, almost forgetting why he came out here to think.

It was about the event that was going to happen in fifteen minutes. He was well groomed for this event but not like a tuxedo. It was his 'fun' clothes or if he were just to leave his fur showing to have fun with his friends if they were to go adventuring.

The fun would be an amusement park that he had waited for so long. Amy had invited him and Sonic to come with her to the park, along with the company of Knuckles. But he wasn't too happy for this park. If he couldn't keep this one certain thought out of his head then he would have thought this would be the best day of his life.

He sighed as he pushed the sand around his feet and continued to feel the gentle relaxing breeze. Seeing as how tonight couldn't be anymore fun it was the thought that he would have to hide when he would have fun at the giant exciting park. The problem was...

...Sonic.

It choked him deep inside because of him and what he couldn't do at the amusement park. If he were to show his affection towards the man he loved he would be picked on by the local residents of the couple and maybe be torn away by his friends. That's why he came to this place by the sand...to think about what he was going to do...

He loved Sonic with all his heart, and Sonic did as well. But they've always held there relationship a secret to the public and there closest friends. They always feared they might be hated or rejected for this kind of behavior some would call "Sick and wrong". Even though Sonic was such an outgoing guy...not even his courage could fight against the fear they both had.

The two tailed fox looked down at the soft tan sand that matched his fur and sighed depressingly. That's why he hated the fact that he would be going to the huge amusement park with Sonic and not be able to enjoy it properly. As he and him would had been able to hold hands and hug...only now they can walk side by side and just laugh which blocked off any form of love.

The bustling city would soon be covered in bright lights and millions of people having the time of their life's. As for Tails couldn't live the full extent of what the fun promised, he could only hide his true feelings for the guy he loved and he knew if he tried to endure it there it would kill him softly. And that's why a question came over him...

"Should I? Or shouldn't I?" Was the question he asked in his light depressive voice. Those little words kept blowing around in his mind like a hurricane. It was the difference between a bright future or a dark future. And the problem with that was that he didn't know which answer took him down which tunnel.

Would the truthful tunnel take him down to happiness and peaceful bliss with Sonic?

Or would the lying tunnel take him down to a place of hatred and hidden love with Sonic?

Tails just didn't know which road to take, and being a boy who was already starting to figure out love, it was confusing him more and more.

So this is why he managed to stay alive inside. This beautiful sunset always held him in his heart and carried his dreams away. It was the place that kept his and Sonic's love alive. But he didn't know if it had enough strength to help him out tonight for the sun was almost down and the city lights in Station Square were starting to come on. In a few minutes he would have to leave and meet up with the others to head to Twinkle Park where the huge banquet was taking place.

The kitsune lifted his head up and stared into the sun one last time watching it disappear beyond the water. He was on his own now. To make his decisions in love and the marks in his life. This was the night that would either kill him or save him...

He began walking back to the city with the black sky infront of him. He saw all the lights in the city begin to light up and tried to smile since Station Square's lights were always well planned out and magnificent looking.

The teenager stepped up onto a boardwalk that would soon lead him onto the roads of the city where he would soon meet up with his friends and boyfriend.

As he passed many stores and people across the boardwalk he finally came onto black pavement that marked he was on the city. He sighed and looked both ways across the street to make sure of any incoming traffic. He saw none and slowly walked across the street approaching the entrance to Twinkle Park.

Tails walked on over and saw blue, pink, and red figures, none other then his friends. All three of them waved at Tails after seeing him come out of the boardwalk. He weakly waved back and ran on over to them. Tails didn't want Sonic over at the beach because he needed time to think about the whole night since Sonic didn't want there love to be exposed. But since they had a little debate about it he agreed with Sonic thinking it was for the better, but he wanted to know what was for the better. Hiding it, or showing it.

He put on a fake smile and greeted them. "Well I'm here guys, sorry I was late, got caught in the crowds." Tails said trying to falsely act nervous putting his hand behind his neck and rubbing it.

"That's ok Tails. Great to see you though, as long as you weren't hurt." Sonic told his secret lover with a big smile. "As long as your ok, I'm fine."

"Yes...I think I'm ok..." Tails told him coldly swallowing. He then peered over at Amy who was banging on the door that takes visitors to Twinkle Park.

"Come on! Let me in!" She whined hitting the door over and over again. "Grr...dumb doors! Now I'll never have my magical night with Sonic!"

Sonic shook off the bizarre feeling from Tails after hearing Amy's annoying remarks. "Ugh...Amy this is not a date!" He cried. "And if it was I would had told you."

"That's Amy for you." Knuckles chuckled walking over to her and pushing a button to the side. He looked at Amy and laughed. "Next time, try looking for a button instead of getting Sonic annoyed. It doesn't bother me if you come to me with your problems, I'm always glad to help."

"Aw! Thank you so much Knuckles!" Amy cheered with joy giving Knuckles a huge hug. "Your so nice!" She quickly glared back to see if Sonic was getting jealous but he wasn't and she jumped off of Knuckles' quickly.

Knuckles blushed deeply, but a bit nervously from Amy bombarding on him so quickly. "Your welcome." His eyes went all over the place.

Tails just looked at Sonic as he looked back and the kitsune just sighed.

"What's the matter?" He silently said, quite worried about his boyfriend.

"Its nothing..." Tails cried. All of the thoughts were taking over his mind again. He was upset and angry at Sonic for wanting to keep there love a secret and especially on a big event like this he couldn't take not being able to show his love for him. It was killing him and he just wanted to admit his love to him right then and but he couldn't yet. He didn't want to ruin the night for the rest of them so he needed to distract Sonic. The kitsune tried his hardest to gather all the remaining happiness left in him to use it with Sonic so he wouldn't be worried. "I'm alright Sonic." He smiled brightly closing his eyes. "I wanna go ride some awesome rides!"

Sonic's face smiled seeing he was happy again. The feelings of him being angry at him because of the paranoia he was feeling started to lift off into the air as he felt him seem to care again, but still, he himself was still sad he couldn't show any affection with his true love. He just never wanted to hurt him. "Well Tails, this place has got all kinds of wicked rides! Its gonna be fun, especially hanging around with my buddy..." He rubbed Tails head and smiled.

Both of them walked over to where Knuckles and Amy were. They came to the front door of Twinkle Park that leads to the real entrance. All four of them climbed into the seeable elevator and let the doors close as they rid to the top. There was a left and right hallway and so they chose the right one that had the door at the end to Twinkle Park. They came to the end and entered the door, both of them with different thoughts.

The huge brown wooden gates shut behind them as they entered the huge amusement park of Twinkle Park. It was pitch black outside and the lights that were set all over the park lit the place so beautifully. All kinds of colors were reflected everywhere, orange, yellow, red, all making it a nice place.

You could see all kinds of shoppes that sold candy, food, souvenirs, and all kinds of gifts that people would want to give to there friends, family, or even lovers. Some of these were set up across the whole park that stretched for miles.

The main attraction of this park though were the rides. You had Ferris wheels, bumper cars, water rides that were closed off in the fall which were a downer for Tails, and a whole set of challenging roller coasters. The place was filled with many more creative rides that anyone could think of.

Tails admired the workmanship the place had and the magnificent beauty of everything that surrounded it. It gave him a bit of a relaxing point to make him happy, but the thought of him still expressing his love to Sonic made him emotionally cornered inside. The music that played across the park wasn't of any help either, and neither was Amy's nerve shattering voice that tried to take his boyfriend from him.

"Sonic! Let's go on the Ferris wheel together!" Amy yelled pointing at the huge Ferris wheel that stuck out in the huge amusement park. "It'll be so romantic!"

The blue blur sighed for the second time. "For the last time Amy, this isn't a date. I'm sorry but maybe its time you called it quits on me."

Amy frowned but her attention was taken on one of the shops. She quickly ran on in to the one with jewels, and other pretty things.

"I guess that was a no." Knuckles chuckled watching the girl fancy everything inside the shop. The boys just stood outside of the place waiting for her to come out since they didn't have any interest of what was inside.

But Tails did have an interest for something inside that caught his attention. Though if he got the item he would probably be questioned for who it was for since none of them knew he was dating anybody. He started to gather courage, if he was going to tell everybody how he felt tonight then it wouldn't matter if he committed this act right now.

"I'll be right back guys, I'll go check on Amy." He told the other guys and burst on in the shop.

It was a very nice shop. The walls and floors were a black, white, and green marble that was firmly polished. The lights were bright and gave it a golden look as some of the jewelry they were selling were in glass boxes for viewing. But Tails did all he could to avoid Amy in the store who was too occupied by a sales clerk.

He ran over to the item that caught his interest. It was a small silver bracelet with an emerald. It looked more like a silver chain with a glittering emerald in the center. The whole thing did sparkle and it didn't cost much either. So he picked it up and ran over to a clerk at a store. She rung up the price and Tails took out some money he had.

"So this is for your girlfriend? I'm sure she'll like it." The woman said with a gentle smile as she took Tails money and put it in the cash register. She then began placing Tails gift in the bag wrapping it.

"No...its for my boyfriend..." He said in a quiet voice. He had finally admitted to someone that he loved Sonic. Though it wasn't saying his real name nor that she knew him...it was the fact that it was a gift he was getting for him and that he had actually said something to somebody.

"Oh...well I think he'll like it." The sales clerk said with the same gentle smile. "Your the first person to actually admit the truth about something like that..." She said sounding astounded but she didn't want to create a problem and cut it short. "Anyway, have a nice day." She handed Tails the bag.

"Thank you." He said with a real smile. He was so overwhelmed by her reaction that he was walking out of the store with a real smile on his face. The first person he had actually told someone about liking boys actually didn't mind that he did. It was such a exciting feeling to him but he came back out into the crisp air with his other friends and Amy who wound up with nothing.

Sonic was the first to notice the bag and was a bit absurd with it. "Who's the present for?" He asked with a worried voice, jealousness getting the best of him as he thought it was for someone else.

"Its for someone very special to me..." He quickly said, and those words relaxed Sonic's feeling and Tails saw his feeling relax too. That gave them both a feel of ecstasy. Though Tails was determined to give Sonic this gift infront of Knuckles and Amy, he just didn't know how...

"I'm sure they'll like." Sonic told him with a warming smile. "I know they'll love you very much for it."

All of them formed back into the four person group and began walking deeper into the Twinkle Park amusement park. They walked past more shoppes, and they soon past a few rides but those rides were for little kids and none of them would had been able to fit in them. Soon a huge roller coast caught Sonic's attention.

He tilted his head up to see the other people zoom by on the monster and felt his need for speed build up. "We've gotta go on that!" He yelled with excitement starting to find the line.

"Looks awesome, I'll go." Knuckles responded.

"Same, anything for my darling Sonic!" Amy said in a star gazing voice as she and Knuckles began following him to the line, but Tails was behind, frozen, and starting to shake.

After Sonic noticed his buddy wasn't up walking with him he turned back and saw him there. Sonic quickly ran back worried as hell for him. "What's the matter?" He asked with concern.

"I-I'm afraid of roller coasters..." He whimpered admitting one of his big fears. "I've never liked them for some reason...they just aren't safe."

Sonic gave him a comforting hug to cheer him up. "I mean, if you ride the Tornado it shouldn't be that difficult. And if that doesn't make you think...you can ride next to me."

When Tails received that comforting hug from Sonic, he could feel the true love of there relationship be released from that hug. He had actually received a hug from his boyfriend in the middle of a huge public park and nobody even seemed to look at them or care. It was like Sonic didn't care for anything anymore and Tails could feel it in both of there bodies as there fur touched.

Tails brightly smiled and hugged him back. "Alright Sonic, I'll give it a shot."

"Thank you." Sonic told him in a cheery voice. The both of them got next to each other and began walking side by side to the line that led to this huge fast roller coaster. Knuckles and Amy were infront of them walking side by side but that didn't bother them either, and them doing it didn't either.

After a few minutes of hustling they found what began the line and saw that the beginning was empty and that the people were all the way up in the front. They walked through the lines that would hold the people in the busy hours of the day and they finally breached the line of people infront of them. It would only be a few minutes after the line was taken cared of and it would be there turn to have fun.

As they waited they were a bit quiet, all of them going into different separations of thought. Sonic and Tails' thoughts being the most complexed. Both of them were thinking about how they would act to eachother in the public and not how they would during at home. They were both thinking how they should really act like when they are out together and not care what everyone would think, but yet they both had there different feelings and they didn't know which would they should be taking.

The cool breeze from the October air could be felt on them as they waited for there spot next in line. It was a beautiful night and a perfect night for Tails to admit to his friends the love he and Sonic feel for eachother.

It was now there turn in line and they all were excited. Tails was still a bit scared as he climbed into the seat at the front of the coaster. Sonic sat in the seat beside him as Knuckles and Amy filled in the two spots behind them. They were all in there own spot at the front of the roller coaster and were waiting for others to fill it. To there surprise only a few got on, but soon Tails was shaking.

"I'm scared Sonic..." Tails told his boyfriend as the seats locked themselves in. He had never liked the speed and un safety of rollar coasters but he wanted to ride it with his boyfriend so he'd at least be this close and private to him. He didn't have all the courage but Sonic always helped him feel better about himself.

"Don't worry Tails...when we get to the top of the hill...you won't be scared anymore..." Sonic quietly told him.

The sentences he spoke to him made him start to wonder. What was he exactly going to do when they go to the top? The only way he could find out was to try to fight his fright and get to the top.

The people operating the machines got the A-OK and started the roller coaster. Its wheels started moving and the coaster started rolling out of the place it was docked at and out into the breeze of the outside. It began climbing the large hill that would reach the top and fall, the place where Tails wanted to see what Sonic was going to do.

It climbed ever so higher. Reaching up and up all the way to the half. Knuckles and Amy were chattering away to even have a idea of how far they were going. Those two never seemed to have a fear of roller coasters as much as Tails did and Sonic wanted to make him feel safe where ever he was.

After awaiting the long period of them they reached the top of the coaster where they came to see the huge park. They could see everything, its lights shined everywhere, other roller coasters and the people everywhere. Above them was the moon that shown its beautiful light on the two. And the gentle crisp breeze that put them into bliss. Now Tails was awaiting to see what Sonic meant to do...and right before they went down to hill...Sonic put his arms around him...

As they zoomed down the hill all of the fear Tails was feeling was automatically sucked out of him after feeling his lovers arms wrapped around him. Sonic was actually keeping him warm and safe. He had drained his fear of roller coasters as they went through the loops and twirls and the thing that caught Tails attention the most was that he was doing it infront of the whole park...

The warmth from him kept him safe and in bliss as they finished riding the coaster. At the very end they departed from eachother very slowly even though they may or may not have been seen. It seemed at this point they didn't care...but Tails wasn't sure yet...but he would be once he told his lover the truth...

"Sonic..." He whispered. "Should I tell them?"

His lover gently nodded with a warm smile.

Tails felt love in his heart again that his boyfriend actually wanted to let them know. And the wind in his hair gave him such a wonderful feeling like nothing could stop him, and with Sonic, nothing in the world could tear them apart.

The roller coaster finally came to a complete stop, and Tails and Sonic both popped out of the seats. Knuckles and Amy both followed them out from the front and both had an uneasy look on there faces, though they didn't show it towards the two up ahead.

"Now that was fun!" Sonic cheered as all four of them walked out of the ride and down a long ramp that took them back to the main part of Twinkle Park. "How did you enjoy it Amy?"

"It was...uh...good..." She said with a sigh. She was then hit on the shoulder by Knuckles. "Ow! What was that for?"

"You should respect him for who he is..." Knuckles whispered to her. "I know your probably jealous now...you always are...and you should respect what he does..."

Amy sighed. "I never like to see him with anyone but me..."

Sonic and Tails both turned around. They saw Amy and Knuckles silently chit chatting but it didn't bother them, they figured they saw them but saw that Amy was uncertain and that Knuckles seemed 'okay'. Sonic stood out and asked them "Guys...lets sit down in a little private place."

The group nodded, and found a table isolated from most people and sat down on it, Tails and Sonic both sitting next to eachother. Tails on the other hand felt a joy and happiness in his heart as Sonic was actually going to tell them, the secret he thought would probably tear them up apart wasn't going to happen and they wouldn't have to be secretive to eachother.

"Well...if I can make it easier for you Sonic...we know..." Knuckles told them, striking the relieve off of them both. "I am quite fine with what you do, its your life and I don't care. You guys have been so close to eachother its no surprise and I respect that."

"Thank you Knuckles..." Sonic told him with a relieved smile.

Tails had a warm bright smile. "Yes..thank you too...I'm glad you understand...but Amy...are you alright?"

Amy jumped up a bit with a nervous smile. "I'm never alright when somebody's hoggling my darling Sonic...let it be boy nor girl...and you guys should know that...my jealousness will go soon though...so don't worry..." Amy stuttered.

Everything Tails had hoped for was actually coming true. Everything he had hoped for, all the love and affection he wanted from his lover and all the understanding from his friends could be all that he wished for, and his wish was actually coming true. Tails could not have been happier right now then any other time in his life...

"We had to hide our love because we were afraid for what the world and you would think...but I've discovered the world doesn't care and nor do you...and it actually makes me feel liked in this world..." Tails explained to them the feelings he had locked inside of him for so long.

"I was being the bad guy though...saying for us to not express our love outside our apartments...but I was wrong and I'm sorry Tails..." Sonic gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and smiled. "Let me make it up to you for the rest of the night...this time we can hold our hands together..."

Knuckles smiled as he saw the two actually in bliss with eachother but Amy gave a small smile since she got so jealous but it rubbed right off of her and she started to giggle at a thought. "He he, maybe I should chase after you now Knuckles." She smiled lustfully.

Knuckles jumped off of his seat and started to back away. "Umm...Sonic...help..." Knuckles stuttered as he continued to back away from Amy's lustful eyes in the glistening moonlight. "I don't want to be the next Sonic!"

"Well..." She giggled. "You are kind of handsome." She then got off of her seat and started chasing Knuckles around Twinkle Park.

Sonic looked over at Tails and laughed. "Well, I finally got Amy off my hands and I got you in my arms..." Sonic gently told his lover.

Tails smiled at him. "Your so romantic Sonic..." His eyes closed have way and they were struck with true love.

He gently grabbed Tails hand and held it tight. "Let's go catch up Knuckles and Amy...and lets always be together..."

"I love you, Sonic..."

"I love you too, Tails..."

The two of them continued to night with Amy and Knuckles and there love was shown and it was free. They lived there lives together showing love and affection with eachother. They rode rides, had food, did some events with eachother that were magical and romantic. There two friends actually excepted them for whom they were and they were fine with it.

Tails love for Sonic was at its fullest and it would always be. The love they have had hidden is finally alive and all the emotions they've shared throughout these years are one. They couldn't be any happier together...and the sunset of the beach could be enjoyed by his boyfriend Sonic...

The love behind two people are very powerful. It can never be broken and it will always stay strong. Its what they have...an unbreakable bond...
