My little conqueror
Da, as usual, was sitting on a bench in the castle’s garden, very beautiful, with blossom trees and the wonderful scent of nature. Da was reading the story “My charming prince” it’s the hundredth time she read it. But she didn’t care. Da was addicted to it. Whenever she reaches the part where the woman and her ‘charming prince’ live happily ever after, its sunset already and she leaves back to the castle with a smile on her face. That was always the routine.
Da is reading: “…a tap on my shoulder.. I glance back, it was him, the man who’ve stole my whole heart..” suddenly—a hand reaches the book and takes it away from her hands.
Da look up. It was Her husband. Sun Ce.
The little conqueror as most people call him.
“you’re still reading that? Man, how you read these things? there’s no pictures in them!” Sun Ce commented. “I picture the novel in my head, I don’t need pictures. Now, would you give me the book , my lord?” Da asks politely. “Hey. Call me Ce! Gosh, I’m your husband for god’s sake!” Ce said, “alright. Lord Ce.. Would—” Da is interrupted, “don’t call me ‘Lord’ just Ce! Plain old CE!” Ce explained, Da takes a deep breathe.. Annoyed. He
Really messed up the story for her. “the book please?” Da asks patiently. “enough. you’re not reading those stuff anymore.” Ce demanded
“why?” Da pleads, her books.. Gone? No way! Sun Ce opens the book reads few lines out loud: “oh, he’s so handsome. Like a shining moon beyond the stars. Like a flower in the spring, like a—” Ce couldn’t read no more, that was enough to make him laugh hard. Da blushes. “what the! No wonder you’re so dramatic, ha ha, my charming prince, huh? Am I charming?” Ce mocks the book. “heck! I’m not a prince, I’m a lord. Wait till she—” Da stops him dead, raising her voice, sign she’s really furious!
He can mock her but there’s no way he’ll mock her books!! “Give me this!” she takes the book for Ce forcefully, and storm off to the castle. Ce, still on the bench. Looks at her as she furiously walk away.
