Chapter 1: Prelude to the fight

Cloud was with Hades discussing about their plan to terminate Sora and his two other companions.What they didn't know is that it had grown to three companions.A fellow girl that Sora had been looking for.Shiva was her name.She was a mysterious girl in her own ways, like who were her parents, she really didn't know.Her father was The Great Sephiroth, but she really didn't remember who was her mother.Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Shiva were heading into the lobby.
"Alright, I want you to take out Sora and the other two annoying companions, don't mess up"said Hades demandingly."The great god of the underworld is afraid of a kid?"remarked Cloud."Sorry, but my contract says-"Cloud was cut off by a disturbant growl from Hades."I know!"."Don't you think I know?"."I wrote that contract!"."I know it says to only kill Hercules on this match, but you gotta get those other three to get to him, I mean come on, a casualty or two is no big deal, right?".Trying to put a grin on his face, Cloud closed his eyes and thought for a moment.A sudden move of him leaning off the wall and making his way out."I'll do it"he said before he left."Yeesh, stiffer than the stiffs back home..."said Hades."Still, suckers like him are hard to come by".Grinning evily, he prepared himself for the match.
Cloud wandered out to the arena to watch it be lonely and empty.His thoughts and ideas of the girl in the pink dress had been erased from his memory, the only reason he did this was for his own selfish strength.Going into the backstage of the arena, he stood on the wall of a random corner, thinking to himself and waiting for the time to take action.
Sora had just been refused from Phil, the one who was in charge of the Olympus Coliseum.Having their heads down in rejection, they made their way out."Rejected..."said Sora while sighing."Don't take it so hard, I bet we'll get in somehow"said Shiva happily."I think that damn goat was unfair!"said Donald protesting."Gwarsh, maybe Shiva is right, we'll get in somehow"said Goofy cheerily.A dark voice came from behind them."I see that silly old goat is as stubborn as ever.They all turned to face the figure, it was Hades."How about I do a little something about it"said Hades appearing infront of Sora.With a wave of his hand, using his magic, a pass to the tournament appeared in his hand.Wrapping his hand around Sora's neck, he shoved it near his face."A pass?"said Sora confused.Hades took Sora's hand and gave it to him."Go ahead, take it, my gift to you"said Hades grinning."Hey, what's the catch"said Donald suspiciously."There, there, my fine feathered friend, there is no catch to it, just get in the game and I'll be cheering on"said Hades."Thank you, sir"said Shiva bowing."Gwarsh, that is mighty nice of ya"said Goofy.Hades looked over to Shiva."Four of you?"questioned Hades."Are you gonna compete little missy?"."Of course, sir"said Shiva smiling."Hrm..."thought Hades for a moment."Well, good luck you peeps"."Bye sir, take care"said Shiva waving.Donald crossed his arms and pouted.Goofy waved along with Sora.Hades walked off.
"Alright, a pass!"said Sora excitedly."I told ya"said Shiva teasing a bit."I guess you were right"said Sora."I don't trust him"said Donald somewhat disturbed."Oh come on Donald, he gave us a free pass!"said Sora waving it infront of Donald's face."Hey, cut that out!"said Donald.Sora smiled."Alright, let's go in and kick some serious butt!"said Sora putting up his hand as if he had already won the tournament.The four of them rushed in to participate.
Hades appeared infront of Cloud to tell him the news."There's four of them..."said Hades."Four?"questioned Cloud."I thought you said three"."It seems they found another one"said Hades."I bet you he'll be a piece of cake"said Cloud relaxing against the wall."Actually, it's a she"said Hades.Cloud coughed loudly."A girl?"said Cloud perking a brow."That's a first..."."I'll take her out in one blow".Hades pondered for a moment.


"Although she was extremely nice, I think you should go easy on her"said Hades."See what she does"."But take out the duck for firsts, he's rude and annoying".Cloud let out a small scoff."It seems you want to take out those who are abrupt on you first, let the ones who don't do you anything for last"grinneed Cloud."It's much like you".Hades glared at him and clenched his fists."Hey, I'm not paying you to say anything extra, just go do your job"said Hades."You might want to watch them fight so you can figure out what's their strategy and then use it against them"."I'll be watching".Hades walked off and vanished.Cloud let out a small sigh from disappointed and stood up straight.He then made his way over to the lobby and sign up.
Sora and the others were taking a couple of hints from Phil when he walked out."Sora, I'm kinda hungry..."said Shiva."Oh don't worry, we'll get something during the break or something"said Sora."Okies"said Shiva smiling.Donald looked over to the Cloud figure that was now approaching them.Goofy looked at the Cloud figure as well.Shiva heard a sound of birds chirpping and turned to face them.At a somewhat distant tree, two birds were feeding their nestlings a couple of worms."So cute"said Shiva smiling.As she stared at the birds, Sora and the others watched Cloud pass by."I wonder why there are so little clouds here"said Shiva.Cloud passed by with a dark presence on everyone.Sora looked at him challengingly and so did the others.Cloud stared at them from eye to eye, but his eye contact was soon cut off by Shiva's back.Looking at her, he continued walking forward, somewhat wanting to catch a glimpse of her face.Going up more infront to the other side of the arena, he took a look at her left side of her face.Shiva turned to see Sora who was still looking at Cloud.Seeing this, she turned to catch the same view as him.Cloud and Shiva met eye to eye distance.Standing still, she gave a small smile to him.Turning away from seeing the smile, he made his way to the dark corner of the bleachers.
"Something tells me that you might fight him sooner or later"said Phil."You think?"said Sora somewhat excitedly.Phil nodded."You should get ready, your first battle is gonna be up soon"said Phil."Alright!"said Sora jumping a bit.Goofy looked over to Shiva, noticing she was still wearing her normal clothes.A navy blue skirt that reached up to about four inches above her knee, a white shirt that had red short sleeves and red collar, black boots that almost reached to her knees, black gloves that covered her hands in case she fought a quick and small fight, and then her pockets that were full of potions and other useful things during a battle.
"Um Shiva, don't you think you should change clothes?"said Goofy.Shiva turned to face him."These are the only clothes I have...there aren't many stores around for clothes, especially for someone my size"said Shiva giggling a bit.
"Oh yeah, you're six foot one"said Sora."Maybe my magic would work"said Donald.Taking a small wave at his staff, he tried to change her clothes.A white mist formed around Shiva.Stepping out of it, Shiva began to cough loudly, her clothes remained the same."Gah, I think I almost choked..."said Shiva."Sorry"said Donald."It's alright"said Shiva.Sora laughed a bit.Goofy laughed a bit too.Shiva then joined in the fun and later then, Donald.


"Would group number three step up to the ring, your match is about to begin"was announced.Sora looked at the number that had been given to them, they were up for the match."That's us"said Sora cheery."Let's go do our best".Everyone nodded and made their way to the arena.Immidiately the shield was brough up and heartless appeared on the other side of them.
Sora brought out his Kingdom Keyblade, Donald his Mage Staff, and Goofy his Knight's shield.Shiva just stood there having a hand on her item bag.The battle then commsensed.Round after round, heartless droppes to the ground and were defeated by Sora and his group.Cloud observed, he noticed that Shiva didn't do anything but heal the wounded warriors.When she would be attacked, either of them would come to her aid and strike them away from her.Cloud nodded to his strategy and stood up.
Taking a breather, Sora and the others prepared themselves for the last match."One more and we win"said Sora confident.Running to the arena, they stood in their battle positions.No one appeared yet."Huh, what's the hold up?"said Sora.A figure made his way to the arena and stood on the other side of them, it was Cloud."Hey, isn't that the guy from earlier, the one that Phil told us about?"said Sora."I think it is"said Goofy."It is"said Donald."Good luck to us all"said Shiva."Shiva...you're supposed to wish us more good luck"said Sora."But we should all have the same equals"said Shiva."Now get ready"."Begin!''echoed.
