Bowser and the Diamond Mushroom

Don't own any of the characters except Domino. Iown the plot but nothing else *sigh*

Chapter 1

Bowser sat high up in his throne, gaping down at all of his children and subjects. Each and every one of them was a failure. Bowser was in a furious rage, once again Peach and Daisy failed to give in to his wicked ways. Once again he failed to make one of them Mrs Bowser. All that was thanks to that no good plumber, Mario. Thinking about how Mario had once again thwarted his attempts made him angrier, so angry to the point where he stood up from his throne and launched a fireball at his wall hanging. All seven of the koopalings ducked under the tables and Bowser's subjects ran out the way of their Kings wrath.

Bowser had been made king of his very own land a while back. He had been granted some desert remote island in which he should build his own fortress. This had been no easy feat, but with the help of the koopalings and his subjects it was eventually done. All he needed now was a spouse to share it with. Pondering for a moment what it would take to get either Daisy or Peach to fall for his charms, he came to a realisation that it would take more then just kidnapping them to reach his goal. What do girls like? He thought to himself. Of course being an evil dictator, what girls liked hadn't ever really crossed his mind, so he decided to seek advice from his subjects.

'Toyah!' Bellowed Bowser. A small koopa troopa laced with a pink bow came trotting in, bowing at her masters feet.

'Y-Yes Master Bowser?' Squeaked the small koopa.

'Tell me Toyah, what is it that women crave?' The koopa raised an eyebrow at her master.

'Something special master. Diamonds maybe? Nothing ordinary mind!'

Bowser stared at the koopa for a few moments. The koopa trembled at his feet, praying she hadn't said the wrong thing. Bowser smiled a malicious smile and howled with laughter.

'Yes, yes of course. Why didn't I think of it in the first place?' Bowser mumbled to himself. By this point everyone else had come out of hiding from the fireball. All the koopalings and koopa troopa's in front of him started to mutter amongst themselves.

'SILENCE!' Bowser roared 'I have decided on my future fate'

The murmuring stopped and everyone’s attention was firmly on Bowser.

'Firstly I intend to travel to Laralaland, Sarasaland's twin city and steal their precious Diamond Mushroom! Mwahahaha. The mushroom will help me win the heart of the either Daisy or Peach, don't mind which. The mushroom will grant me one wish and I shall become supreme ruler of the entire world. Mwahahaha! -'

All occupants of the room gawked at Bowser, never before did he have the guts to steal something so precious. Then their curiosity turned to fear. Whom will he choose to send in his place? Wendy Koopa stood up and faced her father.

'Who will you be sending on this mission, o' great father? Surely you would not risk one of your own flesh and blood? It is said that the Diamond Mushroom carries a great but tragic curse!'

Bowser laughed maliciously.

'Flesh and blood? Counts for nothing'

'Father? What are you saying?' Shouted Lemmy Koopa.

'Banished! The lot of you useless offspring! I've had enough of your pitiful excuses for failing me!'

'Where will we go?' Snapped Roy Koopa.

'I don't care! Just get out of my sight - Permanently!'

Lemmy, Ludwig, Wendy, Roy, Iggy, Larry and Morten all ran out of their fathers throne room, narrowly avoiding the koopa, which had just been launched at them by an incensed Bowser.

'If you want something doing right, then do it yourself' Muttered Bowser to himself.

Back in the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach had just finished baking a cake for a tea party that she was just about to hold. Mario and Luigi had been at her castle for hours, they had sent the afternoon playing tennis, with Toad helping them out. After their friendly game of tennis had ended the three friends walked inside to find Peach. Peach herself was accompanied by Yoshi and were walking towards the table with cake in hand. Yoshi's long tongue came out and tried to get a bit of the cake, but Peach gave him a sharp rap on the tail.

'Yoshi! Wait. Wario, Waluigi, Daisy and her friend have not arrived yet!' Peach scolded.

'When’s Daisy arriving, Peach?' Asked Mario, watching Luigi closely.

'Friend?' repeated Luigi.

'Any time now Mario and yes Luigi, friend'

There was a bang at the door and in walked two more guests.

'Wario! Waluigi! Nice of you to join us, come sit down' Smiled Peach pleasantly. As they sat down, Waluigi grinned at Luigi.

'Is your Lover coming Luigi?' Waluigi asked with a sarcastic tone to his voice. Before Luigi could respond Daisy walked in with a young lad about the same age as most of the room.

'Hello all! This is my friend Domino. He's the Prince of Laralaland'

everyone swapped introductions and the tea party was well underway. After everyone had eaten the guests started to mingle with one another. Yoshi and toad were talking to Wario about his latest conquest for gold. Waluigi was barracking Luigi on his dress sense, whilst Mario was busily chatting away to Peach, Daisy and Domino.

'So Domino, Daisy tells me you have your own ranch, with horses' Peach asked in awe.

'Yes I have nine horses in total; six have wings' Domino stated. Peach and Daisy both sighed. Mario rolled his eyes.

'So, umm, any spouses? Partners to help you with the hard task of ruling a kingdom?' Peach enquired. Mario stared at her and she shrugged back at him. Before Domino could reply Luigi walked over shaking his head.

'Jeese, Waluigi likes to heckle me allot' He moaned. Daisy gave him a pitying look.

'No Peach my dear. I have no spouse or partner. I am looking for one though' Domino gave a flashing smile and winked at both Princess's. Peach smiled and Daisy giggled. Luigi looked on helplessly.

'A bachelor eh?' muttered Luigi.

'He has his own horses too' grinned Mario. Peach coughed. Daisy frowned, but Domino missed the sarcasm.

'Yes I was just about to suggest to the lovely Princess's that they are welcome to come and join me one day' Domino said, glancing at Daisy. Peach moved closer to Mario and insisted that she was fine staying at home in Mario's company. Mario smiled broadly at her declaration. Daisy said she would be delighted to join him. Luigi put on a front in front of the Princess's and Mario

the conversation failed to go any further when Toad decided he would put on some music that the guests could dance or sing along to. Domino decided it was only polite to whisk Daisy around in his arms for a dance. Mario looked at Peach who nodded and they followed suit. Everyone was enjoying themselves with punch, cake and the music. Everyone, except Luigi, who was stood with his back to the wall. It was no secret to those who knew him best, that he had a thing for Daisy. His only problem was he didn't know how to tell her. He was far too shy to start talking about his feelings. Peach and Mario knew he liked her, but also knew he was shy and didn't always want to open up, so they left him alone and said nothing. He just slowly crept away from the room and wandered outside.
